ROFL @ mom!...........
-
Barbe, thankfully no. Arnie jr. is Arnie's sweet daughter who has joined us for some fun. Only now we have to distinguish between when she is talking about Arnie mom or me mom.
-
uh huh....just as I suspected...get me going and then zonk out...rofl That's ok mom...it worked...I'm cleaning! lol
Lucy...prayers still going up for you sweetie... thank you for the kind words about my dd...she really is a piece of cake and think she'll bring some laughter to this thread when she gets to know you guys... she's working today.
Barbe...((((((hugs)))))) so glad you came here first.... I have truly missed your dry wit... I have told everyone I know about your comment about watching thunderstorms from our garages here in the US... everyone gets a good chuckle out of it!
Ok... back to cleaning....arghhhhhhhhh
-
Don't tell Arnie Lucy, but I kind of collapsed back into bed after doing that one load of laundry. But will be ready to do some housecleaning karate as soon as I take dd to her exercise class.
So are you ready to kick it in gear Arnie gal?
-
Games on Arnie.....
-
Well, I have actual 'work-work' that I MUST do today, I've procrastinated thru all of our company, but the day or reckoning has arrived. Paperwork, paperwork, paperwork.
So I'll join in on the "git 'er done" momentum churning around here..... I'd like to have my gold star by noon -- 3:00 at the latest.
Hugs to all in need: side effects, treatment, worry, concern, lonliness, depression or dust balls.

I will be doing paperwork today and some light cleaning for a home appraisal we are having on Tuesday....yikes! I hate those..... Thank god I under-appraised the property when we asked for the line of credit. Now that they're doing a home appraisal, we will certainly come out on top, but I hate someone analyzing..... He did tell my DH not to worry about aesthetics, he is looking at the roof and stuff like that! Hey, it's not an inspection, why would he do that? It's to get a market value on our house.

Good Morning Ladies. I have to admit that I also have been cleaning. It's going to be a hot one today so I want to get it all done early. I washed the kitchen floor, stripped the beds and have the sheets in the washer, cleaned the maple syrup up from the chairs.........guess what my youngest had for breakfast!
Now I need to rest. I will continue to watch the cleaing war between Mom and Arnie. This is a war I don't want to participate in! Have fun Ladies!
-
Who took a picture of me doing a jumping side kick?!
Arnie & mom, stop it! I'm feeling terrible enough only doing 1 load of laundry yesterday.
-
-
Oh my goodness... I just avoided a potential disaster!!! I give my elderly neighbor containers of food when I make dinners...she is having financial difficulty and it helps her... Anyway...she had just given me some of the containers back and I started filling up the kitchen sink to wash them. Casey my dog started barking at the gate so I went out to check and pulled a few weeds. Came back in and had left the water running and the sink was just about to overflow! YIKES! That would've put me behind and given mom the edge... can't let that happen!!!
-
Arnie, Isn't that how you wash the kitchen floor?
-
Linda, I was thinking the same thing!
All this motivation to clean this morning! I am about to fold the load of laundry I washed yeasterday.
-
Better watch that yeast expect...
might make that laundry grow...hehehehe
hmmmmmmm never tried that Linda...lol but would've experienced it if I hadn't caught it!!! I use the swifter mops thank you very much....
-
Jamieh - A friend of mine told me she tries to pick up 17 things a dau and either puts them away or throws them out. I haven't tried it yet, but it seems plausable. I overslept and was late for work this morning. I feel like crap today, but I don't know why.
-
Jamieh, one solution I've found is to set a goal of really cleaning one small area a day. That might be a closet, or a dresser, or a cabinet, or a drawer, or the top of one piece of furniture. Breaking it down into those small pieces makes the job less overwhelming. It doesn't have the same impact as cleaning a whole room or the whole house, but over time, maintaining it is easier.
-
Too funny Pat... I used to tell my neighbor who is overwhelmed by everything to do the same thing... one thing a day. Since this stupid bc though I have become that procrastinator! Probably because half the time I'm not feeling too well.
JaneM... probably the same with you...it creeps up on ya...that stupid chemo!!!
Anyway, I'm not cleaning because I'm taking my lunch break... how ya doin' down there mom????
-
I do the same thing, plan on doing one thring a day. Many times I find that by accomplishing that one thing, it gives you incentive to move on to another thing. Don't tell anyone I said that, though.
-
Go ahead Arnie have a little bite of lunch cause I just got back and need the extra time to play catch up.....cause girl.......you are going down on this cleaning war.
-
Dishes, laundry, strewn toys and various articles on the floor....I'm coming in to get ya!
-
I do 2 things a day but it's always the same thing, laundry and dishes. I am going to try and pick up or put away 30 things a day and see how that works
It's almost like I have 3 kids instead of 2. I am almost finished the laundry now I have to put it away (but I am not counting it towards my 30 things). I'm just tired of the clutter and I wish I could just get my DH on board. He is a wonderful man in so many ways but just not when it comes to cleaning.
I did do 3 loads of laundry yesterday and put them on the clothesline and brought them in. Off to do more laundry.....
-
It is just breakfast time here. I am eating and then we are loading up (well it will take me most of the day to load) to go camping. I still need to do a few loads of laundry to get all I want. Then a few days of relative peace. I need to actaully get a few things done around here so that I don't come back to it on Sunday. My dd2 has been camping with friends all week and she will not get home till after we leave so I will have all her dirty clothes on Sunday to deal with, plus ours plus dd3 is leaving Monday for a week at camp!!!
I will be doing lots of laundry Sunday!
-
Have fun camping lovin!
