Happy Birthday Cathi
-
THE BABY IS BEAUTIFUL - I love babies.
Thanks for all the good wishes gals. Make plans for next year this time. I am throwing myself the biggest 50th birthday bash you have ever seen. No gifts, just fun and thanks for being 50 , key lime pie, and margaritas for all.
It has been a very relaxed day thus far, thats what I wanted, still lots of leg pain, Onco is going to schedule me for an X-Ray and MRI, if need be after those he will schedule PET scan, of all the scans I hate that one the most, it just seems like the smallest tunnel of all, kinda gets to me.
Ed and I went for breakfast with friends this AM, I had a huge stack of pancakes ( I even ate sausage) . Ed brought home a cool convertible and we went up the coast line to some fancy boutiques and I found 2 really nice summer dresses, that was part of his gift, he has always shopped on his own for me for tops and dresses (he's a good shopper- great taste) but kinda hard for him now, things don't fit like they used to, I am much pickier now.
It is hot out though, sun was just blazing down and the humidity is so high. The kids will be over Sunday for a bit for Fathers Day, but no beach I am afraid this weekend, resting a bit.
Sooooooooooooooooooo , I have blueberry muffins to make for the AM, thank you all again.
XOXOXOXOXOXO -To everyone.

Happy Anniversary Kim.......and many many more!
And welcome Patoo if I haven't already welcomed you to the housekeeping thread. MOM is right. We do alot more chatting than we do housework. I have the Shark steam cleaner mop and I love it for the kitchen and bathroom floors. You would be amazed at what they pick up. It was well worth the investment for me. I hate to mop anyway.......
Cathi......I'm so glad you're having a good birthday! The older you get (especially if you've been diagnosed with BC) the more special birthdays are. Enjoy every minute of it. And hey.......maybe we can come help celebrate #50 with you. That would be a blast!!
Special hugs and prayers for all the bunnies.
I'm sure missing 2new1's and Lursa. I hope all is ok. 2new1's was having surgery and I'm not sure about Lursa. I hope it's nothing serious.
Think I'm fixing to bake my DH a Father's Day Cake. That would be a good excuse for me to eat it.........LOL
-
Welcome Patoo. Sick back, relax and make yourself at home. I think you'll enjoy this group. It's a bunch of great gals!!! We're so glad to welcome new sisters....

Cathi... Happy Birthday again...glad to hear you had a day that you wanted...
I was supposed to go out tonight to small groups... but just not feeling good enough so dh went alone...
I told him we'll have to make a life size pic of me with a movable jaw and a string so he can take me with him when not feeling well...pull the string and I talk! lol
Patoo... glad to see ya over here, I see ya on the "game" threads. We have alot of laughs here...
All my other housework gal pals...hope you had a good Saturday!

New non-cleaners: WELCOME!!
It's unlike me to know anything about housework, but we do have a steam cleaner contraption for the floors and it's a marvel. Like magic. Highly recommend. (My house cleaner loves it! LOL)
Cathi. so glad that you've had a proper birthday and congrats on finding the dresses to make you smile. I think that husband of yours gets big props for knowing what you need.
lovinMama: HAPPY Anniversary to you!! Congrats on the accomplishment.
Patoo: glad to see you here.
****Our friend Saint just posted on her 'prayer' thread. She's completed her rads & now started chemo, following a transfusion. Thank you for your continued prayers on her behalf.
Tonight the village south of us is having a HUGE summer celebration, a lighting of bonfires, called Fyr Bal. It's the scandanavian burning off of the winter witch. Big extravaganza. Going down on the motorcycle in an effort to find parking.
xx00xx00xx00xx
It crossed into the 80's for the first time this season. Hit 81!!

Hi, Patoo! Good one, L-V, LOL!!
Arnie, how's Mr. Arnie feeling? Tell him we all wish him a Happy Father's Day.
Hi, everyone. I've been doing a lot of housecleaning today -- on my computer!!!! You know, backing up files, deleting old crap, updating my blog, cleaning out the old email -- all while sitting & drinking iced coffee and listening to online radio!! My kind of housework! Wouldn't it be great if you could get rid of dirt around the rest of the house by hitting the Delete button??
-
We are heading up to my brothers tonight to take dd for the start of her trip. Getting harder for me to let go. How do they grow up so fast????
Also found out I am dealing with an abscessed tooth that I had just gotten filled about 4 or 5 months ago. The receptionist told me my dentist is out of the country and I couldn't get in till Thursday to have the tooth fixed. So I went to see my family practice doc today to get antibioitcs. He thinks I'll be fine till my dentist comes back but I may try to find someone else to do it come Monday the Lord willing. Dental procedures are not my favorite thing to do and thats an understatement. Coonie if this keeps up I might need me a pair of them fancy teeth you have.

Well thanks all for the welcome. The "motivation" thread groupies said I needed to move some more so I let my fingers walk me right over here to you crazy folk! Sorry I goofed and mentioned the floor steam cleaner giving the impression that I thought housework might be fun. I mean, I can at least buy all these gadgets that are supposed to make life easier - didn't say I would actually get up off the couch and use it.
-
Hi ladies,
We all went to the dirt track races tonight. A friends husband was racing and we had a good time. This was the first time my girls had been. Felicity thought it was great and yelled and screamed and now wants to be a race car driver when she grows up. Porshalin on the other hand was not impressed. She thought it was hot and dirty and noisy and wants to stay home next time and paint our nails.
-
Happy Father's Day to all the men in our lives! My daddy passed in 1998, and I still miss him...
Julz... love the pennant!! Thanks!
Patoo... Good to hear you might choose to stay on the couch...heheheh
bkc... Funny story, good for Porshalin... I lived very near the Flat Rock race course and I thought it was dusty, dirty and loud! lol
Hope you all have a good day with dh's, father's and have wonderful memories of daddy's that have passed on...
(((((((((((((((hugs to everyone)))))))))))))))) (((((((((shiny))))))))))) I know this is the first Father's day without your dad...sending good vibes your way...
-
Mom, the dentist can't touch that tooth while it's still infected anyway. Unless he's going to pull it. You'd still need antibiotics either way!
(That was your mother talking....)
Back to work......sigh.
-
-
Oh MOM.........so sorry about the tooth!!! Those can be very painful. Our dentist here will put you on antibiotics a few days before he even touches it. Hugs and prayers to you today!!!!
Wooohoooott Sharon said no housework..........and I ALWAYS do what Sharon says!!
(((((((((((((((((((special hugs to everybody who needs 'em))))))))))))
Arnie!!!!!!!!!! Good to see you girlfriend.
Thinking about Shiny today.........and Lursa...........and 2new1's.......and everybody else!

Hello. I have sinned. I did laundry the day after surgery. Hubby is scowling at me. He left for 2 hours (more like 4) and what did I do?

Kimberly- Congrats on the 21st anniversary!! We will celebrate our 23rd this summer. My how the time flies, huh?
Arnie- Sorry you were feeling too poorly to go out. That stinks. Hope Mr. Arnie is doing well. He is still in my prayers.
Faith- At this point I would kill for 81 degrees!! We've crossed over into triple digits.
(That's sweat- not tears on that little guy!)
Kathi- Computer cleanup definitely counts!
Coonie- How you doing? I know you are sweating next door to me here. Try to stay cool!
Mom- Nothing worse than a toothache! Sorry you have one. I agree with the others though. They won't work on it while it's infected, so get those antibiotics and start getting better! ((Hugs))
Julz- That pennant is gorgeous!! It always touches me to see our names on something like that. We are an awesome group!! So glad I found y'all!!!
Patoo- Welcome! Nice to meet you! What's the motivation thread? Sounds like something I need.
bkc- I think I'm a Porshalin!
Barbe- Don't work too hard!
Sharon- Hi!
Shiny- (((Hugs))) Always in my prayers girl.
Happy Father's Day to all the DH's and dads out there!! I lost my dad in 1993 and I miss him so much still. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him and love him and miss him.
I told this on my chemo thread but don't think I did here. Some might remember that I'm the idiot who had the PAP smear the day after my first AC. I never heard anything and it's been a month. I assumed all was well and forgot about it. Yesterday I got a letter from my PCP in the mail. When I opened it, I realized it was about my PAP. I could hardly breathe until I scanned down the page and saw, "Normal. No evidence of cancer." I admit. I cried. I guess it's always going to be like this now. Before BC, I just assumed any test looking for cancer would be normal. Now I know better.
Love and hugs to my dust bunnies!! Have a wonderful day and celebrate your daddys!!!
It's going to be a scorcher here. I'm headed to the pool. Tomorrow is lab work. Tuesday is chemo. Wednesday is Neulasta. After this one, only one more AC!!! Then 12 Taxols. I booked a condo on the Texas coast yesterday for the little break in between AC and Taxol. I need a celebration!!! Off to enjoy my last "good" day before chemo week starts.
