Deb, I hate the low rise jeans too. Since putting on weight with Tamox, I now have a gut. I guess the low rise jeans sit right under my gut, and they are uncomfortable! I'm glad they fit Mary. Everyone is diferent. I bought a Gloria Vanderbilt skort (is that what they call them??? shorts under a skirt) and they were high waisted!! YEAH!
-
Yeah, but ya'll are talking about the low, low rise like the kids wear. There is another level. That is what I wear. They are low rise, but they sit just slightly below the waist. I only wear Levi's 505's. Love them!! And it's all good Mom! You'll never see me looking like that!! EVER!!!!
They should cater to everybody though. You are right Deb. Nothing worse than a bad fitting pair of jeans. Nothing better than a good pair!! I live in jeans.
-
Deb, Here - this is for your grandson
-
Hey Jane, can we have one too?????
-
Popscicles for everyone!!
-
Thanks makraz, the cherry popsicle was great!
Hugs to all, I hope the dust bunnies are winning under everyone's beds. Long live no housework.
kicking back in the chair, staring at the rain, sucking on the cherry popsicle stick.
-
Flash, I see you are kind of close to me too. Can you believe this rain!! I am SO sick of it!! The kids need to go out and play! I am having a pool party Saturday for my soon to be 14 y.o. son. I don't want them all in my house all day and night! UGH!!
-
It IS NOT going to rain on my relay tomorrow, Linda. (I'm on the Mass border). There is actually a 20% chance of rain, but I'll take that, considering it has rained every other day this week. On the bright side, at least I haven't had to worry about watering the flowers I planted on Saturday.
-
Have fun on your Relay Jane. You are on one end of MA and I am on the other. I don't think we could be further apart! It's going to rain here all day tomorrow. The mushrooms love it!
-
Where is Barbe at lately?
-
Just send the rain this way please. And some cool air would be nice too. It has been in the triple digits here for the past week. Everyone is buying sun reflecting window covers for their houses offices. You walk outside and breath in heat. No crazy weather please, just a slow gentle rain would be nice.
-
I'm here! I like low-rise jeans that are made for the mature woman too! I fought and fought and fought to not try them on, then broke down and guess what? I look good in them! Who would have thunk it? It does take a bit of trying on until the cut is right and I'll probably never find another pair like them. Apparently I fit the "Chicago" cut the best.
I find they don't cut into my belly when I sit down, and actually lengthen my torso when standing. I don't expect to look thin, but with the low rise, you don't get those love handles going on.
I MIGHT have passed Mick! Maybe. I'm almost afraid to hope. But today was a relatively pain-free day with my meds! I am being cautiously optimistic...
-
Good morning all.
I haven't read back yet, I'm just quickly popping in here before going off to see my dentist. Another thing to fit in before I start chemo.
Barbe great news about Mick! Wishing you another pain free day ( totally pain free this time) and keeping everything crossed that he has gone for good.
(((((Hugs to everyone)))))
-
Good Morning Everyone. Barb, I sure hope you are right! Mick is gone!
More rain today. Sick of it. Got to go shopping today for my sons bday this weekend. Lot's of laundry to do to!
-
Good morning everyone. MIck had better be long gone (((barbe))). Yesterday they said scattered rain, so we ended up with almost 2 inches officially recorded... Mushrooms here are so big and tall they are falling over.
Just got my second cup of coffee and one load of laundry is done, another in dryer and last one in the washer. I shredded some more - weeding out the filing cabinet bit by bit. Next week is my next to last Herceptin - is that something to "look forward to"... Celebrate those small steps forward.
I do see the sun out there, but clouds on the horizon - prob more scattered rain... Have a great day and a wonderful weekend. HUGS, Nancy
-
Celebrate indeed........
We are grandparents yet again!! This makes number 6 bambino, between the two of us.
Our Denver Duo has added to their boy count! They now have 3 boys out there in the mountains -- so very far from us. We're thrilled that their tribe-of-testosterone has welcomed another member. (Da mommy thought her life would be easier if it was another boy. LOL. They didn't find out the sex until delivery.)
It's a happy day for us, indeed.
xx00xx00xx
So I think in honor of a safe arrival -- that's no housework for anyone for the whole weekend.
Besides we all have to go to EWB-Elaine's BIG BIG party to help them celebrate all of those birthdays at her house!!
-
PAH TEE time... New grand babe, birthday celebration, no housework... grab a chair, put your feet up, relax and enjoy.
-
Barbe ((((((((hugs))))))))) great news about Mick!!!
Faith (((((((hugs))))))) congrats grandma!!!
Hope everyone has a blessed day....((((((((((((hugs to everyone)))))))))))

Good morning to all my Bunny friends!!! Happy Friday to everyone. Hope you all have a blessed day!
Praying for those in treatment, etc.
Arnie, Mr. Arnie, MaryRose, Lursa, Shiny, 2new1's, Deb, (and grandson), Kathleen.......anybody else I'm forgetting, but will remember as soon as I log off.....hehe LOL
Celebrating with Faithie today!!!!! A new little wee grandson!!! How SWEET it is!!!!!! Congratulations Faithie (GeeGee).......can't wait to meet him......pics and name
-
Good morning all. In reading the jean controversy I wear Walmart's elastic waist ones. I hope that by the time the shoulder heals I will be able to find what I laughingly call my waist.
LEFTY: Where are you in Virginia 'cause out here in horse country (Loudoun County) it looks clear as a bell. I love the rain because it makes everything around a lush green. The only reason I hate the rain is the dogs won't go out! Talk about being divas.
FAITH: A heartfelt congratulations on the arrival of your sweet grandson. Is there anything better than a fresh new life?
BARBE: My sister hasa propensity for developing kidney stones and she said it is the worse pain EVER so I truly hope the little bugger passed!
LINDA: Constant rain can and will get on your nerves so hang in there!
JANE: I want in on the popsicles - just make mine sugar[free which is basically frozen chemical water.
TO ALL OF YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY.
-
Kathleen, can you tell it's on my nerves??? IT'S STILL RAINING!!
-
Good afternoon all! Internets been down all morning..wonderful..Only have a few before I gotta leave for radiation...wanted to tell all Hi!!!!!!!!!!! Hope all are doing well and Congrats again on the new baby!!!! Love babies, smell so good...Only prob is they grow up. LOL....Prayers to all who need it!!!
Love and hugs
Deb

Thanks for all of the congrats! Can't wait to see the pictures...... They have yet to name their bundle of joy. They never name their babies till the hospital starts shouting at them. They like to get acquainted first..... to figure out who the little peep is...... we'll see how long it takes them this time. The first two went nameless for ages after their births. Seriously.
oh, but the reason I clocked back on..............
I see over on FB that tomorrow is our Cathi's birthday!!
Time to have a housework/NOT, birthday party.
This cake looks way to small, but I'm giving it style points for the polka-dots.
(Some of you know how much I'm fond of polka dots!!)
-
Whoop. Whoop. Whoop!!!!
-
I can just picture all of the fun over @ Elaine/EWB's big blast..... you know we're all invited, there, too!!
This is gonna be a great weekend..... party hopping AND a new baby to adore!!
-
Love the polka dot cake - here's another one - not as nice as yours -
Wow! I'm never gonna catch up!!
Faithie, I'm happy to give you another big hug for your 6th grandbaby!!! That's an amazing birthday cake there, BTW, but I noticed Cathi's B day coming up on FB, too!! LOL
Happy B-Day tomorrow, Cathi!!! That means we ALL get the weekend off from housework, right??
Barbe, I'm holding my breath with you about Mick!!
I'm woefully behind on everyone's news, but I'm really happy to read good news, so XXOO for all the good news. And (((((((((((( gentle hugs ))))))))))))) to all still grappling with bad stuff.
Jane, where exactly is the Relay? Stockbridge? Love western Mass. Maybe this guy will lend you his hat if you need it.
