Tomorrow I'm going to Pickity Place with some BC gals from the "What's for dinner" thread, this is the 3rd time we have met up with eachother.
Sunday, I'm meeting up with some friends from HS, going to the 99 in Westford. I'm gonna gain the 10lbs I lost
-
YOU GO AND HAVE A GOOD TIME DEB...
I ALREADY GAINED THE 6 POUNDS BACK...
-
I hope everyone has a good time and doesn't gain any weight back!
Our annual band show we host is tomorrow. Will be busy working "Hospitality" in the cafe for the band directors and staff. DD is marching at the college football game and then trying to rush home with other HS alumni to see the high school show. Hope they can get through post-game traffic quickly.

I'm sore today. Didn't really do all that much that should have made me sore - except for all the standing. I am so weak and out of shape.
I have to return a purse I bought - again. I need a bigger purse than the one I've been using to accommodate reading glasses - grrrr. I wish I could just have one in black like the bone colored one I have, but they don't make any like that anymore. The black purse I've been using for the last several years - that I bought at Walmart for $8 - is perfect except that it is too small to hold reading glasses. So I bought a new one and got it home and couldn't fit all my stuff in it - so I brought it back. This was after I spent forever comparing several of them. I liked a few features of each, but not all the features of any one. So then I had to decide which bigger one to get. And of course they had only one and a side zipper was stuck in the lining of the pocket. (Bad omen, but I don't plan to use those pockets.) So I ordered one online. I get it, start figuring out where I will keep all my stuff in it, and then find that there is a pocket inside where the lining isn't sewn at the top. Ugh. Considered keeping it anyway-but I figure it will rip eventually or something. I'm not totally thrilled with it, but I couldn't find another that would work for me and all my crap - lol. And I don't think I have that much crap, but I guess I do. So...I guess I will return it and order another in the hope that the new one was made right... This is why I hate shopping and buy things only when I HAVE to.
On a positive note, DD made it to and from the football game, transporting all the kids who needed rides and got to our Home Show earlier than I thought she would. And I heard that our band performed well. I didn't get to see it - I was working Hospitality. Next year I'll see it though - DS will be a senior.
Hope everyone has a nice day today. ((((((TOL))))))

Chris ~ I so know the hassle of searching & settling on the right purse. I bought a very nice purse (spent more $$ than I intended to) two years ago, used it for the last two winters. It's brown, has lots of pockets, but I found out right away that when I have it shouldered, it is very hard to get into. Not as wide on the bottom as I'd like - I can't believe I didn't realize that in the store. By the time I have my wallet, separate zippy case for aspirins, nail file, chapstick, that kind of crap, an envelope with coupons/discount stuff, another small holder for credit cards (yeah, have too many of those!), and sunglasses, it is hard to get into to even put a receipt in while in the check-out lane in a hurry. And, now that I have an iPhone, the slot for that is tight. My old phone fit better because it was a small flip-phone. I will have to put it where I put my keys, but I don't really want it there. Oh, such problems yee purse brings me!!! My summer purse is perfect & I would love one just like it in brown. BUT, like you have found, they don't make it anymore! Thinking of looking for a new one before the snow flies anyway OR I'll just spend the winter complaining like the last two winters!
Deb, love the boob napkins with the Chardonney on one side & a Colonoscopy on the other!!!

The chocolate wine is yummy! Dutch Choclate with whipped cream and red wine. The brand is Choco Vine. Check it out. I found a gift for DS#3 for a pre-wedding gift at Williams SOnoma, and just wasn't in the mood for Pottery Barn. One of my favorite shopping buddies was not able to make it so I hung out with"the guys" a lot.
As a sidenote, it was interesting to see Tony Dow (Wally from Leave it to Beaver) at the show.
Today is a wierd day at work, I am the only employee who must come in until after lunch. It is year end and we can't have any one do anything until my books are closed.
-

Ok, we are now in our little apartment - strangely DH and DD love it. They are now wondering why we bought a little house! So grateful for DS today who spent hours getting everything here working whenI was unsuccessful with com-ass, I mean comcast. He got on the phone with the rep and used words and phrases that may or may not mean anything at all, but it got us service. Yay! I don't think I could relax without phone, internet, and tv. Shame on me!
-
Deb...It was breathtaking Thanks
Diane...my friend who lives in a little apartment
...nice to see you're back......How is cutie pie?
-
Glad you are all moved in and the electronics are up and running, Diane.
Meece - I hope you closed the books without any problems.
Sheila - I hope you like the wrap.
I'm finally taking that test tomorrow that I've put off for the better part of a year.
I hope the real thing is like the practice tests I've been taking. Otherwise, I might be in trouble. My head is swimming. I hope it doesn't get all scrambled come test time.
