Linda...was that your choice the 3 days?

Good for you Sandy. Slow and steady!! Keep drinking and trying to eat. We miss you!
Yes, Sheila, I can work whenever I want. Total flexibility but dont want to piss the others off since I am the owners SIL. My neice is jobsharing with me. She wanted tues and thurs so I said I would do m, w, f. That should be enough. Still very tired and getting used to this. Got home tonight to an email from sons teacher, he missed 3 homework assignments last week so he has detention Thurs. I made him do all the assignments tonight even though he wont get any credit. He's my special ed chil and I think he is lost without me helping him. He's 13 and needs to start doing this by himself. It doesn't have to be right, but he needs to try! -
Linda...i'm sorry for family issues.....what time do you get home?
-
I get home about 4:45 to 5 depending on traffic. Then off to socceer etc. Should be enough time to get things done, I just have to adjust to my new routine!
-
Maybe he needs some adjustment too.....Everything will work out...Thinking of you and sending you heartfelt hugs♥
-
Thanks Sheila. We will work it out!

Sandy, it is so good to see you posting. You had us worried! Keep up your strength so you have plenty of hugs for Andrew!
Congratulations on the paper signing, Diane.
Thank you for the compliments. Linda, I usually make linzers for the holidays as well. I made the linzers with the heart cut outs. I had some grand idea to cut out the kids' initials but my letter cutters were too small and the holes sealed up as the cookies baked. I used strawberry rhubarb jam. So yummy!
I hope you can relax a bit now that your working is only three days a week, Linda. This five day nose-to-the-grinstone gets old.
Sheila, Deb, Chris,....Hi!
-
Hi Sandy - glad to hear you are getting better - even if it is slowly.
Glad to hear the shower went well - that table is beautiful.
I don't even know what linzer cookies are - but I'm sure I would like them!
3 days a week is a good number - a few days of work and some time to still get things done at home. Including chasing after the kids to do their work. So frustrating. My DS is nearly 16 and I'm still having to chase him to do his work. And I'm not sure the college student is doing everything she should be doing either... Hope your DS makes the adjustment smoothly and starts to stay on top of his work now.
I snuck a "run" in before the rain started. I needed it after I pigged out yesterday. I had a donut with the in-laws when we stopped for coffee after Dr. appts and then later I made this Reese's dessert that DD bought the night before when she picked up cake mix for a cake she made for her friend's birthday. Mmmmm...Reese's. It was a no-bake dessert - just melt some butter, mix some things, layer them, and refrigerate. Not good for my weight loss effort though.
Hope no one has any bad weather today.

Hi ....So windy..not too much heavy rain yet.....
♥
-
Windy here, not a lot of rain either, but we're suppose to get hit hard...........Have to pick my grandson up at school..........he misses being a "bus student" by 1 block............the walk he takes is crazy.....................I know, I know, we walked 10 miles to school in the snow, barefoot, and uphill..................somehow it was ok, for me, but I hate to see him doing it...................plus his book bag must weigh 40lbs...........he gets a laptop in HS, and has to bring it home everyday.................not to mention 4 inch thick books, and 4 binders.....................ridiculous, but he is a straight A student.......bet most don't bring home all those books.................oh well.........I watched him one day from the window walking down the street...........if he didn't lean forward, he would fall over backwards........lol..if the weather is good he walks.............just rainy days he gets picked up.

We can all use a good laugh.....It's German....The last 2 women are hysterical.....

Hi everyone! It has been a very long time since I have been by here. I was invited by Sheila (♥) over a year ago & posted but then drifted away.
Some days I just want to throw out a thought (thinking out loud) into the universe & some threads seem inappropriate for that. Like this:
I was standing in my grocery store this morning waiting to return a bottle of body lotion I decided I didn't want. I switched the bottle from one hand to the other & realized the bottle was wet. I thought, "Holy crap, where did this come from?!?" Then I realized I was in the middle of a major HOT flash & my hands were sweating big time. Good grief!! So I wiped it off on my jeans so the clerk wouldn't think I'd dropped it in a puddle of water or perhaps spit on it when I handed it to her.
It is so great to see you all. Rain, ducky, Meecie, K, Chris, Sandy, Deb, Makratz ~~ everyone. Hope you don't mind me coming into your room, hope there is an extra chair.
Val

Welcome back Val. We've kept a chair reserved for you and hope you use it often from now on!

Welcome back Val!!! Keep visiting us!
WINDY here, supposed to get violent thunderstorms overnight with up to 2 inches of rain! -
What a welcome back! Thanks you guys!
Hi chabba!!
Hi Linda!
The chair looks comfy, Sheila. I'll plant my butt. (I always tell my grandkids to 'plant your butt' & they laugh & laugh! crazy kids! or is it 'crazy grandma?!?) I've got my iPhone (new since April) & I'm good to go. Anybody else have one? I am very pleased with the phone. Mini computer, I call it. lol
So much cooler here, in the 60's. LOVE it. Hated those crappy 90's-100's! I don't like to sweat!!
-
I have a DROID, not an iphone. My DH HATES apple lol so we always buy the competition. I love the droid and it is a mini computer, video camera, camera and so much more that I have no idea what it does. My kids laugh at me! Enjoy the iphone!
-
