Hope your feeling good...............prayers and hugs.

What should I be doing today to keep my brain busy.....

Sheila..........someone suggested Krill Oil supplements........I was taking fish oil, but have read a lot about Krill, and it seems the "jury" is in and it thinks Krill is the best.............helps with arthritis, and joint pain, so what the hell.........may as well try it..............thanks for your welcome back.......hugs.
-
Happy Sunday! Heading back to the city shortly but wanted to comment on krill vs. fish oil. Most of the studies recommending krill is the "best" are published by the producers of krill oil. The only presented benefit is that it is better or more quickly absorbed which is sort of true. Fact is you would have to take up to ten krill pills per day to receive this benefit at a cost of....? You would be better served to purchase cold processed fish oil which is available at Costco - I will provide the name when I get home if interested. Having said that, I have been taking the stuff for many months and it has not improved my comfort level on the Arimidex (aka Estrogen Sucking Drug). I stopped three weeks ago and I feel amazing - still considering what I will do long term. But my DH said I was crying and moanng all night long. Aside from all that, my DH is the top supplier of both products and a consulting scientist. Finally, pharma grade fish oil is just an opportunity for pharma companies to sell something for more and have it covered by insurance. Oh and what type of antioxidant is used shouldn't matter as they all have to meet human consumption guidelines.
-
Sorry you are suffering so much Ducky. Hope the fish oil works!
((((((TOL)))))) ♥

I'm sorry too Ducky!

I worked for Pharma too........I know how they operate, and I actually worked in Marketing Research, so I knew about most drugs while they were still in the pipeline...............if just one person tells me they got relief from taking pure Krill, I will try it..........it is too inexpensive not to........If I can spend what I spend on a drug that is ruining my life, I surely will try one that at least 1 person got help from..........it is worth the money...........we're not talking my bank account.......I paid dearly to have my QOL destroyed...............I will see what happens when I take Krill........I will do whatever it takes "not to give up"..............I'm not a quitter, but I'm close to it................one more thing to try...........will let everyone know how I do..............hugs.
-
sam will be with me shortly
-
Thanks for you support ladies..............hugs.
-
Ducky what are you taking that is giving you problems......did I miss something...if so I apologize...well we never went to HL, so called friend reneged on the offer.....I get the QOL part I had that with Xeloda, it was horrible...would have taken myself off of it IF it had kept working but it didn't so we moved on...People don't get the QOL part until you are faced with it.....
Agreed Shiela I think that there is the perfect dress there waiting for you, a MOTB dress in Hawaii for a wedding in Hawaii, how perfect....
Happy Sunday....recuperation is getting better, have to go to the oncologist on Tuesday to see when I go back on chemo, last one was June 14th..Haver to make an appt with the surgeon who did the surgery, keep forgetting....

Good morning. Today is DD's first day of class. Spent some time looking for her keys - ugh. Luckily she was not running late. They were under a few things on the floor in the hallway. Will this be enough for her to realize she needs to clean up her act and not leave all her stuff all over the place? Unfortunately, I don't think so.
Had her drive me to school with her on Friday and Saturday. Hope she gets there okay today. She has her GPS, but the stupid thing wants to take her through Hartford which she doesn't want to do. I put a route in there with "waypoints" to try to get the thing to take us the way I wanted to go. But I still couldn't get it to work the way I wanted - close, but not exact. GPS's suck.
-
Good Morning♥
-
I think Mapquest uses the same technology as the gps. I was trying to drag the route that it chose to be the route I chose and it kept trying to make me do u-turns to take me back to its route. Eventually, I dragged the route to the street my street is off of and it took me past my street and back to the starting point and then to home the way it wanted to go. omg.
-
Hope she made it. I have the same problem with my GPS.
-
I never use mapquest I only do google maps...made the appt, and apparently it was made and they never told me for tomorrow @ 230, well I have an ocologist appt @ 230 also, luckily they are 1 floor apart....so will go to the surgeon first then the oncologist....
Happy Monday!!
-
Sandy...............thought about you each time we passed Holly Lake....................wow and you weren't even there.............not nice...................
The problem is the Femara..............it is friggin killing me...........just trying to hang in, but it is getting really harder each day...............got worse about 2 months ago...............swollen legs, feet, ankles, and the pain in the feet is terrible................love doing things with the grands, and my daughters, but finding it harder to keep up................getting the Krill oil........heard that helps..................
Also the cost went through the roof, when I hit the "gap" it didn't take long, and I have 6 months left for the year.............so I ordered Letrozole............got Teva........they say it is the best of the generics..............if this makes things worse.......................I'm done.......................adios, avoir, and see you later.....................will not give up anymore QOL.......................
-
Don't blame you - QOL is so important. Hope the generic feels better and if not, hope the krill takes care of the pain.
.
Good luck at your appts, Sandy. Hope the first one is quick so you can get to the second.
-
Ah Femera, wish I would have kept a journal about all the chemos and hormonal and what they did, I should stop now....don't think I had a SE from F, was on it for about a year and it worked for the entire time, then it didn't...sorry you are having the issues cancer sucks.....
Thanks chris I have to go to both so i will figure out a way....
