Thinking Out Loud.....

Goodnight - my son and his wife came over for a visit so I have been off tonight....ttyl
-
I turned on the Christmas songs as I was cleaning up the Thanksgiving mess by myself yesterday. Went out shooting with the kids, then came home in time to get all the leftovers out and let everyone forage for their dinners.
DIL had a complete meltdown so I went in to talk it out with her. Had her laughing and cleared up which was greatly appreciated by DS. With her pregnancy, she is very emotional, and the holiday brought up horrible memories of her mother and tha side of the family. I can't believe what a mother or family can do to a child mentally!

CELEBRATION OF LIFE
HAPPY DANCE FOR MEECE'S 7TH YEAR
MANY MANY MORE...............♥
-
Just got back from the hairdressers, every 5 weeks I have to have it colored otherwise the white starts showing through. Not grey, WHITE. Soon I am going over to drop off some items for my Dad then come home. BBL
-
Happy 7th Meece!! Congrats!
DH and I are installing our new dishwasher and washing machine. So far we are still married.
-
Deb - I had no choice but to stop coloring my previous auburn hair because I became seriously allergic to all dye. I was shocked to discover how white my hair is! I actually like it now, a lot. Plus I have the two hours every 5 weeks and $50 bucks or so
It is really funny because I thought my auburn hair was pretty nice, but nobody ever once commented on my hair like they do with the white. ....weird.
DH and I are pulling out Christmas decorations and discussing light hanging. We are currently married as well but by about 5 p.m. that could change
I have always made pretty decent meatballs but last year I came across a new recipe, pretty different from what I have seen before, and it makes the best meatballs. So I just made a double batch - 1/2 of the first batch for us tonight, 1/2 to deliver to DS, and the last batch into the freezer for when Grampy arrives.
-
Happy 7th Meece, Congratulations also♥
-
My DH is better with electrical not plumbing.
Grampy, that is what my DD and nieces call my father. My hair is not all white, just around my temples and a patch on the right side of my forehead the rest is salt and peppered.
I do the decorating myself, seems like I do everything myself. Do you want to share the recipe? We will probably have a pot luck Christmas Party at work, I could make those.
Those 10 days I took off sure went by fast.
-
I never colored my hair.
Before BC I had some gray growing.
But after the chemo hair came back the same texture and color but no gray.
Maybe I should put my glasses and check it out again its not that it makes a different.
-
My DH is better with, um not electrical or plumbing
Grampy is my DH's dad who lives in Maine. He is 86 and still visits us 3/year. This time though, I will not be letting him use my car - it is time for somebody to say no as he really shouldnt be driving and it seems I am the only one with the cajones about it. Last time my daughter was texting that she was scared and that everyone was passing and blowing horns.
I will PM you the meatballs, they really are good. DH might do the lights but doesn't like heights and it is raining and cold so I doubt it. Football is on....I can't decorate when they are all home anyway.
Your ten days off and my 14 days without caca pills went way too fast.
I thought it was just my temples and a little salt and pepper too
I love your hair color!
-
Linda & RCG...I hope you both are still married when I'm posting this.
-
He is snoring on the sofa so I am pretty sure we are still good
-
What's caca pills?
-
Tomorrow will be our 40th Anniversary. YIKES, 40 years with the same guy.
-
cytoxan
the C of CMF - they taste like caca
-
Yah, what's caca pills?
-
Deb - OMG! Congrats! How old were you when you got married for goodness sake? Will you have some sort of celebration?
-
Cytoxan has the pill now? I got the chemo by IV.
40 years....Is that a good yikes or bad?
-
Sounds like a good yikes to me. Apparently the west coast docs prefer the 14 day course of pills while the east coast docs add it in to the IV. I have begged for the IV version but he won't. Going to ask again as I think I would tolerate the process better in that case...
-
Well..Im taking a dinner break
To Be Continued..........
lalalalalalalalaaaaaa keep singing
-
mememememememeeeeeeee
-
It is a good YIKES. Sometimes I would like to boot him in the ass cause sometimes he can be so nasty with the remarks and he patronizes me. I ask him what do you want to do for our 40th anniversary, he says, "What ever YOU like to do, I ask, where would you like to eat, same bloody answer, that can start an argument right away. It's our anniversary not mine you dumb ass!
-
I was just 19 and he was 19 also.
-
So you grew up together
Ever since BC, I really get frustrated with having to make decisions - doesn't matter what but I am worn out on decision making so I say if you want dinner, you have to tell me what you want cause I can't decide.
-
Basically yes, our parents would go skiing and camping sometimes. They stopped when I was about 13. Later on in the years DH's father had brain surgery do to an aneurysm so my parents went to visit them, I was about 17 or 18. They gave me a picture of him and I was interested so we started dating. I'll post our HS pictures on FB if I can find them.
-
COngrats Deb!! I met my DH at 15, it's fun to grow up together!
Dishwasher is installed and so is the washer. I am still happily married!
-
LOL, I'm glad to hear that Linda.
Well, one more day and it's back to work. I still have to make an appt for a colonoscopy. I will tomorrow.
Maybe they will find my head.
-
LOL!
-
Deb, I just sent you an email with a colonoscopy joke. I may have sent it to you before, I forget. Hope it makes you laugh!
