Just got back from this week's band competition.  Next weekend will be busy - football game Friday, competition Saturday, and parade Sunday.  No rest for the weary.  My DD had better shake that cold. 

We don't have online access to anything.  2 YEARS ago, when my DD was entering 9th grade, the guidance counselor said that there was a new computer system and we were going to have access to all that info - hasn't happened yet.  We are in the technological dark ages here.  Shhh, don't tell my kids, but I would have hated it if my parents had access to all my grades....  Overall, I did well, but I had my moments. 

My DS hung out with the band after they performed and had fun.  I didn't encourage him to join the band because he isn't all that hard working and it takes hard work.  My DD lives for band.  She doesn't work as hard as she could, but it means the world to her at least.  AND kids are mean to my DS and I didn't want him to have to put up with any more than he already has to.  I figured maybe he could do it in the future if kids weren't too mean to him this year.  Tonight a jerk kid was taking pictures of my DS on his cell phone - or he was pretending to.  I'm wondering if they will end up on Facebook.  I really hate these kids.  Get a life and leave my kid alone.

I visited him today and he asked me how long is it to his apartment.  I said about 20 min drive, if you walked you would never make it.  He just smiled.  His voice is a little horse today he said his throat is sore.  He still hates the place.

Did my polite shopping while I was taking my walk.

Supermarket had a sale for $1.88 a pound I got one.

I bought one of those Yankee Candle ceramic shades for the large jar candle at the fleamarket.  When I came in the house with all the bags of stuff I bought, guess which bag slipped out of my fingers.  YUP, the GD ceramic shade, it WAS so pretty.  I'm glad I only paid a dollar for it. LOL  I also bought a dome tent at a yard sale for 5 dollars, it will sleep 4 to 6 ppl. LET"S GO CAMPING!!!
