You guys are too funny - this is one reason why this thread has had so many views.
Rain is here and the wind is picking up. Our power flickered just before 9am - hope that isn't an omen for later. I'm trying to get some laundry done before we might lose power. I need more detergent though - bad planning - so I think I might have to go to the store. It's raining pretty hard right now though. The radar looks like we might have a lull before the rain moves back in. I'll have to see if I can sneak out later.
-
DH is flying in from CA at 3:30.....way too windy! He's going to freak out. He hates flying as it is! I hope you still have power.
Sheila, I broke down and did it!
-
Maybe he'll land before the big winds get there. I hope they can fly over the storm or something so he doesn't have too much turbulence.
I went outside to better secure a tarp my husband has on some top soil. When I moved the tarp, I found a little snake. It was kind of cute. The kid in me wanted to pick it up, but I thought better of it and left it alone. For all I know, it's a baby rattlesnake and I'd get bitten. I went over to another part of the tarp and moved a rock and when I looked back, the snake was gone. I should have gotten a better look at it when it was still there.
-
I love snakes! I have them in my garden, they scare the chipmunks away.
The high winds are here. My neighbors market umbrella was just in my front yard, broken to pieces! He is going to need several beers after that flight. I wish I could tell him to start having some now so he will be numb for the flight!
Sorry again, Sheila. LOL!
-
Wow - that is windy. Sorry to hear it. We are in a lull here - I thought eastern Mass might be too. Is he landing here at 3:30 or leaving CA at 3:30?
I like chipmunks - they are cute - but I wouldn't like them so much if they were in my garden.
What did you do to Sheila?
-
Hi Girls.....I exchanged my TV to a bigger one. I felt I deserved it. PEACE
Now Im really happy it was a very good price. Its not really big it is 40''
I put it together and closed the windows because the wind is very strong plus humidity,,,,its a very uncomfortable day.
But as long as we have peace and you are keeping RPOC in Mass.
chris i will email you for what RPOC stands for.
Okay Linda
Oh i dont like snakes Im terrified no matter how small or big they are,
♥
-
Hate chipmunks, they eat all my veggies and flowers. SO do the skunks and deer. I know plant rose bushes everywhere since they don't like the thorns!
DH landed at 4! YAY!! There is a tree down on the commuter rail tracks and now a fire...he's taking a very expensive taxi.
DS just got home from ortho with a lip bumper. It is not going to be a good night in this house!
It is so humid here too. I may have to put the AC on if it doesn't cool off. Too many hot flashes. The receptionist at the ortho office looked at me and said "Are you having a hot flash"? LOL!
-
Congrats on a new tv! Glad you still have peace.
Linda - has your DH's plane landed?
-
Its getting little better but the wind is strong. One of my chairs outside changed position
Its not raining here.
I hope it will be a peaceful night and you do not loose your electricity.
My girl friend who lives upstairs not the one who feeds me. She said to me to stop this Peace Word every minute. I think she is right if i annoyed you also SORRY♥
I wasn't gonna write this because I feel
but when I was putting the TV together it went on my big toe instead of the floor.....now my left feet and toe are very unhappy.
DD offered to help me but i said I can do it so she cannot know what happened to her clumsy mother. hahahahahahahahahaaaa
-
DH has landed. Boy is it windy.
PEACE PEACE PEACE PEACE PEACE PEACE PEACE PEACE PEACE....nah, it hasn't bothered me yet. I'll check with RPOC and see if he's at peace. LOL! He is a piece!
I am going to her face book page and telling her what happened to your toe right away! Just kidding but you should ask her to help you!!
I have an open house tonight at LS, I mean DS's school and I am going to MELT inside the building!
-
Doesnt need to be in Peace as long as I am.
Is the airport far from the house?
chris i hope you got my PM.
-
It's about an hour away, without traffic. Not good during rush hour. He wants (not really) to go to the open house with me (I don't want to either. LOL!). Maybe we should go to the restaurant close by and say we went!
-
You meant have some OCF?
-
It rained like crazy this afternoon, I could not go out walking on my lunch break but did on my afternoon 4:30 break.
Very windy here still warm and muggy.
I'm glad your DH got home safely, my DD is leaving Monday for Sweden. She has a lot of work to prepare, sending supplies over there and tradeshow booths. She asked a few colleagues to give her a hand but they just seem to ignore her emails, so I guess if you have to do something right you might as well do it yourself.
When she was over in Poland one of her booths did not show up, boy was she pissed and embarrassed. I told her to get the money back.
-
Imagine giving a company 24,000 dollars out of the departments budjet to have a booth designed and it not show up. That is a potential lawsuit. YOUR FIRED!!!!!
