Thinking Out Loud.....

Ahhhhhh Tamoxifen!! On OCt 27th it will be 2 years for me! Can't wait to get off of it but will stay on it because I don't want a recurrence.
I'm Italian so I know about facial hair. I've heard that about Tamox on the other threads. I also think I remember some ladies talking about the peach fuzz after chemo. I may be wrong......
I used to always get mirgraines and they stopped when I stopped taking BC pills.
-
I think my hormone levels are fluctuating so my migraines are back. Had a 7 week cycle followed by a 3 week cycle...If only these doctors knew more about our hormones.
I was hoping the facial fuzz was from chemo and would go away, but I'm a year out and it's still here. I didn't want to go to that meeting with the recruiter with that fuzz on my face. I don't really notice it unless the light hits it just right. Then it's like - OMG.
Recruiter called yesterday to touch base. I think I will call him back today and see if he's got any short term jobs I could have. Maybe that's the way to go. IF there are any.
-
Do you mind me asking how old you are Chris? I am 43 and my cycles were fine for the first year or so on Tamox. Now they are irregular. I got my period 4-7, 7-31 and am still waiting.
Short term jobs can lead to long term jobs! It's a great way to get your foot into a company and see if you like it. Best of luck!

I'm 44 - started tamox in December. I hate irregular periods. That's part of why I stayed on the pill as long as I did. I feel like a teenager now. A few years ago I started having some mid-cycle pain/tenderness. I guess it has something to do with ovulation although when I read about that pain, it doesn't sound like the pain I have. Doctor has no explanation. I've had 2 ultrasounds that showed nothing. Of course, they didn't do them when I was actually having the symptoms - duh. At least now I can use that symptom to predict my next period. LOL. I predicted the 3 week cycle - I had that pain/tenderness (don't know how to describe it, really) starting on the 3rd day of my period at the end of that 7 week cycle. So I said - well, if this pain (which lasts about a week) really has something to do with ovulation, the next period should be in about 2 more weeks. And it was. Gotta love being female.

Your smart! I can tell when I'm getting mine, I get extra bitchy! LOL!
-
I'm bitchy so much of the time it's hard to distinguish premenstrual bitchy from normal bitchy. I only realize it after the fact. LOL
School pictures today. Found out about it from another mom at the football game on Friday.
-
I know what you mean. My DH, who is awesome, will politely say to me....do you thihnk you might be getting your period soon? LOL!! Then I know it's not just the normal bitchy.
BTW, I am 44 not 43. Typo above!
I uusually find out about school pictures the morning of the picture day when they ask for a check. I have given up on having them wear nice clothes, they just wont do it.
-
Hi Girls. You made me laugh with school pictures.
People said terrible things about Menopause but i never suffered any symptoms. It was there 1 month and gone next never came back.
I was 8 months Post Menopausal when BC hit me.
Today looks a gorgeous day and I'm planning to take full advantage of it.
I'm still in peace
See you all later.
♥

Glad it was a breeze for you Sheila. I think the Tamox is wreaking havoc on us!
-
Glad you are still at peace, Sheila. It looks like a peaceful day out there. Perhaps today would be a good day to walk to the water?
I'm trying to get motivated to go for a "run." I think I will go get on the scale. That oughta motivate me.
-
I'll be walking/jogging while DS has soccer practice. He practices from 4-5:30 and there is a walking trail around the fields so it is perfect.
Hope you all are enjoying this beautiful day before more rain sets in!
-
Well, I did half a run - one loop instead of two. Too hot for me. You can get a lot of walking in during soccer practice.
My legs are really sore. Sadly, it's from doing housework! You know you are out of shape when housework makes you sore. Either that or you're not doing housework often enough.
-
I feel like I am constantly doing housework. They boys always have friends over and BOYS ARE SLOBS!!!
Glad you got a half run in. I wanted to jog but it may be to hot for that. It's getting cloudy now, which is a good thing~!
-
I should constantly do housework, but I'm too lazy so I bitch to my family that they are slobs instead. How often do you find an odd number of socks around the house? My son leaves his socks all over the house, but often they aren't in pairs.... One foot gets hot at a time?
-
I have a pool and I can't tell you how many socks, singles or pairs, boxer shorts or undies that I find around my house and I don't know whos they are!
-
Dont think if you had girls things would've been different.
there was one friend who used to come and stay here like she was living here and so messy, towels thrown here and there. At one point it was so bad i stopped fixing things for what .
And one point I was doing their wash but instead of folding I was throwing it on the shelves etc....
I believe they thought I was going crazy.
I took a walk to Costco and humidity and the bugs were terrible. I jumped in a cold shower.
Had my dinner.
Peace
-
RPOC is still in there.
Yes, I know girls are slobs too and have a whole slew of other problems. I watch my sisters and friends. YIKES~
-
Thanks and peace again and again.
Should be feeling right home after all they're cousins
hahahahahahahahahahaaaaa
-
First cousins!! LOL!!
-
Shelia, did you scatter your seeds?
Day 2 for my Dad in rehab, they gave him a little PT today, I guess he did OK. A doctor came in the listen to his lungs, he is still weasy.
Hope everyone is doing well.
-
Deb..Wasn't i suppose to do that in spring?
-
I would do it now. I did and now have little ones.
-
What happens during winter?
-
What kind of seeds?
-
protect them with a few inches of bark mulch or shredded leaves. Even straw will help
-
I was admiring some of Deb purple flowers this summer (Dont know the name)
Deb suprised me with some seeds from her garden.
♥
-
Awsome! Are they coneflowers? I love those!
-
They are the purple foxgloves. I will have some sunflower seeds pretty soon and zinnias.
-
