Thinking Out Loud.....

PEACE! - yes, I got the PM - I have a better idea of what you are talking about now.
Linda - glad your DH is home safe and sound. Hope you get to open house. Now that we have 2 kids in the same school - we had to divide and conquer. I like to hear what the teachers have to say although at this point, I feel as though there isn't much I can do for these kids anymore. Can't make 'em learn if they don't want to. They do okay - they could do better.
Deb - sorry to hear your DD's colleagues in Sweden don't help her out. My husband is 3/4 Swedish. I'll have to ask him what the problem is with those Swedes.
So, I was sitting watching tv and I heard this noise. I muted the tv and didn't hear it anymore. Wasn't sure if it was coming from the tv. Then I heard it again. Got up and went to the back porch to see if it was coming from outside. It was the marching band. DUH! My daughter is in the marching band. I guess I had it in my head that they wouldn't be outside in this weather. But it isn't raining, so they are out there. I hope they left the sousaphone inside. The wind can catch it and blow the musician across the field. I've seen it happen.
-
$24,000! Yikes! I hope she can get it back.
-
"Breast Cancer and Its Treatment Linked to Sexual Problems." Ya think?
Sorry. I have a bad attitude.
-
Deb...Its really time to SLAP SLAP those people.
chris...As I started to read i thought you were gonna say that there was a big rat outside or something.
Thank God. Its so nice to see children doing their own things.
i guess Linda went to open-house???????
-
LOL - no, not a rat. But we do have a skunk that likes to hang around. He is quiet though. My husband is going to get sprayed one of these days. He thinks that stomping his feet and yelling at it is going to scare it away. I say it's only going to scare it and make it spray him.
I don't know how those kids can march out there - that wind is whipping.
-
Hahahahahahaaa chris!
Just imagine how much tomato juice you have to buy to clean him up.
It happened to my neighbors dog one night, she bought so many TJ cans, and shampoo and hose him down poor dog didnt know what was happening.
We all sat and watched and kept her company.
-
I read something recently - don't remember where but I was able to find it online - about a solution you can mix up that will work better than tomato juice. 1 quart 3% hydrogen peroxide solution, 1/4 cup baking soda, and 1 teaspoon liquid soap. You have to use it right away or it dissipates and loses its effectiveness. And you can't bottle it because it gives off oxygen and the bottle will explode. Being careful to avoid the eyes, you wash the animal (or husband, in my case) and leave it on for a few minutes while it reacts with the sulfur compounds in the skunk spray and breaks them down. Then you rinse it off. I saved the document I found online to my favorites in case I need it. LOL

Hi Ladies,
I am back, it sucked, way to hot. No OCF!!!!!!!!!!! You had to go there!! I was thinking about a bar stool with my name on it! I was good and stayed at school.
My kids will never be in the same school. 4 years difference. We are a regional school district too, so we don't even have a middle or high school in my town. My oldest goes to a voc tech school for computer science. He's very bright.
Hope Rebakkah had fun on her trip. 24k. OUCH!
-
-
Have you melted yet? I meant from humidity.
I had to edit because i wanted the picture to be on the top.
-
It is miserable. I have my ice water right next to me on my nightstand. LOL!! I will be up using the bathroom alot tonight!
Good night all!
-
It was someone she hired their services here in the US. They were suppose to send it to Poland and it was a no show. Her last trip she went to austria, Poland then romania. Monday she is flying to Sweden, I have to ask her for her itinerary.
-
Is she bringing back any chocolate
-
I hope so!! Sounds yummy!
Good morning from a very windy and wet MA! I broke down and put the AC on. -
AC today - heat in a few days. No wonder my kids are sick! Off to the doctor with my DD in a little while. My son was sent home with chills and a headcold on Monday, but he's better now. Now my DD has some laryngitis type thing. Weirdest thing. The night before last, she seemed just fine until she went to bed and then she started coughing and coughing. She has a band competition on Saturday and then a jazz band performance on Sunday. She can't afford to be sick! I keep telling her she needs to get more sleep and eat better...maybe she will listen now?
-
Chris, I hope your kids are feeling better soon and you don't get it! It's such a hard time of year for the kids, they all have something. Usually 3-4 weeks after school starts, so does the sickness.
Hi Bonnie, where have you been hiding? We miss you. I hope you are doing okay.
Hi Foots, Meece, Deb, Sheila, and everyone else.
I am not enjoying this month so far. I hate the constant pink ribbon reminders. They are on TV, radio, magazines...everywhere. They make it look like we were lucky to get BC and it's such an happy disease. ugh.

Good Afternoon
To Be Continued......................

Good afternoon.............

OH BOY my Dad is not a happy camper. He wants to go home sooo bad he told me he was going to walk out of here and walk home. I asked him what was the matter, he says they take too long to get to me. I told him he can roll himself out in the hallway in his wheelchair and the nurses station is right next to your room, You don't have to stay in your room and watch the boob tube all day. He gets all his PT and OT in the morning. He is soo mad. LOL I just hope he doesn't try to get up out of his wheelchair on his own and fall.
-
Thinking of you Deb. I hope things improve for your dad soon.
XOXO
-

♥
-
Sandy - hope you had a great time! Have a great day tomorrow - sounds like you'll be busy.
My headache went away after one more Excedrin Migraine. I took 2 to begin with hoping to get rid of it entirely, but it kept coming back. Next time, I will take one at a time so maybe I won't end up taking as many.
Deb - I hope your dad keeps to the wheelchair and doesn't try to leave! It is frustrating - the nurses are so busy - they do take a long time to get to you and remember what you need.
Progress reports came today. I was not happy. I don't know whether to
or
.
-
Chris.....What happened?
Good Morning from blue sky NY.
-
I am going on a motorcycle ride with DH. I thought I would wear this outfit and see if it helps with the hot flashes. It's only 60 here today and very dry. Nice cool fall day. Soccer later.
Hope you are doing something fun!
-
School progress reports - like a mid-quarter report card. Not good. My kids have been lying to me - again - about whether they are keeping up with their work and getting good grades. I get to find out the truth 8 times a year. Unless I ask the teachers directly periodically - which is what I'm going to have to do. I gave them their chance - they blew it. Now I have to contact their teachers. Grrrr. I am so tired of chasing them around.
Did you go for a walk the other day Sheila? Today looks like a nice day for a walk. Or a motorcycle ride - Linda. I think I would freeze in that outfit though.
Band competition today. And DD has a cold. 2nd one this school year. She came down with a cold first day of school. Had a sinus infection Labor Day weekend. Was better for a couple weeks and now a cough and drippy nose. Hard to play trumpet when you are sick like that. And tomorrow she has a jazz performance for the accreditation people. I hope somehow she can play better for that. If it's not one thing, it's another.
Have a good day all!
-
That is my hot flash on a motorcycle ride outfit. LOL!
Chris, does your school system offer online access to the kids grades and attendance? I have that for my highschooler. It tells me if he did his homework, what he got on it, test and quiz scores and the teachers can add notes any time they want. I love the system and my son hates it. I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo thankful that they did not do that while I was in High School! LOL!
-
Oh chris...we love them but sometimes it gets very frustrating.
I had to do trips to HS. Listen counselor, teacher like it was my fault.
It was a beautiful day I did plenty of cleaning meaning throwing papers, VCR tapes, old receipts.
It feels so good. I even cleaned my BC shoe box that had articles, booklets and so much more.
I only kept few things.
I took a nice walk. Ate a very polite dinner. Watched one of the so many shows they were on DVR. Tonight I will try to finish watching them.
And that was my day. Its chilly now and we have a very mild heat which feels perfect.
♥

Sounds like a great day Sheila!
