I hate ironing but do it almost daily. Joy joy joy!
Sandy, I'm sorry to hear that the nodules are big enough to biopsy. This disease just sucks. I'm praying for you and sending all my good vibes your way. XOXO ♥
Onc went well, clear for another 4 months.

Yea Linda you are clear. No the noules didn't get big enough, apparently this is a new mass....it is on the outside and is inside of the lung. The biopsy is scheduled for tuesday, apparently is an all day thing with 4 hours in the short term procedure unit. I have to be there at 830 and get a ride home cause I can't drive. They said 3 days for the results. Then I have to go to onc and discuss treatment (if it is, which I know it is). Thanks guys for being there.
Chris, glad to see you are still around
Sey how adorable is that heart
Deb I am so glad you are back you were so missed...

My onc does the breast exam, reviews all the tests since our last visit. Does a visual exam, recommends the necessary tests as follow up. NP does the updating of my files and recent history stuff. They actually read the paper you fill out when you arrive that asks you to list any recent symptoms or problems.
-
We are here for you Sandy, HUGS.
I am still a bit stiff from the hike, I should do some stretching. Had my old loose fillings replaced with new white ones, looks better than the old silver ones. Next time I will have the others done so all you will see is white fillings which match the teeth anyhow.
Tomorrow 8:30 am appt for blood work for Thyroid and Cholesterol.
chrisct, nice 2 C U again.
-
Meece, sounds like my BS and NP do what your onc does. My onc does review everything, but after I've seen the BS and NP. Perhaps it's just the way the appointments are scheduled.
Deb, I would love to do that to my teeth....someday! Good luck tomorrow.
Hello to all my other friends!
-
((((((((Sandy)))))))))
I don't even know how many cavities I have - I've forgotten and can't count them because I can't see the white fillings. I still have one silver one and it figures it's near the front - between two top bicuspids and you can see it when I smile.
-
This was only on the bottom on the left side. Soon I will make a visit for the right side, there are just 2 teeth that need to be done. I will probably wait until next year after my cleaning.
My visits are uneventful also with the BS and onc.
-
Chemo took 4 of my teeth the first time, I would put that on my list, all new teeth along with lastik surgery an lyposuction......you are doing good with your bc deb been a long time to b clean. oamd thanks appreciate it.
-
Wow!! You guys must have beautiful teeth! I have about 3 fillings in my mouth and someday I will change them to white ones!
Has anyone taken gabapentin (Neurontin) for hot flashes? My onc gave me a RX today since I cannot sleep due to the hot flashes. She couldn;t believe how tired I looked. SHe caught me on a really bad day. Oh well. Not sure if I should take the meds or not. DOn't like to but I do need to sleep!
-
Linda.....i was on Neurontin for at least 10 years for different problems.
But none of my DR's knew why i was put on to begin with.
About 3 weeks age I have been told i can stop taking it. Its originally given for seizures but its also given as a helper to an antidepressant. I was on 300mg before bed time. maybe thats why i didnt suffer from hot flushes. how many MG are you gonna take?
Hi Bonnie...Chemo messed up my teeth so bed they were actually breaking in pieces so the top I have partial denture. And I have a feeling I will end up at the bottom too.
-
Sandy...We are all here for you and we always will.
You are stuck with this bunch of women. Do you have to travel far for your appointments?
Poor Deb...At our age we are doing well we both climbed and maybe one day when everybody's children are grown we can do the climbing together. That should be fun.
-
Hi Chris
-
At your age..............lol!!! You are funny. You guys are young!!
Yes, apparently it's a relatively new thing to give neurontin for hot flashes. They gave me 300 mg for 3 days and then if I want, I can take 600mg. It was originally for seizure and epilepsy (sp??). I just don't want to be messed up if I take it. I hate trying new things. When I tried the effexor I was sick for 3 straight days. That was miserable.
Bonnie, Is it still hot in AZ?? Must be. We are in a cool spell now. The days are beautiful, about 70 and the nights are in the 40's. Tonight might even be in the 30's! That should help my hot flashes.
-
linda...Neurontin is also prescribed to help the numbness at your fingers and toes. It must be a miracle drug.
Its been prescribed for so much higher doses. So 600 is not really high.
I didn't get any side effects at all. Its not a type of drug that you can addicted too.
Effexor is an antidepressant and most of them they tried with me I got very bad SE.
The only one I can take and helps me was Prozac and nobody wants to change it.
-
It is chilly but we are getting a very light heat at nighttime.
i hate to be cold and i hate the humidity.
Hawaii take me awaaaaay.
-
I had one of those dentists in the mid 70s. I had some scars on my teeth, not cavities, and she filled them all. I am beginning to trade my metal for the whites, too.

I am only going to do the bottem teeth, that's what shows when I laugh. Met my new NP today the other one left to go back and practice in Maine. It was a uneventful visit. Looked in my ears and eye, took my BP twice the thought it was a little high the first time. Pressed on my tummy area checked for swelling in my ankles then order blood work. I waited longer for them to call me and waiting for her in the exam room then the actual exam. Oh well, I will see her again in March for my Physical. Off to have my hair done. bbl

Bonnie, my brother is 49 and has NEVER had a cavity, and my younger sister is 42 and never has either. We were all part of a crest toothpaste study when we were children and I think somehow it made our teeth super strong! We had to brush 3 times a day at school and they provided the unlabeled crest toothpaste.
LOL about the RV in a snow storm. Gotta love New England weather! 106 is way too hot for me!
Deb, have fun at the salon!
Hi everyone!
-
I just had a color to hide the white showing through. Now gonna vacuum my car. Saturday the Boston Area gals meet at Latitue 43 in Gloucester, MA should be fun. One of these days Linda you are going to have to make it.
-
Sounds wayyyyyy more fun than soccer!! Have fun!
-
we survived the Tornado warning. it was very close to us but it just rained heavy and thunder and lightening. some areas have fallen trees power outages etc.
-
Deb -Looks like you hiked Mt. Washington in the nick of time - it snowed today - 1/2 inch plus frozen fog.
Sey - that's scary - I'm glad it's over. That wicked weather pops up so quickly. I hope the rest of the night is calm for you.
My DD has marching band practice tonight - she's not happy it's raining. All of a sudden I heard her yell something upstairs. I was about to run to the bottom of the stairs to see if she was okay when I realized it had started raining harder. She was just yelling about the rain.
-
Saw my NP today, and a short visit with Onc( she wasn't supposed to be there today, but came to talk to me anyway). NP sat with me and read the lab reports on the CT and US I had recently. Stable. That's good. We talked about my questions for 35-45 minutes. She said with my history, if she could, she'd pronouce me cured. She also said that since I have no active LE and I am so far out, that it should be okay to use my left arm for the blood draw. My veins are totally shot in my right. I told the nurse what she had said when she came to draw, and she wouldn't do it. She was able to get three vials but it sure went slowly. No more Dr. visits until Dec when I see my GP, Feb for mammo, March for Onc, and I don't need a FU CT until August! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

Yay Meece!!! So good to hear!
Sheila, I heard about the Tornado warnings today and was thinking of you. Glad to hear you are safe!!
Hi Foots, Sandy, Bonnie, Deb, Chris. Chris, I was just at my sons open house and that rains storm hit the school. It was sooooooo loud!! Only lasted a short time but boy did it rain!
-
At one point I heard some thunder - so maybe they had indoor practice today. They do practice in the rain though. I hope the wild weather is gone - sounds like NYC is a mess - power outages - train lines not running because there are trees on the tracks.
-
Congrats Meece really happy for you!!!
Hi everybody, Macy's was dead and we are having a great sale.....no work until sunday for a couple of hours doing markdowns.....it is almost the weekend.....how is everybody?
