Thinking Out Loud.....

Today is a new day.
Raining and chilly.
I feel rested after 11 hours sleep.
Good Morning to all my friends.
♥
-
I want 11 hours of sleep!
((((((((((((SANDY))))))))))))))
In between soccer games, have another one at 4. Not raining here...........yet!
-
Oh man - I get tired just reading about you running around to all the soccer games. My DD used to be involved in sports year-round. I'm kind of glad she doesn't do as much anymore. I'm burnt out. Now all I really have to run around to are marching band competitions in the fall and the occasional track meet in the spring. I don't go to all of her away - things anymore, bad mother that I am.
-
I hardly think you are a bad mother. It's amazing how we all feel that way! My youngest plays soccer year round in a Saturday league in the fall. My oldest plays on Sundays in a different league, non competitive, although they are competitive. My oldest plays for fun, my youngest plays to win!
Band takes up a lot of time too. I have many friends whose kids play and they spend a lot of time doing band.
-
My DD plays for fun. I wish she had a little more desire to play to win - LOL. She doesn't do any work on her own to improve her performance - very frustrating. She'll go to practice or rehearsal and work hard, but at home - nothing. Kinda bizarre, actually. I just hope something clicks with her soon before she no longer has opportunities to participate in these types of activities.
-
Sounds like my son. Maybe they could date each other. They will both have no desire to do anything. LOL!
-
Hi Mothers
The more I'm reading the more I'm remembering those years when DD's were around that age.
Again this will pass and when you look back something that was upsetting you then almost becomes like a comedy show. I'm still here to remember them...........
tonight I'm having a big meal. Steak, sweet potato and a big bowl of salad with everything my avocado is ready and calling my name.
Hello Sandy♥
Hello Bonnie♥
Hello Meece♥
Hello Foots♥
Deb ...I hope you are having good time. I forgot when you were coming back.
-
Your dinner sounds great. I will be by shortly. I will stop at Chris and pick up some brownies.
We are having 'football' food. We taped the Patriots game so we could watch it after our soccer games. I made wedge salads, chicken fingers, cocnut shrimp and chili. Man food (except the shrimp and salad....guess who they are for!)
Hi everyone!
-
coconut shrimp
chili
Did you use ground Turkey?
Bonnie it is cute what your grandson did. I don't have any grandchildren.
DD just got engaged 2 weeks ago.
The other DD is free right now.
Linda probably Chris in CT lives closer to me right Chris?
I'm from Lower Westchester County About half an hour North of NY City.
-
I'm sure she lives closer to you. My MIL lives in Fairfield and owns a plumbing supply sore in Bridgeport. I will travel anywhere for brownies.
Sheila, you will be a grandma before you know it. If you ever need kids, you can borrow mine.
Boonie, what a cute story! What wonderful grandchild you have! I read it and said....Sh!t, I need to have my boys call my parents! I am not getting daughter of the year this year!
I did not use ground turkey, I used the real thing since I used garden tomatoes and peppers to make the sauce. I usually use turkey and will next time. I hate chili! I LOVE shrimp!!
-
OMG my dinner was delicous
-
-
I'm not getting daughter of the year either - I didn't have my kids call their grandparents...
I want to post a pic, but it looks like I have to insert a URL? I can't just take a jpg from my computer?
-
chris....Maybe i dont know what Im talking about but.....Do you want to post a real picture or a googled image?
jpg only works for my avatar.
Im
when it comes to post pictures except from FB to here then Im fine. I copy it from there and paste it here.
I think i confused you more......
-
I want to post a real pic. I didn't really want to put it on the internet anywhere (except for here I guess). Copy and paste works from Facebook, huh. Hmmm. I'll have to think about it. I wonder why it works from Facebook...
-
Deb where are you coming back and ya know I didn't know it was grandparents day but my kids don't really have any...I on the othe hand am a grandparent to 6 and of course I got no call or nothing....

Boys play baseball and bowling which started yesterday. I just want the craziness to stop, thank goodness for you guys listening to me.
Sey glad you had a wonderful dinner.....Foots where are u?
-
I'm so sorry you are having so much trouble with cars! Cars drive me crazy. We have a car that is 10 years old - feel like we are replacing it part by part. I hope your week calms down for you after Wednesday.
So - I put one of the pics I wanted to post as my avatar. Could I look any fatter?! It was pretty chilly, so I was wearing 2 sweatshirts and 2 t-shirts. I felt like the Michelin man.
That was my lame Tamoxi-Flash outfit. I wanted to rename myself Tamoxi-Clash. I was wearing a purple survivor t-shirt under a maroon Relay for Life sweatshirt under a red Flash t-shirt. LOL
-
Flash, you look great!! I don't know why but sometimes when I cut and paste pics from FB and other sites, it works. Then I try to do it again and I cannot. Makes no sense so I have my pics on FB and anyone who is a friend of mine can see them there.
Sandy, another bust crazy week for you. HUGS
Deb should be decending the White Mountains soon. I bet it was very chilly up there at night! Hope you and Rebekkah had fun!
Football food is the only way we can get our oldest son, who is NOT interested in sports, to watch football!
GOOD MORNING!
-
I have a mask on my face. The Flash has some sort of mask in the pictures I googled. I skipped the yellow antenna thingies. Our Relay used to be in June. Last year it was held in late September and was cold. Now it's being held a little earlier in September where it could go either way. I'm not sure which is better - June when everything is crazy with the school year and spring sports wrapping up - or September when school is just getting underway. Before June could be pretty chilly at night.
My son isn't interested in sports or food. He pretty much likes only breaded chicken fingers - and only certain ones which, invariably, aren't the ones I've bought.
I remember reading in a parenting magazine once when a mother was asked by her children, "What's for supper?" her response was, "Yuck, I hate that." So that's what I say to my kids now. What are we having for supper? Yuck, I hate that.

Geesh, gone just a few days and had to play catch-up Well, I made it to the top of Mt. Washington. Weather got cloudy about half way up and very cold. Took us 7 hrs. I almost didn't think I was going to make it, my brain was saying go my legs were saying no. Almost missed the Cog Train but I kept praying to God to delay it, because the last ride down was at 4 and we got to the top at 4:10 and it was still there, THANK YOU GOD!♥ I was drenched on the inside from sweat and outside from the heavy mist and my hat had ice on it. When we got to the The Lake in the Clouds you could hardly see the building and did not bother taking a picture of the Lake cause we had to book it to the top. BUT I DID IT! I'm sticking to small mountains from now on this body just ain't what it use to be. I saw one girl hiking up going real fast smoking on a butt. I will post pictures on FB when I get the rest from my DD.
-
YAY for you Deb!!!
-
My legs ache from all that excercise you did, Deb. Thanks for doing it though, I think I might have burned a colorie from reading about it.
-
LOL!!! Me too!
-
I wore my pink Breast Cancer Survivor cap thinking of all my sistahs.
-
I feel like a swim today, who will do that for me?
-
I finished post most of my pics on FB. My DD will give me more.
-
Too cold to swim here in MA.
-
Welcome Back Deb. I was LOL about the missing Cog train.
I just looked at the pictures in FB they are gorgeous. You know what when Christine took me to that trail in Hawaii she kept telling me Mom you are in a good shape you are doing fine.... I was fine but I thought once we reached the top there was an easier and shorter way to come down.
NOOOOO we had to walk down the same way we climbed. Do you know how many miles was it/
Thanks for wearing the pink BCS cap.♥
Hi everybody I did food shopping and bought few unmentionable things. Im happy
Its pouring and was thundering before. I made home just in time.
