LOL - life is food - I definitely live to eat not eat to live! I should eat with you Seyla - you eat so healthy.
Yay! Sandy has a car! Enjoy football!
My daughter plays trumpet. I was glad when she picked it herself - I knew she could do a lot with it - and she is - she is in symphonic band, jazz band, and marching band. They practice in the rain as long as there is no lightning. The other night someone saw lightning and they all ran inside.
Scout campout this weekend. My son's birthday is coming up and he's been counting down. He says, "Guess what's in x# of days?" And we tease him and play dumb. We're so mean.
I suppose I should go out and get some new clothes. I've been living in a limited wardrobe. I packed on the pounds a few years ago and I didn't want to stay this fat so I didn't buy any more clothes than I had to. I've lost a few pounds - but not nearly enough. So I guess I'm going to have to buy some. Once I buy new clothes, I'm sure the pounds will start coming off - just so I have to buy even more clothes! If I can get a job, I'll be working to buy the clothes I need to work!
Marching band this morning - and a parent meeting about our band home show next weekend.

I'm trying to have slimfast shakes for breakfast and lunch. I want to lose my muffin top. WHy do we all gain weight after dx?
Bonnie, the donut shops actually sell coffee and thats why they are so popular. I'm so happy that I HATE coffe because see people spend tons of money on it. I'll have my diet pepsi, thank you!
Chris, my sons and DH TRY to play the guitar. They have taken beginner lessons and that's it. Now they learn from you tube. They each have their own guitar and they aren't too good! The kids that are in band, like your daughter are sooooo good since they spend so much time practicing. I think it it so good for kids!
This is my first scout free year in 10 years!! I love scouts but it is a lot of work. I was the den leader for both my boys dens up until dx. Then I became an assistance. I spend my 40th birthday at the Higgins Armory with 200 cubscouts from all over MA. It was a sleep over. I got my period at 2 in the morning and they had nothing there to help me. There were 2 other ladies there and they had nothing. The rest were all men. My DH still dabbles in scouts since our neighbors son does it. His dad diesn't do anything with him so my DH does. My DH grew up with a dead beat dad so he cannot stand to watch this kid do nothing.
Have fun today Deb!! Have a lobsta roll for me!
Hi everyone!!

Back to report that we all had a marvelous time at the Latitude 43 in Gloucester the food was out of this world and the weather was fabulous. We ate outside and I did not need to wear a sweater. I can't believe it's over, wonderful wonderful women it's like we already met, everyone felt so comfortable with each other.
-
Awesome Deb!!
I juts got back from soccer. We lost (again) but that's not what's important.

Do you believe it?! I got in the car to pick my daughter up from her friend's house and the engine light came on! And I have that interview on Monday. Grrrrrr - cars.
-
Oh no!!! I hope it's nothing and you make it to your interview!!
-
-
Smile, silly, cars can be fixed!!
-
LOL - that's the picture. Only mine said only "Check." I hate pictures. I don't speak hierogyphics. I saw the light and was like, "What is that? Check oil? Check engine? What the heck is that shape?" I just assumed it was the engine.
Last Thanksgiving Eve, when I was on my way to my second to last rads tx, the brakes on our other car started acting funny. I was afraid of what might happen. And I was pi$$ed because when my husband had brought it to have it checked a few months earlier they said something about getting new brakes, but he didn't do it. I thought it was because he didn't have to do it quite yet. I guess he was waiting for them to fail while his wife was going to cancer tx. AND I was in a hurry to get home because I needed to get the turkey in the oven because my parents were coming over for Thanksgiving dinner that day. I called him on my cell to warn him that I might not make it home and he might have to come get me and that he'd better call the muffler and brake place down the street and try to get the car in there that day. Which he did. We aren't having good luck with these cars lately. And they seem to like to have problems when I need them for something important.
-
I know what you mean! This is my car, bought it in 2003. In lthe last year I have had to get brakes and rotors, ty rods, new tires, emergency brake and cable, and other things I don't remember! I was going to ditch the car and get a new one......then I remembered my 15 year old would be driving soon! SO.....I fixed my old car and will use it for a couple more years. That way when he is learning, he is learning on my OLD car! He's not very happy about that but...who cares! It never ends.
-
Yeah - that was our plan for this car - it was to become my daughter's car. I'm not so sure I want her driving it if it is going to continue to fall apart like this! But at the rate she's going, she won't be getting her license any time soon. She never wants to go driving.
Thanks for listening to me kvetch. That's why I don't usually post. All I ever have to talk about is stuff like this that happens all the time....
So are the fates trying to tell me something? Am I not supposed to try to get a job? Hmmmm.
-
You are! Have faith! And come here and b!tch any time, it helps me to know others are in my shoes!
Good night my friends!

Good night all, Sleep well
