Hey Sandy....glad you have the 1st appointment.
Deb....I think the problem is with your computer. Sorry mine is showing and blinking.
Linda how are you in this cool evening?
IM so frustrated because I cant set up my TV ans I don't know what Im doing wrong or not doing.
I got their technical support #. iwill call them tomorrow.
-
That is so frustrating! I hope they are able to help you today. I have no idea how to do those things except to plug them in. My kids are genuises at that stuff.
Good morning!
-
Good morning....sorry about the tv you will figure it out. Told son to sell the car, can't afford to get it fixed no matter how much it cost, live on my SSD, the boys SSI and the child support, only make 7.25 at Macy's and my rent is 965.00, can't afford anything, appreciate him doing it, just can't really deal with all this stress. The boys are really being horrible, not getting enough sleep, going to bed at 1 and getting up at 630, so they are really miserable, honestly glad I am going to work today til 9 so I don't have to deal with them, isn't that horrible but them calling me all the names they do and yelling at me about how lazy and poor I am not feeling it now...sorry for the vent....have a good day ladies...
Sandy
PS Meece and Foots where are you?
-
Good Morning....Sandy I hear you just think that one day they will become adults and all these teenager nonsense will change. Is there a reason why they are staying up late and be miserable? you are doing as best as you can. I think its time to visit a beach or something♥
And after driving myself almost to a crisis by chance I found out that i was using the remote that came with it and not my digital box remote. i knew it was something very stupid
Peek Peek Deb.

Kids stay up so late now. I make my son go to bed at 10:45 but I know he is up till all hours on his cell phone texting people.
Sandy, I'm sorry to hear that you are dealing with soooooo much. Vent away any time!
So, does the TV work now??
I am now a red head. I bought a box of semi perm hair dye and it turned my hair red. LOL! I will be washing it again in a few more minutes. I'm going to keep washing it until it lightens. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it??
-
Some beautiful place in Polynesia. OOOOOOOOHH♥
-
Is that where you are today?
-
YEs for the next 2 weeks.
-
I'm on my way. I'll be the one with the flaming red hair!
-
I read it with my eyes half closed and forgot to answer you. Was it the wrong color in the box ?
You need to take a picture. I cant wait to see your hair.
Im turning the computer off now because I have to go to my spa treatment after that my personal chef will cook something fishy, Maybe a nice lobster
-
Lobster sounds gooooooooooddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi ladies - I'm not sure I'm responsible for all 41,000 views, but I will admit some of them are mine, lurker that I am. I feel like such a voyeur. I check in periodically to see how you all are doing. I don't post because I'm boring so I just keep my mouth (fingers?) shut. My husband probably wishes I'd keep my mouth shut with him - lol.
A few posts back, someone mentioned hot flashes which is making me want to run this by you guys - I had been having a lot of hot flashes a month or so ago, and one evening when I was out for my "run" I chuckled to myself that if my daughter did put together a team for the Relay for Life and called it the Superheroes, that I would go as the Flash - short for Tamoxi-Flash. Is that funny or am I being lame? She did put together a team (Relay is tomorrow!) I bought a Flash t-shirt (with the white circle and the lightening bolt) and I was going to write Tamoxi-Flash on it - hoping to get some chuckles from some fellow BC survivors, but then I thought maybe it wasn't funny. My DD says I should wear a "Hi, my name is Tamoxi-Flash" sticker rather than write on the shirt. I don't know when I will wear that shirt as opposed to the purple survivor shirt they will give me. I think I'm going to feel weird doing the survivor lap. I didn't go last year - felt self-conscious in my do-rag. The Boy Scouts camped out and helped out and my son kept calling me asking me to come. I felt bad, but just couldn't do it. He made a luminary for me. He brought it home for me and I still have it. I get choked up thinking about it.
-
GO FOR IT, TAMOXIFLASH!! That is perfect! I'm sure you will get a lot of laughs along the way. You son and daughter are wonderful!! So are you! I would love to do a Relay for LIfe but I still cry when I see the comercials. I am a wimp! I have so much respect for those who do these things. You should be very proud of yourself!!
Boring????????????? Have your read our deep discussions on AG??? Welcome to our club!!
Please stop by more often and say hello!
-
chrisct....The only viewer who has courage to post.
Thank You. Thank You.
You are funny with SOH.
Welcome to our everything goes discussions, sometimes we get silly but who cares.
I hope you stay. Do you like Asparagus? LOL
AG is the abbreviation we use and when you see VD we are talking about vitamin D not venereal disease.
Its nice when family can joke with us.
I don't get hot flushes with Femara.!!!!!!!!
Yes like Linda said Stop by whenever you are in the mood.

Hi Ladies.
-
I get hot flashes with Tamoxifen ALL THE TIME so I can relate to Flash. Plus, my DH is an avid comic book collector, so I and familiar with The Flash. Out HOT and HUMID summer made the hot flashes even worse!
-
I only know the Flash from the Big Bang Theory. And Green Lantern - didn't remember him either until I watched Big Bang Theory. LOVE that show. I'm not sure how well dressed up we are going to be. My DD has a cool Batman cape - that has a bat outline on the back that lights up and we picked up a cool Batman mask yesterday. The cape is really her brother's. She has a Superman cape her friend will borrow. We picked up a red cape for her friend who will be Wonder Woman, but I don't know what else she will wear for her costume. Another girl will be Spiderman. Another will be the Hulk - a couple girls were surmising that she might have those Hulk hands or something - the ones that make noise when you punch with them - that would be funny. And one girl said she would be Aquaman - my DD has a big green stuffed fish - like a pillow - that she will lend her friend.
The girl who said she would be Green Lantern originally said that she would be Captain Underpants. My DD asked her if she was going to dress up and she thought better of it. Would have been funny though. My DD was thinking maybe we could have Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy (from Spongebob) which would have been funny - but I thought we should stick to real Superheroes.
My friend is going to do it with us - she is out at Party City right now looking for things for her costume - she is thinking of being Storm. She got some white spray for her hair - and is looking for a cape - maybe a white wig instead of the spray.
I hope all these costumes come together - should be fun.
Making brownies and cookies right now - hoping to sell them to raise money at the relay. We signed up late so haven't done as much fundraising as I would have liked. But technically we have until March to raise money, so maybe we can continue to raise money after the relay.
-
You guys are really getting into it. That is so nice! Have a BLAST!!! Let us know how your day went.
-
Hey Linda...chrisct is making brownies and we are all on the east Coast. I smell it Do you?
-
I do!! I love brownies!!! She lives in between us. I think we should meet at her place!
-
Lol - uh oh - I'd better make some more brownies then... Oatmeal cookies in the oven now. Not made from scratch. I am domestically inept. And to answer the question about whether I like AG, you will be horrified to know that I have really eaten only the canned kind. I'm not really a vegetable person - I eat the AG with mashed potatoes... if you can call what I eat AG. Who knows what would happen if I tried to saute it the way you do. I had to Google how to spell saute - one e or two and I don't know how to type the accent - that's how much of a cook I'm not!
-
AG in a can!! Never had it. Someday I will try in....in the dead of winter when I can't get fresh AG. Cookies sound good too!
-
You probably won't like canned AG - it is soft and probably soggy compared to what you are used to. My DD has strategically positioned herself in the middle of the kitchen floor with her poster she is making with prices for the goodies we're going to try to sell.
-
I have my last AG in the fridge. Should I have it for snack/
i think this weekends cheating will be chocolate related.
chris i can cook but baking I was never good at.
I never ate can AG.
-
I love to cook and bake. Lots and los of food!! LOL!! It's the Italian in me!
How old are your kids chris?
-
I think the problem is with my computer also. I am having issues with emails.
-
Sorry - was baking - DD 16 and DS almost 14. I hear you about the kids staying up late. Teenagers are nocturnal. That's why some school systems were thinking about switching school start times and making the elementary school kids start earlier and the high school kids start later. Not sure any of them did it though. HS kids need to get to their after school jobs and sports... My DD came home from the first day of school with half a voice. Then later I found out she was actually coming down with something the weekend before - AND I let her sleep over her friend's house 2 nights before the first day of school because her friend's boyfriend had just broken up with her and I remember how upsetting that was so I wanted my DD to be there for her friend so I let her go. Then she came down with a cold - ugh. Hopefully she won't relapse after staying up all or most of the night tomorrow night - camping in the cold... Saturday night is supposed to be 60 - too bad that isn't tomorrow's forecast. 53 for tomorrow. Brrrr.
I'm 1/4 Italian - but I didn't get the cooking gene.
Did the red in your hair fade at all? I bet it looks nice. My hair is mostly brown (and now some gray - blech), but I have some red highlights - or at least I used to - haven't noticed any lately. So when I ordered a couple wigs in preparation for my hair falling out, I ordered reddish brown. They had a lot of red in them. I'm not sure I look good with that color after all. My kids really liked the wigs, but I decided to return them. The hair was way too thick - I didn't think it looked natural. Plus, I'm such a spaz, I pictured myself knocking the thing off my head or walking around with it crooked all the time. And I thought they would be hot and itchy, so I went with do-rags and cotton turbans.
-
I didnt buy any wigs. I used the cotton whatevers even when I went to bed. I didnt want to scare the girls or myself. I looked like a ghost at the beginning a white pale face and no hair.
So nobody knows how I really looked. My had was always cold thou lol
-
My last chemo was in September and I kept wearing the cotton turbans until March - I was freezing! And I was always pulling the turban down over my ears to cover them more I was always so cold. I used to have long hair and needed every bit of it to keep warm. My hair covers my ears now, so I think I'll do better this winter. But it still isn't as long as I want it to be.
I didn't want to scare myself being bald either - so I didn't shave my head - I kept the hair that didn't fall out. I looked really stupid, but I really didn't want to be totally bald if I didn't have to be. I had the most hair in the back, so I actually still had a small ponytail that I would tie at the top of the back of my head and tuck the end under my do-rag. At first the ponytail was so long it was hard to keep tucked in, so I cut it in half. I thought that if I decided to wear a baseball hat instead of the do-rag, I could put the ponytail out the back and maybe look a little more normal. Never did it though. And as time went on, more and more of my hair fell out until my ponytail was tiny. I finally cut the ponytail all the way off when my hair started coming back in. Mental, huh?
-
Well, I'll be up possibly all night Friday night, so I'd better get to sleep. Good night.
