Thanks for the update. I pulled into the grocery store parking lot today and parked next to a car with Alaska plates. Who would I think of ?? And I'm not talking about Palin.

Literally, tears sprung to my eyes when I read this update. What absolutely terrific news.
Prayers said for Deb and family for their Christmas miracle.

Neesie - I'm with you - we need an update.

I have an update on wonderful Deb.
She is off the bad chemo and on a great new one that has shown amazing results with TNBC.
She had a bit of a rough start with it, mostly because they didn't premedicate her because they didn't know how she would react- and as we know- they don't give us the pre-meds until they know what to premedicate.
But she is feeling better every day.
She will hopefully get that port out and have her chemo given through a lumbar puncture since she only needs to be infused every two weeks. This will give Deb her life back, because that port has caused her so many problems.
She still needs our prayers and good thoughts- but John said the best three words to me I could hear.....
"She's Still Deb!"
Love,
g

What a great start to 2009! Go DEB!
-
Fantastic to hear Deb, that you are still DEB~
Keeping you close in thoughts, heart and prayer. Keep on keeping on dear friend!
-
You are always close in our thoughts, Deb. Love and warm hugs!
-
Missing you here Deb! Lots of love to you and your family.
-
The fact that Deb seemed to be doing somewhat better is making this even harder to accept. Deb, you have us all reeling. None of us were prepared for you leaving us. Thank you for all the comfort you gave so many of us over the years and all the laughs while you held our hands. You were in one in a million, my dear, who touched so many.
-
I just heard about this... Deb, ... I have no words. You gave us hope and you kept your sense of humor, and you helped so many others through this.
It is JUST SO UNFAIR!! Oh, I am so sad!!!! This is SUCH a horrible disease!! I WISH THEY WOULD JUST FIND A CURE!!!!

My heart goes out to your family, Deb, with prayers and loving concern, as you will be missed tremendously. I always enjoyed reading your upbeat, and inspiring posts, and loved your avatar. I know you will be taking care of your family from a better place, and will be their guardian angel, looking after them and surrounding them with love. This breaks my heart.
-
Dearest Deb~~~reading this on your Heavenly Laptop......we miss you! You will forever have a place in the hearts of a hundred women who never really met you, but loved you and admired your spunk.

Sorry it has taken me so long to join in to send my condolences, couldn't find the words. Still can't but I'll try. I know how it has affected our little community here; John I can't even to begin to imagine the loss that you are feeling. I hope it brings some comfort in seeing all the lives that your dearest Deb has touched. I'm praying for you and your family.
Deb's positive attitude and fun ways inspired me to have fun with chemo and the chemo IV Pole dance was invented and became a tradition on my home group thread. Here's to you Deb:
