John - what a way to start the day, but with a smile on my face
reading the latest update and good news on Deb. John, you too give such visuals in your writing, I can just see Deb while talking to you. She continues to be in my prayers for continued recovery. Thank you for all the updates. Hugs from Denver, Karen

Dear John and Deb, It is so good of you to keep us all informed. Deb is so loved here and we worry about her. The first thing I do when I visit this site is check on Deb, so I am really thankful you are taking the time to keep us informed. I will say extra prayers for Deb and you and the family. Deb's humor and perseverance has been such an inspiration to us all. Deb is definitely a fighter and if anyone can do it, Deb will be the one leading the way for the rest of us!God Bless! All,
Thanks for all the Great Vibes!
Deb had Chemo yesterday and we spoke to Dr. Kelly. He would have liked to seen more progress (Duh wouldn't we all!) but says the fact that she is progressing is very good. He also did not feel this would be a permanent thing. Today, she seems to be feeling good for the day after chemo, so we went for our walk. She did great but I decided it was time to head back as I was getting cold! (It dropped below 0 last night & was about 8 degrees at walk time (1:30pm). Time to get out my winter boots & wear gloves.
I also got a copy of deb's blood work numbers. She is due for a week off next week but I wanted to make sure things were not getting too low. I have not kept up on these things as much as I probably should since when I scanned the numbers a curious number jumped out at me. I never knew that they actually rated "BUN"(s?). This begs the question. How do you improve your "BUN"(s?)/"CREAT"(ive?) ratio??????????? Is this a dance move? Oh well, I'll just keep walking.......as Deb alway says, John's Ignorance is Bliss.
Also, Deb's appetite came back the last couple of days. She's been eating very well. This afternoon, she had just finished her lunch. A sandwich, milk, her favorite chips, fresh veggies, and some orange slices....Well rounded I thought. I then gave her some more chocolate milk & went into the other room to change the laundry. I came back a minute later & she had one chipmunk cheek. A week or so ago she was not swallowing without being told so I naturally told her to swallow. She refused! So I told her to open her mouth & there was the plastic lid to the milk jug. I paniced & got her to spit it out. Naturally, I gave her more to eat! All in all though, I think it's a great sign!
Blessings to all & Thanks again for the Prayers & Well Wishes!
John

OMGosh! John it all sounds great, but please, tell me she was joking with you with the milk cap? Goodness! I'd have panicked also! Deb, behave!
So very glad you updated tonight as we all love and pray for her and the updates help to point out prayers in the right directions. Like, LORD, please keep milk caps away from debs reach!
Keep up the good work and john....don't worry about the Bunn's, they'll get creative once again!

Oh, what a week off will do! I'll just bet dear Deb has twice the sass after a week without treatments.
More power to you, too. You are having to learn so much, so fast in order to look after this woman as she deserves. Your love is awesome.

Dear John, (LOL---I have NEVER actually wriiten a "dear john" letter. Anyway........ I can see that wit and "sass" seems to run in your family. Reading your posts remind me of Deb! Go figure! It sounds like progress is being made, and Thank God! you noticed the milk cap in Deb's mouth. Thank you for the update. You and Deb and the kids are in my prayers.
