    I remember the first 'drink' I ever ordered from a bar, was a Singapore Sling. Do you have the ingrediants, Mum? Don't even know what it includes, but it's very sweet in my memory.

    Today's our 17th wedding anniversary and my 4th cancerversary (for dx #1) so it's really a day to celebrate!!! So glad that the bar's open to start our awesome weekend.

    Let's get this party rolling

    We're on the road to a Plein Air (outdoor) Painting festival. Can't wait to get there!! They are to have 60 artists at work before your very eyes. My choice. He's such a good sport!!!!

    Okay cake not so healthy how about these mussels I wipped up cooked the french style with shallots ,cellery ,garlic and white wine.

    I'm 3 pages back, so don't know what I might have missed ... can't read too much in one night!!!  Faith I love that you always start a party somewhere!!!  I'll take mussels, and margueritas, and wine ... yum, it must be Friday!!

    Wishing all my beachies the bestest of weekends and the happiest of anniversaries, and cancerversaries. 

    Had my 6 month with my surgeon on Wed ... funny how we know we're ok, but hearing her say it just made me feel that much better :)

    Finally I've got a selection of flip-flops for our newbie splashers.

    OnMyOwn and imbell, please select the flip that you'd prefer and then I hope that I can track down the matching flop somehow. LOL

    It is our unique culture here to celebrate each and every milestone, 'versary, birthday et. al. and when we go for a while without a whole lot of party rationale we invent some sort of event to throw open the doors.

    Today has been such a great day for me. The Arts paint-a-thon was so very inspirational. I think we may go back, as it is unfolding all weekend. I can't wait to download the pictures. I love watching artists at work. Each and every single artist I met was so communicative and conversational. Like having a tutorial at every easel.

    ***Oh, and one woman recognized my LE sleeve and asked if I was a BC survivor. She herself is in her third BC dx........ needless to say, the two of us had a lengthy heart-to-heart. She's arrived to painting as a second career-calling. We inspired each other -- as I shared my 'work' with her.

    Dear Faith, Are those your grandchildren, dare I say that, because I have seen your picture and yes you look fantastic and they could be your own babies, but anyway they are beautiful and I am so jealous, because I can not wait to be a grandma!!!!!
