I still keep my mom,s dresses for memory. My mom died at 49 yrs. in 1973 from Cancer, when I was hardly 13 yrs. Whatever she possesed I got them now. Everytime when I recal her I used to look at her things and feel happy. Mother is so precious that we can,t have two mothers and can,t call mom to any other person. I get emotional now when I think about her.

Hi Faith,
The date is tentatively the 3rd week of January -- organized around chemo dates and week least likely to feel yucky (read constipated). My ex in San Francisco has expressed an interest in going to Cuba again. I won't know until Jan. He's quite spontaneous -- once gave me 4 days notice on spending new years in Australia. Those were the days...
If he bails on me, I'll try to coerce a friend from Boston to head south with me. If that doesn't work, it might be The Ritz in the Caymans all by myself. Or somewhere else...
In any case, I'll have pics to post!

I am so glad that you won't let anyone stop you from your trip. I am sure you'd have a bunch of offers of traveling companions from here at the beach.
-
Raj, it is nice you have such wonderful memories of your Mother.
You are right, I try to keep as many memories alive for mine...

Barbe, those babies are precious!!!
Faith, I hope the transition to your southern home is as smooth as it can possibly be. Just keep repeating to yourself all the reasons it was, and still is, a good idea. Between online forums and Facebook, you're never far from any of us, and with your travel schedule some lucky devil always seems to be able to steal you for at least a short visit. I'm so glad I was a recent lucky devil

It must be WOWZer Wednesday. Where's Coonie when we need her?
LOVE the beach scenes, but how can you not LOVELOVELOVE those precious bundles of joy. Barbe thanks sooooooooooooooo much for sharing them with us. What treasures to be sure!!!!
Our second born Denver boy's name is Finn & I am forever saying Finn-again, begin-again. To think that you have a real, live Fynnigin. Joy, Joy, JOY!!! With number three around the corner. I'd forgotten that is a boy-in-the-making, too! Amazing.
Welcome, Bren. I can't remember if this is your first visit, but it's certainly the first in a very long time. With the treasured pictures around here I know you'll enjoy every splash at our shore.
I must go get some flip-flops. (It had been brought to my attention that we'd been short several welcome pair.....) My internet seems a little on-again, off-again, so I'd better post & then search up some flip-zers for you. I wonder if there are 'seasonal' pairs??

Having to use someone else's photo to show where I want to be right now..... Warm and relaxing!
-
Wowzers, indeed.
In the time it takes me to find flip flops, there are all sorts of baby admirers!
We should have more grand-children to love!!
Bren, That's as big as I can get the holiday flips. Hopefully you have dainty little feet. Or perhaps once they get to your beach, they'll be sized accordingly.
-
Here's some more beach babies.
To inspire our KK to kick up her heels on the beach, sooooooooon!!!
-
The plural version turned to a red x before I could even post it.
We'll see how long this lives on as inspiration.
