LIFE'S A BEACH!

meece, good one on SV.. we have to be quick here, i think i need more coffee... my computer is FULL of "save as" this morning.. thanks to all you lovely ladies, and your pictures.. im having so much fun.. lifes' getting to me. my friends are dropping like flies, from death, as this wkends memorial, or by choice, as in, the last GF i had in real life had her baby baptized yesterday. after the church, we met at her house for a celebation. i was SO looking forward to it.. ok, so flashback on yrs. we've spent on her patio smoking.. in the last few months, we've done lunch only..
but, i sit outside, so she can smoke. then, i can too, 2nd hand.. yes, i know its bad, but i still miss it.
so, yesterday, there she is, on the patio, with (i didn't know at the time ) her NEW BFF.. and the Biatch ( the new one ) says, well, we snuck off, cause we know you don't smoke, anymore, and anyway.. you can't keep up since chemo (physically)
well, we left right after that. i refuse to embarrass myself over hurtful people. my OLD BFF hasn't called, so i guess it was all acceptable to her..
the lesson here, i guess she was just suppossed to "be there" for tx.. i don't understand, and am hurt. we're friends 20 yrs.. I got traded in for a newer model!! who would've thought turning 60 would have these ramifications, eh?
i didn't think i needed yet another lesson; apparently the good Lord trusts me a whole lot more than i wish he did... sigh.......3jays

-
This little guy is taking a peek at the sculptures...
-
Jay- so very sorry for all the crap... love the sand face-smoosh, I may need to borrow that and the bus for the next few weeks!
Lisa - picture is amazing..feel like I can almost touch the water, and feel the sand on my feet (between toes- even better)
-
3jays I am so sorry you had to go through that with your former bff. Definitely her loss, but no less painful for you right now. Hugs sweetie.
-

-
Welcome to the new Beachettes. These are beach shots taken from our room balcony.

Faith love the photo of your gettogether. Wish I could of been there.I have only had a chance to meet Barbe and Dream from this thread.Got a kick out of the beach snowman.Outside right now there is snow here in Toronto. No wonder DH and I were not in a hurry to leave Mexico.
-
Muma, we only spent the day in Matzatlan so never saw a sunset there..also never were up that high either...or saw animals in the restaurants, guess we hit the wrong part of town, only kidding
-
Is this Matzatlan?? I can't remember, must be the chemobrain..(I use that excuse for everything now)
-
gee, why are the pix so blurry? They aren't really
-
Put me near water of any kind and I'm a happy camper. If it's frozen I will skate on it. So, some of you gals are really lucky! If its wet I'll put on our flip-flops and stomp my feet in it and if it comes down in flakes, make a snowman!
Love the pics' of Mexico!
-
Don't recognise those photos but then again when my DH drives he doesn't slow down unless he sees a bird.
When we went into town I forgot to bring my camera.I still use the chemobrain excuse as well.
-
-
Samsue welcome to the beach. My husband always jokes that I must of been a fish in a previous life because I love the water so much.
-
Muma, so when are you coming to San Diego to see our birds?
-
So far have only been to Los Angeles in CA.Next time we get to CA would like to visit San Diego and San Francisco. Must research the CA birds that he is missing from his collection.
-

-
Mum, I'll bet he doesn't have a CA condor!
-
And here is an oh oh moment from our beach.
-
These are the dunes along our beach.
-
-
-
The scenery is gorgeous, Chabba. The car going out to sea...not so much.
-
Beachie Babes.
I'm always so amazed when I can get anything to work, technologically speaking.
I was just able to upload some video-footage shot last week in NY. It's a two minute clip of our opening number. What I really want you to see is the "quilt" backdrop, created by the art teacher and approx 330 K & PreK students..... this is what was about 20 feet long.
Pretty amazing. What is possible.
The quilt is in response to my quilt illustrations in my first picture book:

Hopefully you can click and watch. It's just over two minutes long.
Happy face.
-
That was wonderful. It's great to see the little ones so excited with such an important message!!!
All Right, Faithie!!!
