Sorry I didn't see your landmark, Lisa. Congrats!!! Every day is precious when you have battled the beast. Every Birthday is also one to celebrate even more. From one sister who knows how that feels, to another, Happy Belated Birthday!!!

3jays, no one has a more twisted sense of humor than me, so bring it on girl!!! now i won't feel like i'm the only one wondering if i'm offending someone, or saying something that is just totally off the wall
I've always thought you and I were kindred spirits 'cause of the jays, now I know!

Spent my first day here walking the beach.Waves are huge and undertow strong so no snorkling until it calms down. Can't sleep tonight. Here is a shot of mexico sunset we took last year.
-
that is beautiful. it looks like a painting. That is a complement, btw.
-
Gorgeous as usual Mum!!! Looks like HD.....is he working in HD now???? Can't wait to see more from Mexico this year.
-
Muma, that is one beautiful seascape..I love it
-
Wow. That truly is a masterpiece of a sunset.
Meeeeeecie!!! Are ya still dancin' today? I would think so.
Beachie friends, we are all packed up and head out around dawn tomorrow for da biggest of my crazy adventures to date, or at least the wildest ride to date. We start for DC and spend the night w DD2&hubby and then it's off to the races & into the BIG apple.
Three schools over the remaining 4 days. Upper east Manhatten, then Long Island and then 14th Street on Friday. Serious fun or serious nuts.... who actually drives in da big city?????
This is such a big thrill. Send travel mercies in our direction. Hopefully we'll have connectivity here & there -- from time to time.
Everybody take good care of the beach. Can't wait to see more pics of Mexico as the week unfolds.

Still dancing, and sending prayers for travelers mercies for you, Faithie. Do be careful! Make sure you have pleny of fun though.
-
Have a great trip Faith! DH's band played at Jimmy B's beach bar and here was the sunset.
-
Meece! you are like an angel. Be careful while you take the step while dancing. 1 month before, I had an accident while dancing with my little grandughter hurting my toes. I am still having problem as I can,t wear close shoes. During winter, I can,t wear sandles. I care for you that is why I just say to be careful. Please don,t take it otherwise. I haven,t meet any one in this group in real life but I feel that I have already getting closer and closer to each and everyone. Great Job ! thanx once again to the group.
-
faith, travel safely, and enjoy more!! RAJ, i enjoy your posts so much. im very happy to see you more and more on the threads.. keep on gardening..its' good for the soul.... 3jays

Thanks beachies for the travel mercy blessings.
We have departed our daughter's in DC and traveled thru Maryland, then Delaware bits of NJ and Phillie is on the horizon and it's not yet 9 a.m. LOL
The most amazing/bizarre bit of the morning, while running into the rest stop in Delaware, the flags are flying at half-mast today. On the day we're driving into NYC for me to share my 9-11 tribute picture book/song, the flags are flying at half-mast. Mind numbing synchronisity.

Country mice headed into the BIG apple. Wow.
-
When I was in High School we lived 35 miles north of NYC, my Dad had to go there every day....
but I loved going into the city this time of year...will you see them lighting the Christmas Tree
in Rockefeller Center??
-
Oh Faith - had some computer problems and not able to get msg until now...I'll pm my phone # and maybe we can catch up, esp if you will be on Rt 80, or 287.

Beachies. Just wanted you to know that our NY/NYC week has been brilliant in every possible detail. Yesterday was off the charts. Will be 'blogging' about it for weeks. The art teacher in the building created a simply BRILLIANT response to my first book.
A gazillion pictures to follow. A highlight for sure.
Tomorrow is another school visit. Tonight we are staying in the director's two story loft in Little Italy that is festooned for the holidays beyond a movie set.
Pinching myself while smiling ear-to-ear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Elaine, I can't believe we missed one another on our way out here.

Hi everyone, I just found your thread and felt a need to put my feet in the water after a long day at the office.... I missed the sunset here but really enjoyed all of yours. The pictures are fantastic.
Will be going to a friends surprise B'day party at the beach tomorrow. Hope it warms up a bit.... it's been a cold day here and need to dig out the winter jacket. Burrrr.

WELCOME samsue!!!!!
So glad that you found our virtual beach & it sounds like you may have genuine access to the real deal? The beach that is?
Several of our regulars have on-going access & the rest of us live along in a virtual way, contributing web sites or our own 'occasional' views as possible periodically.
We are headed OUT of NYC and on to new adventures around the next horizon. Just plunked thru to see what great spots have popped up.
3Jays, you're getting to be a pro..... I'm so happy for you to be able to post pics!
And COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOniest of all the Coonies. I'm soooooooooo delighted to see your post. We miss you -- when you go on hiatus and have to go to work & crazy things like that.
Must go find our samsue some flipflops!!
Thanks for the sunset, Lisa. Hope your fog lifted.
-
[I have a dingy thing about polka dots....... hope they make ya smile]
-
