I wish I could Barbe, swamped with work, and I truly feel like $hit - I don't know how you do it with your constant pain, last night and so far today is awful, I really can not stand it, nothing is helping it seems, this sucks.

Jane...so good to see you here! I know it's tough with your mom, they are so precious to us...92...so incredible. Give her a kiss for me..I wish my mom was here for me to kiss...I still miss her, and it's been 5 1/2 yrs.
Shirlanne.....Will our kids, grown or not..ever listen to us? haha...NOT...good to see you post as well!
Cheryl...only one more month to go!! Oh...I remember being in your shoes. Bald..hairless everywhere (actually nice..lol) and waiting for one more tx. When it came close to my last tx...I told my g/f...I am not going! She said...excuse me...yes you are!! You made it through 7 others..you can do this!! My last 4 cycles were not A/C, but Taxotere. So, I don't really remember the s/e lasting weeks after. I do remember though...that I felt better by the end of Sept. My last tx was in Aug. So..maybe it did take that long. I started to get peach fuzz in Sept. too. My lashes and eyebrows were the last to go, and the last to come back in. By christmas...I took off the wig, got a (small) haircut and color...and had a very short do! If you go back...I think I may have posted a pic of how it looked 4 months after the last tx. Congrats on the weight loss!! I hope you can work out a good plan with the nutritionist.
Oh..Cathi...I hope the repair guy gets that AC working soon! Humidity, I hate...yuck. I love the heat..but prefer the dry heat of the west.
Back to work. Got all my pics cropped yesterday...just need to scrap them in the album. working on the end of 2007 now. Not much longer!!!!!!!!!!!
xoxo

What has happened to the forums, the active pages jumps to 5 hours old and this topic isn't even on the first page of the just diagnosed forum. I had to find this on my fav page and it was at the bottom of that page.
Just wondering.

the forums have been up and down a couple times today - don't know myself????

Hello Sisters xxx
(((Cathi))) I have been thinking of you today and hoping your A/C is getting fixed...and you are feeling a little better .
Well I just been to work to do a stock take and the weekly paperwork. I am back to work tomorrow. YUK. I dont feel rested , what with the withdrawals from ma drugs ... I am feeling better in that respect, and quite horrified at the way I just went downhill, I think I am in shock! Anyway I have a raging raging kidney infection... with headache and thirst. Do any of you recommend anything .... I am in the wars of late.
I hope you are all enjoying your day... it is 11pm here in the UK , and very hot..I am just watching a programme on TV called real life crime. It is on every night this week and documents young people thta are killed through knife/gun crime. Its very sad, the UK is getting worse in this respect and younger people are commiting a lot of these crimes. Have you noticed this in America.
Sometimes I feel very sad living in the UK , because it is a lil unruly and not like it used to be. I love being English but when things like this happen I feel ashamed.
Ok I will quit the waffle , I love you all Sisters , and I am so glad I have reconnected with this site again, i went through a stage where I couldnt bare visiting, so its a big hurdle and emotion somewhere in my head that I have gotten over.
Lots of love .... there is so much warmth here on this thread... I feel like we have all been friends forever xxx
Much Love xxx

OOOOOH WE HAVE REACHED PAGE 400 LOL X
-
Sue, that kind of crime has been going on for thousands of years, it is just more publicized now! Not to worry, we don't think poorly of your country, so don't be ashamed!
-
Hi Sue - I'm in London. It is humid tonight.
England has certainly changed over the years and I share much of your misgivings. London is a world city now. it isn't english any more.
However, here is the thing : before I was DX, I had a tough 9 months anyway. And then there is the recession etc etc. And I realised that 90% of what is on the telly, and most of what is on radio 4 a.m. prog is bloody negative and depressing. So I just don't watch grimn stuff or listen to the glums on the radio. I still read the Times and the Telegraph and my usual economic papers, and am up to speed on what is important in my world. And you know what, I feel absolutely liberated by it. I really like re-runs of Poldark and the like, and why not just watch stuff that is fun, or you like the costumes or whatever. Get DVDs. If English telly has gone to hell in a handcart, it doesn't mean we have to watch all 57 channels of garbage does it!! Try it for a month anyway - you might be surprised how much better you feel, I was because I'm usually a news hound.. You aren't going to stop yobs nehaving like total jerks os why watch progs about it? Say No to misery - now! Really sorry you're in the wars. gentle hugs.
Also, you and cathie should check out the house work thread coz I had some real luck on that score today. Hey Cathie - my guy might fix your aircon!!
nighty night girls -

-
Well as usual it has been a few days since I posted and you have all been very busy.
All I say is thank you for taking care of our Sue & Mel & Jane. Welcome to all the newbies - you came to the right place and most importantly - I LOVE YOU ALL!!!
Sue - only a month to go before we meet!!! Are you as excited as I am?

Sue, Sorry about the kidney infection...Good to see you back......I have found that cranberry juice is good for that....It helps flush the kidneys......
Livesstrong so good to see you here....... I stopped coming for a while too and then I just lurked for a bit and now I post almost daily......
I love the housework thread!...It keeps me from getting ANYthing done!.....LOL.....
All of you have a great night and sleep well......I love all of you sisters!!!......
-
Sue, I also feel bad for you with the kidney infection. So painful, I know! I am waiting for a second ultrasound to confirm a rather large stone. The urologist took a wait-and-see attitude which is really frustrating as my first of many infections was a year ago! I am on daily pain meds to handle the pain enough to continue to work, but I'm getting pretty beaten down by it all. I try to keep my sense of humour in all this, but it's wearing thin...
So hugs to you and me! {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{ Sue & me }}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Sue don't think badly of UK, crime is everywhere, and bad crime/murder at that, but as Barbe said it is so much more public now. Heck we know when the queen farts in just a matter of seconds over here in the USA thanks to the media - LOL.
I visit the housework thread, but those girls put me to shame. Hey I haven't seenn Linda (Marzak) on here today - is she ok - where are you.
Sue - water - water- water - do you drink enough?????? Cranberry juice is also good, but don't let it get to bad you might then need an antibiotic, and then you will need to eat a yougurt everyday - well you should anyway - very good for the WHO-WHO- (LOL)
Oh yeah almost forgot - A/C is fixed - freon was low, so that means we have a leak and need to have it fixed, but at least I am cool and hopefully can sleep tonight, on my way for a pill and to bed I hope.
XOXOXOXOXOX

Hi Ladies,
I'm here. Thanks for checking Cathi. Just a real busy day. As school winds down there are lot's of shows, field days, trips etc. The sun came out today too so I tried to trim the bushes. DH is taking tomorrow off so we can spend a day together before the little ones are out for the summer. We are going to go out on the Harley and enjoy the day. It's supposed to be sunny tomorrow and then rain for the next 4 days. ANother weekend....rain!! My son turns 14 on Sunday so we are having a cookout/pool party for him and his friends. It's only supposed to be in the low 60's and rain all day. We need some serious drying out!
AE, can't wait to see yoru pics from your vaca with Sue. That's so exciting!
Hello to everyone else. I've got some catching up to do!
-
Good Morning,
How's everyone doing? Feeling better, I hope!
-
Well, there was actually a point during the night where I realized that at that exact instant in time, I was actually pain free! Should have woken up DH and told him so he could share the moment with me.
-
You should have! I'm glad you felt better for an instant. Not good enough. You need to get that Mick out of you!!
-
Gee Barbe I think we may have shared the same "moment in time" boy I am getting paid back big time for my fun in the sun.
Well Linda enjoy your last day of freedom - LOL. Have lots of fun with DH & The Harley. Ride long and hard ( either one you choose - OOPS
)
-
Wrong thread Cathi! ehhehehehe (Mojo one is a page or two back)

-
You guys made my morning!! Thanks for the laugh!! Have fun Linda...it's nice your hubby is taking time on your last "free day" to spend time with you.
Barbe...more pain free moments for you ...and Cathi too!
Dreary rainy day here....glad I am working. Also glad I got the yard mowed yesterday after work!

Stopping by for a quick Good Morning - Have a great day everyone.
Mel - hope you are feeling better.
-
You too Val!! Miss you around here!
-
good morning all. Virginia and Sue- I love Poldark! watched it growing up. Never met anyone who knew of, never mind liked it! Every now and then I get the DVDs out and watch it. Brings back lovely memories of curling up on chairs in the keeping room after Sunday dinner, fire in the the fireplace and watching Poldark. My sister and I just loved it.
Hope everyone is feeling good today and having more pain-free moments!!!
