Karen and Friends, Thanks for showing me how to get pictures on, I think if we didn't have these four legged kids, we wouldn't feel as good. Even when I had my chemo they knew it and were very careful with me. Hope to learn alot more about speaking up to Cancer Dr too. You run a very caring and thoughtful line. Everyone is always thinking of the other. I love the way you all make it easier to stay in the battle and win. God bless all of you, Debbie

Judie your car story reminds me of Alexcis (granddaughter) the first thing she deos if she is here before Ed gets home is run out when he arrives and says "papa what kind of car did you bring home?" She was proably 3 the first time we took her up the beach in a convertible, all strapped in her car seat and just loving every minute, she loves sunglasses too, so she was just "gleaming away" I love memories like that. But her favorite thing I think is when he brings a big loaded van home, she likes to place with her dolls and stuff in them, a REALLY big doll house for her.
Until you girls started speaking about hands I didn't realizw how well I can recall my moms, she had strong slender hands and Oh her nails, her pride and joy, she grew them so perfect and long, she was a Union Leader in NY for the Seamstresses so she would break one ocassionally and have to start over, but I remember holding her hands as the liver CA became worse and how I could feel the strength slipping away, she hated her finger tips though, being a bad diabetic, they were so sore and red from all the finger pricks for testing daily.

Sue....please go see the doctor!! Think of it this way...if you need an antibiotic...once you start it...YOU WILL FEEL BETTER!! So...JUST GO!!! haha...seriously...it's probably an infection. You are getting sick often, because you never slow down!!!
Thanks to all of you for the fun memory lane trips...I really enjoyed reading them. I had visions of my mothers' hands while reading your memories.
Mel..thanks for the v-day breakfast...and all of your sweet words. The wind the other night was unreal!!
You are right...I think Dennis did show what he was all about..and honestly...I think it was more about HIM than anything. Cause like Karen said...even though I said..don't call anymore...if he CARED at all...he would have sent me a text or email to see how the biopsy came back. Well....once again HIS LOSS!!!
Funny...he has put his profile back up on Match.com...with an additional picture...haha...so is he trying to convince himself that he has time for a relationship??? Or maybe that was an excuse to get rid of me....but I don't care anymore. I put my profile up on plentyoffish.com...I heard about it through Marin (on bco) anyhow..it's free!! Mel....check it out! I have had several emails..but one in particular stood out. His name is Jim and he is 7 years younger than me...we talked on the phone today 2 times...once for well over an hour!! We are going on a date later this week, either Wed. or Thurs. Meeting for the 1st time. He said on the phone today...well...after talking with you...I would say the worst scenario with us would be that we would end up really good friends!! Hey..if that's the worst....I am all there. Seems really, really nice...good looking..at least I think so...and financially stable. The only thing is he has a 9 yr old son. Didn't really want to date anyone with young kids...but hey...you never know....so I am pretty excited!!
About my scrapbooking...I have done it for years. I did Danni and Alise's 18yrs for their grad. gifts. It was 2 full albums. I am pretty artistic...so once I get started it comes easy. I just do it in cronilogical order. I use paper, stickers...etc....they are very special and something they will always have. Allot of work though.
Speaking of...I am heading off to work for about an hour or so.
xoxo

OK Sue , is it time to run for the hills...
OK Sue , after you have your run with your son , go to sleep , wake up , have tea , and call the doc!!!! Everytime we have aches and pains , you know we all get scared. Thats why we are here to tell you , its OK , you just need an antibiotic. You got some kind of bug. It needs some meds. So please , call the doc , let him prescribe some meds , and you can start feeling better. So don't make me swim across the pond and take you there myself! OK , as soon as I finish my snack , I'm coming...
Seriously Sue , get to the docs! Love ya , Mel
-
Hi Sue, I agree, There is alot going around and I have had a cold in my neck before, As I was fighting something else. Please, take care there is so much new things going around you don't want. You might check your b12 too. I know I am getting the shots at the Cancer center to help me fight. My prays are with you. Take care,Debbie
-
Just a quick note, Sue please do get your arse to the doctor. I am fighting a sinus infection and treating it for now with over the counter stuff but will probably end up going to the doctor.
Mel, that picture you put up looks like Penelope did when we first got her int 2002. She is now becoming an old lady at 8 yrs old and turning white headed in all of the red. To answer your question about the half day working, it was just for last week (hopefully) and it is because of the economy. The shipping department was shut down last week to allow the orders to build up and let them work more this week. The financial status for the past quarter will be released this week for the main corportation I work for and we will know then what will happen after that.
Cathi, How romantic of your hubby to bring home the convertible caddy and take you for a drive along the coast. My hubby brought me a lovely card, 20 reasons why I love you, and a mug he got at the truck stop I (heart) Intercourse, PA. He just can't resist giving me a somewhat gag gift even after the touching card. I of course refused to bring it to the office.
I really need to get back to work, plenty of orders to enter this morning.

Debbie and Sue, I to have started taking Folbic which has folate and b12 in it. I was feeling really worn down and just couldn't get over things and felt really sick all of the time. I had boddy aches and just felt crappy. I too was scared to go to the doctor but I wne and I was a little anemic and somehow my folate and b12 levels were very low - this is a little unusual. The medicine made me feel more entergetic and then I stopped it because I didn't have the money to get it. I got it again last Friday, slept most of Sunday but today I can feel it kicking in. I also stated levaquin, antibiotic because I was afraid that I may have had an infection again. Sometimes being a nurse and calling your doctor and giving the signs and symptoms they just called something in for me. Soooo, Sue long story short, please get to the doctor right now or at least call him and see what his says.
Mel, You are right, my little peaches - puppy- and Henry - my beta fish- wach have their own personalities and both are very jealous. I would have never guessed a fish would be jealous but I think he is because when she is in the kitchen, which is Henry's domain, he keeps his back to me but when she is outside and I talk to him or rub the side of the fish tank, he does his little fin thing ans stares at me. Peaches is ours from now on.
Peaches and the grandkids are even jealous of each other. They spent the night, all five of the children, and I had to take them one at a time and let them lay down in my bed with me and when that one would go to sleep, I would put them in their bed and then the next one would come until all five were asleep - took about three hours. Each one wanted some personal time and reading time with grandmom. Peaches waited until everything was done then she jumped in the bed and growled at Donnie when he tried to take her off the bed. I told him to give her a few minutes then she would get down and she did. LOL - Children and furbabies are the greatest.
Cathi, I;m glad you are feeling better. Lisa you hang in there, there is someone special for everyone, your time is coming - just don't settle.
Judy, You are so precious and I'm glad to see you writing more. Mel, I love the pictures of your baby and how di you ever find my picture, I didn't think anyone could see me snacking.LOL
AE, Debbie, Karen, Ulla and everyone - HELLO.
Leesa

Shelia thats funny about the mug from Intercoarse PA, we have a shot glass from there, we also have shot glasses from Blue Ball, Paradise, Bird In Hand & Virginville, these are all close to where Ed grew up in Lebanon PA, I did not believe him when he was telling me the names before our first trip together up there - I found it pretty amazing all these little towns are right in Amish Country. I am not sure if this is accurate, but he said lots of the names actually came from the Amish, his mom was a mononite so I guess he would know.
Sue ------------- I hope you have seen the DR today, the Flu can cause your entire body to ache you know. Open wide say "AWE"

Checking in on our Sue.....so...Sue..what did the doc tell you????
-
Hi sisters! WOW all these pages, I feel like I have not been here for a month! WOW, I read for an hour.
Now, SUE GO TO DOCS!!!! I think you did, We need to know what is happening.
It is a baaad cold (there is an especially virulent cold bug, all over, that is still a cold but MUCH WORSE!) I bet this is what you have. And you can take your choice over the "fall", working too hard, or whatever you want for the arm and shoulder. The glands swell up over anything.
Now, I am selling books like mad on Amazon, so I have been missing. I LOVE ALL the wonderful pix. You gals are really something.
Love you all, Shirlann
-
I'm baaaackkk!! Wow! I really hated being without my laptop!
Sue, did you call the doctor?? I know how scary it can be, but I'm sure it's just a bad bug. Listen to us, please. You probably need to be on antibiotics.
Lisa, I'm so excited about your date. He sounds really nice. Like you said, in a worst case scenario, you may end up with a new friend.
Cathi, it sounds like you had a really nice Valentine's Day. Rhuel and I don't buy gifts for one another. We just buy a little something for the kids. We did exchange cards--both of them funny. That's just the type of relationship we have--very non-gushy.
Mel, some of the pictures you post are so funny!!!!!! That's probably exactly how I'd look in a bathing suit, if I had the guts to put one on. LOL!!!!!!!!!!
Hugs to everyone-----Jane, Shirlann, Judie, Debbie, Sheila, AE and UB, Jule, Leesa, Cheryl, Ulla (in case you're still reading), and anyone I may have missed.

Sue, my collarbone has been hurting too. Not constantly, but on and off. Strange, huh?
-
Suzy-Q , Where r uuuuuuuuuuuuuu? Are you "cocooning" away from it all? Come on , you can't cocoon from us. We don't mean to yell DOCTOR , but we just want you to feel better. And from here , it sure sounds like you need some good ole "auntie biotic". What ever you decided , I hope you are feeling better sweet Sue. xxxx
Ladies , please keep my sister in your prayers. She went for a pap and had a breast exam. The doc couldn't even feel the "suspisous lump'' from six months ago. BUT she found one in the other breast! She had cysts in that breast removed years ago. It just maybe another cyst. Its under her nipple , (where mine was) , but what is really freaky , she is going for a mammo and ultra sound the same day I am going for my mammo! Feb. 27th. So prayers would be very much appreciated. Thanks girls...
Lisa! I am so excited for you!!!!!! You go girl. I think you should date about three different guys! Mix it up , have some fun!lol Please come tell us all the details!
Hows lil' Oliver doing? Bless his little heart. I hope he is better.Give him lots of hugs and kisses from his Aunt Melly...xxxx
Karen , so glad to see you back! Hey , on photobucket , someone post a pic , and there name was Rhuel! Thats only the second time I have seen that name. Thought of your hubby.
Hows your mom doing? I hope she is doing well.
I think the weather has us all feeling aches and pains. Can't wait for spring! xxxx
Judie , how are you doing? I can't remember your last post. Hope you are doing good. Think of you often.xxxx
Shirlann , Leesa , Cheryl , Debbie , Cathi , Jane , Jule , Fumi , Sheila , Nancy , Wren , Md mouse , Ulla , AE and UB , Kaloni , and shoot , I know I am forgetting someone , God bless you all and have a great evening.xxxxx Melody

I'll be praying for your sis, Mel. It must be going around, because my mom had a mammo last week, and a lump they've been watching has grown, so she has to go for an ultrasound on Friday. Geez! What is going on???
G'night everyone.
Hugs,
Karen

Praying for you and Sis Mel, this stuff stinks.
We don't do Valentine gifts either Karen, just to costly, the Caddy ride, breakfast and spending the day together was the best gift anyway. And as luck would have it , one of our neighbors (who is a car freak) saw the Caddy and was over about 100 times Saturday evening and Sunday, test drove it a few times, and YEAH he bought it, it was a great deal for Ed. Its a Cadillac Allante that I guess they only made for 3 years or so and they were like $60K+ when they first came out, of coarse he didn't sell it for near that much, but it was a sweet blessing at a VERY slow time. I told Ed he owes me big time, it would not have sold had our neighbor not seen how HOT I looked in it -LOL.
Wishing everyone a HAPPY DAY!!
XOXOXOXOXOXO -Cathi

Mel, I will be praying for you and your sister, as well as Karen's mom.
Got some bad news yesterday. My great aunt Alice, who was somewhat of an unusual person when I was growing up, passed away yesterday morning. She had a fall several years ago and broke her hip, and 2 or 3 weeks ago had a stroke and refused the therapy at the nursing home she was at after her fall. My aunt, who was her power of Attorney, told the doctor not to put in a feeding tube, she (Alice) had pulled one out after her hip surgery and was doing fine without it. Alice would have been 91 in June. Alice never married and only had her nieces and nephew to take care of her, Mom said that the will, which was written in 1960 named my brother and sister as her benefactors, but my aunt is going to divide her estate up with all the great nieces and nephews (14 of us). I don't know how much we will be getting, but remember the old story of I got money from my reculsive aunt/uncle.

Sheila, sorry about your great aunt. 91..wow..i could only wish. Well, in these tough times..it will be nice to get some money from your aunt's estate.

Oliver seems to be doing a tiny bit betterl. His balance is still off. We are still giving him the antibiotic. He went to the groomers on Sat..and he looks so handsome. Since his hair is shorter than usual..I got him a little red/blue sweater..he looks so darn cute. I need to upload some pics of Matthew's 4th b'day and my hair and Oliver...just keep forgetting to do it.

Sue,
Do you have the urgent care places there? Please go and get checked, you'll feel better.
Take care!
Dee -
Sue go to the DR - NOW!!!!! When I had all that stuff going on with me, I had 2 glands/nodes enlarge in my neck, the first on popped out, it really did freak me out, but the next day the second one, so although I was still worried I knew that it was most likely just the cold/infection running through me, it took a couple weeks -they went down and away. You know I too experience alot of shoulder pain/discomfort from time to time ever since BC, a few things, do you carry a bag/purse on that shoulder? (STOP Doing that). I have also noticed that if it is cold or damp my shoulder aches/pains alot, you name it I have had it, PET Scan, MRI, CT, all good, Dr's just attribute it to residual effects of surgery, rads, etc. It is no fun being in pain for sure.
-
I just don't know ... I will go the docs...but I am going to the laked district tmw to see my dad... an then all next week am working. I have the first week off in March so I will go then.. or maybe nxt Thurs...

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORYYYYYYY Sisters so sorry xxx
