All right, that does it! Fumi, I told EVERYBODY on this site to get a Shingles vaccine! You did not mind well! Into the corner with you! Dang it, anyone who is well enough, get that Shingles vaccine, you can get Shingles over and over. It is HORRIBLE. But poor Fumi, it is just such a time as this that it strikes, you are sad, and your immune system knows it.
AE, good luck honey. I am thinking of you.
Ulla, what the heck? Who cares about a dang old test? You are getting well and are even off on another challenge! This is a huge victory for you, pass or fail, we are all so proud of you. Lovely girl.
Sue bug, going on vacation! WHOOPEE! ME too, just not much of one. Going to Niagara Falls for our 55th Wedding Anniversay on Thursday, just 4 days, it is frickin' freezin' in Buffalo! But the airfare was cheap. hahahahaha
Cathi, honey, you sound better, I am glad. I hated those ports. You feel like a freak and they hurt, too.
So I have been "missing", we bought a new Prius, and it took all our weekend, we are too old for the "car dealer" rigamarole. But we sure love it. So far, 66 miles a gallon, of course, that was only 4 miles! hahahahah
Hugs and kisses to you all, Shirlann

Oh, Fumi! You do not deserve this. Shingles is one of the things that can happen when your immune system is weak, and with chemo combined with the stress of grief, you were a prime target. Shingles is the PITS!!! If I were there, I'd fix you some nourishing broth, apply the cream to your rash, clean the house, and drive you anywhere. Heck, I'm going to do it anyway long distance.
You are not alone. Never. This odd mixture of fantastic women surrounds you. Never forget that. The same goes for the rest of you!
-
And Sue!!! I just caught up. I'm so sorry. My Agnes was sick last month and I was in a panic. These beings are our children. I'll cry along with you luv. Feel my arms around you?
I love you dear girl,
Judie

Just checking in, Yesterday's trip to Atlanta was fun, we were about 60 miles from the house and John realized that his wallet wasn't in his pocket and we had to turn back to get it. fortunately I had planned ahead and left very early in the morning (he was half asleep when he went to the car and I made sure he had his blue folder with the paperwork but not his wallet) so we had a couple of hours lee-way before the last time available to pick up his truck.
Ulla, I am praying that you passed that exam, I know how stressfull exams can be.
Sue, My heart does go out to you and your zippy. I know how much he comforted you during the past year.
I need to get back to work, When you miss a day, it is harder the next day to catch up. Huggs to all who I missed.

Dear Sisters
I went to the hospital to say goodbye to Zippy ...when he heard my voice I put my head on his chest and he purred deeply ... he clenched my finger with his cold paw and he rolled on his bak to have his tummy rubbed. He even tried to flirt with me by putting his paw behind his ear but couldnt manage to lick it... he stood up but couldnt ...he was blind he was brain damaged..he was put to sleep in my arms an hour later.
I drove him 40 miles to a pet cemtery to have him cremated I pick the ashes up in a few days ... of which I will take with me when we meet again.
Thankyou Zippy for sharing 12 years of deep love and tenderness .... I will miss you forever xxx

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Oh, how this thread is mixed with sorry and joy today!
Sue, I'm so, so sorry for your loss of Zippy. We haven't had a pet in ages because I got tired of dealing with the loss. It was hard enough when a human relative or friend died. I didn't want to keep feeling grief every year. But that's my loss. Your's is the kind I've been avoiding, and I know it cuts deeply. I hope you have some nice pictures of him and can enjoy them in a little while. Let the tears come. Pets deserve to be grieved over.
Ulla, your news really brightened my day! Congratulations on passing that horrendous test. On to the course and a bright future!
Judie, that little trick with the mirror is fantastic!
-
Yipee!!! Ulla, I knew that you would pass that exam, they just tried to make it more stressful but we have gone through BC we can beat anything.
Sue, I am so sorry about zippy. I felt the same when we had to put our Snoopy down because he had blockages in his abdomonen and liver. We had a funeral service in the back yard and my brother carved in a stone Snoopy's name for his headstone. When we moved from Statesville, we brought the stone with us and it is a border stone in my mother's flower garden.

Ulla, I never doubted for a moment that you would pass that test. You are a winner!!!

Sue, I cried when I read about poor Zippy. I know how important he was to you. Losing a pet is so devastating. I truly believe the story of the Rainbow Bridge that Judie posted. Zippy will be waiting for you when it's your time to go (which won't be for a very, VERY long time). I'm so sorry for your loss.
Love and hugs,
Karen

Nancy, the "mirror" was actually a crystal ball. I tried to superimose it over the faces, but it was too much work and I had already spent hours on it. Maybe later.
-
Sue - I am so sorry about your beloved Zippy - I read you post at work and cried right along with you. I am so glad you got to spend some time with him - I know he knew you were with him and I'm sure that brought him some peace.
Remember this?
Hugs my friend,
AE

Hi sisters!
I am at work, and tried to catch up with all of your posts.
Ulla...I was reading your agony over the unfairness of your tests, and the whole time, I am thinking to myself...she will pass, she is so smart..she will pass. Then as I continued to read...I WAS OVERJOYED TO HEAR YOUR HAPPY NEWS!! CONGRATULATIONS SISTER..YOU DID IT!! I HAD EVERY CONFIDENCE IN YOU!! YEAH...ULLA!!!
Sue, baby, I am so sorry about your loss. I know what a good friend and comfort good ole Zippy was to you. I am glad you got to be with him. What caused this? Was zippy old? I am glad you are going away with your boys for vacation...you need it now more than every. (((((((Sue)))))))
Jane...glad to have you back....my life has been busy, with work, family, traveling and yes...still with Dennis. Things there are wonderful. I love having him in my life. He is very sweet to me, very caring. I don't think I told you ladies, since I have been MIA. My niece is a resident doctor of dermatology. Well during their residency, they need to practice botox and restiline and juvederm on patients. So...her mom, and sisterinlaw and me, went to Detroit as "victims"!! I got botox around my eyes and brows....I can really see the differenc!! I love it! Next I will get the restiline around my mouth...you know..those ( ) nagging lines on the side of your mouth!! It's all free...and we can keep it up as long as she is a resident, which is 3 yrs!! woohoo!!
I had a b'day party for my nephew's twins...Michael and Sophia..they turned 3! They are soo adorable. When Olivia downloads the pics, I will post some.
AE...I am so sorry you have to have another darn biopsy!! Damn cancer..the gift that keeps on giving!! I go for my doc visits this week and next. No mammo until January though.
Fumi...I feel for you. I know people who have had shingles...very painfull. I hope you find relief soon. You have been through so much!
Karen, Mel, Shirlann, Nancy...congrats on your dad's 90th!!, Cathi, Judie, Wren...and anyone else, I may have missed...lots of love and good wishes for all.
Back to work!!
xoxo
Lisa
