Hey Girls -well 11 days post surgery and I had the drains out today -the Left side went pretty well just a bit of discomfort and tugging. Then for some reason OMG the R side, started with the stiches being dried in then she pulled them out "WTF" I am sure some of you have seen 40yr old virgin where he got his chest waxed and used every curse word in the book - that was me and I even took pain meds before we left. Thank goodness it was short lived pain - but I tell yeah what I had natural child birth x2 and this was worse. Anyway that step is over, the BS still won't let me shower until nurse comes in tomorrow to check the sites and bandages the L side seems to be oozing a bit of yucky junk.
Silly me I thought once the drains were out I would be just 100% "able to leap small buildings in a single bound" - nope, kinda disappointing just want to be healed, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel so I;ll keep on keeping on.
Hope everyone has a good night. XOXOXOXOXOXOXO

Way to use your connections Lisa! I don't know if I need the botox yet. As my mom says the fat fills out the wrinkles for her.

Oh Sue , I'm so very , very sorry that Zippy has passed. I am still crying. He was such a sweetheart. I'll always remember how he loved licking those yogurt lids. He was so precious. God bless you Sue as you grieve for the loss of one of your best friends. I hope he and my "honeygirl" and possum are all playing tiger in the grass in Gods animal sanctuary he has for our pets. Hugs sweet sister.

OK, I had my pre-op appointment today and it went very well. I am nervous and excited but I will bet getting nipples and areolas on November 10th! I will also have some revisions to the left side, but I am just happy to find out that it can all be done as one surgery and not two more.
Now I just have to get my house cleaned up and be ready to sit around and do all the after care for about three weeks. I can't believe I've finally made it this far!!! Yay!!!
-
Fumi , so sorry to hear about the shingles. I had them too. Mine didn't itch as bad as they hurt. I too had it on my stomach , around to my back. And it made my back hurt really bad. I took my meds and was better after about two weeks. Take care. Sorry you feel so alone. I too , like Judie , wish I could come help you. Judie and I would cook and clean and drive you where ever you needed to go. And we would make you laugh too! I'm sorry your heart is still hurting. You are in my prayers Fumi. I will pray for so positive light to shine in your life. You are beautiful and we all love you sweetie. Take care , xxxx Melody
-
Yeah Wren!!! So glad you are getting "the finishing touches"! Good luck to you , and let us know how it goes. xxxx Mel

My heart has been ripped out this week...

Zippy you are sooooooooooo special XXX

Sue he is not missing you he is just watching over you. don't worry about him being sad, he is there over the rainbow bridge waiting patiently.
My sister had to have her dog put to sleep last summer, he was at least 15. They kept his tags and have a special picture of him with his tag hanging on the frame in their living room.

When we lost Buddy's brother, Boomer, a couple years ago, the vet's office sent us a condolence card with a snip of his fur, tied with ribbon. They also put his paw print in the card. I just about DIED when I opened it. I cried my eyes out for hours. His ashes are still tucked away in my closet. I was afraid to put them out because I didn't want Chase messing with them. Maybe once we're in the new place....
I hate losing pets. It just tears your heart out.
Hugs,
Karen

I am a newcomber to the board and have been reading a lot of what people have written. This topic is close to my heart. I lost my beloved 13 year old Shiz Tzu in February. I did not think I was going to survive that one. Anyway I had a dream the night he died, of my best friend who passed in 2006. He told me to get another dog. I did, about 2 months later, even though my husband was bucking. This dog has been the greatest joy to us. He has saved me. We named him Billy after my lost loved one. Anyway, Billy kind of knows things, even though he is only 9 months old. He senses things. I don't know about anyone else, but I am probably going to lean on this little dog through out my days fighting this disease. Surgery is Monday and I think he knows! I swear!
