Oh Ulla, you are a beautiful queen, princess...not sure what to call it....I too love those jeans!!!!! I want some too.
Lisa-your beautiful...I love your eyes!!!!
Thank you Karen, when my daughter sent that pic of the 5 of us together someone asked her what was wrong with her mom....I believe the actual comment was asked if I was the "runt" in the family!!!! My ex in that pic is not the kids dad, but we were together most of the time the kids were growing up (and boy has he "grown since we split!!!) so my daughter asked him to walk her down the isle instead of her real father(a REAL shit)...
OK Mel, wheres your new hair colored pic???? Im getting ready to dye mine again and think its time for a change...My real color is deep dark brown with lots of grey!!!!, I have had it this reddish/brown color for so long now that no one even realizes I dye it.....Im not sure what I want to do with it now but a color change would make me feel better I think...and if not I can always color it back to this one.
Hugs
Jule

thanks Jule. Matthew is my biological grandson. My middle daughter Alise had him at 17 and she gave him up for adoption. It was an open adoption and Dominic is his older brother. Matthews parents are only a few years younger than me and Dominic is their son, they could not have another child. It's a wonderful relationship we have.
Olivia will be 17 next week. She is beautiful inside as well.
I am going to post a family pic...hold tight..trying to find it..haha
-
my son and his two daughters-the red head is Anna (5 yrs) and the brunette is Tayla(1 yr).
-
I have showed this one before, I think. But since Jule is new here.
This is Oct. 2006, before my dx in March. It's my 3 daughters and me at my wedding, the marriage that did not even last 6 mos.! haha...I can laugh now!
-
Oh Jule...your son gets his good looks from his mother!!! Your grand daughters are adorable!! Gosh I love little ones!!
-
OK ladies , I'm back. My hair is in a towel , not down the drain thank God. Wow , what great pics! Ulla , I love the costumes. You are simply smashing. But what the heck is on the floor in front of you two?! And DH is Very handsome. What a great looking couple you are.
Hi Lisa! You girlfriend are a feast for the eyes! You know , I think you and Karen sorta resemble each other. You both have an oblong face , which is the best cause you can wear your hair anyway you want! Lisa , I can't believe how straight you have gotten your hair. I just bought a LARGE round brush and some hair products. What kind of product do you use in your hair? I am sooo trying to let my hair grow , but it is getting to the "afro" point when I try to style it because of the curls.
Karen , Jada is a real doll-baby. I miss my nieces at that age. I will see what pics I have of them now. But they are all grown up. Still little sweeties to me in my heart.
-
Jule...your family is so beautiful! You must be proud! I think your complexion looks fine. It almost looks like you have a few freckles. Ask Ulla for advice on skin...hers is flawless!
Ulla you and hubby look so much in love! I am so happy for you!
-
Here is a picture of my daughter Alise and her son Matthew when he was just about 9 months. He is now over 3 yrs.
-
OMG Lisa, not only one raving beauty but three and a mom!!!!!!
The pic of my daughter and the two granddaugter was taken at my wedding in 2003....we only made it to 2005 and split so I completely understand what ya mean...
-
Yep...mine got nasty shortly after marriage, then when I got dx...he walked! His loss I think! I am much better off. I think I will stay single the rest of my life! 2 marriages is enough for me. The first one lasted 22 yrs.
-

Mel...I am not sure of the name of the product. I got it at Sally's beauty supply. It's for controling frizzy hair. I just use a little when it's wet and very curly...comb it through, then use the round brush and blow dry and use my fingers too. Then I use a very narrow flat iron to get it straight.
-
Lisa your family is wonderful!!!!!
Im hoping Ulla can give me some pointers on the complexion...or anyone out there........suggestions please!!!! yes what you see is freckles and I hate them....
My son gets so embarassed when I do this
and I always say its my obligation as his mom to show him off..
These three are my daughters little ones.....the baby Emma(now 3), Lily(now 9), and David Jr. or Bubba as we call him (now 5)....Bubba is my little squeeze man, he is the gentlest/sweetest little boy I have EVER known..the squeeze part is my way of sneaking hugs now that he is as HE says "too old for that stuff grandma!!!!" but he doesnt mind quite as much since they arent hugs but squeezes
the picture was taken the in the spring a couple of years ago in a wheat field that surrounds the back of their home.
-
Hey Jule , you have beautiful children. Your son is so handsome. And your daughter is very beautiful. Great genes! Jule , I remember that pic of you(the first one) when I first came here! You were so kind and helpful to me. Thank you sweet sister for all your kindness and words of wisdom.xxxx
-
This is my oldest grandson at his 8th grade graduation last year....He is my daughters son, she too had him in her teens. But was and is a wonderful mother.
-
Ok one last one of my son.....AE remember this one????
I have a lets say "unique" family....this picture of Justin (my son) was taken a year ago this past May....it was a blackmail picture that my nephew took as we were retrieving Justin from the hosptial...we had a party here for Memorial weekend and Justin decided to play on his snowmobile in my back yard...YES, he knew there was no snow in May here!!!!!! see, told ya all a "unique" family.....anyway, he ended up flipping it and severly breaking his ankle in many pieces and had to have it surgically repaired....
-
Jule , I wish I could help with the complexion question. I have always had a ruddy , red complexion. And am suppose to use a green tint conceler. You have more "yellow" pigment in your skin and I'm not sure what color concealer might help that. But you could ask at the cosmetics counter and then get a foundation to match your skin tone. Still think you look great!
-
Jule...we have been through allot haven't we. But have come out smiling! I feel so fortunate for my grandson to be with such a loving family that have us be such a big part of his life!
This is a picture of Olivia when she was young...still sassy! She is a ham...I think Hollywood awaits!!
She is sitting on Danni's lap (my oldest)
-
Awwww thank you Mel...
I remember you from back then too....
Wow, that feels so strange to say...."back then" we were all so scared and unsure of our futures....
Now look where we are....amazing!!!!!
-
This is was taken while waiting to film Olivia's McDonalds commercial. That is Daniel "Boobie" Gibson who plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers. She was "Maria" the McDonals worker. This was just a few months ago.
-
dear jule am sorry ,,not to be a great help about the skin as i am really cluless ,,and dont do anything for mine,,i wake up in the mornning wash my face with (nevia gentle cream)and water ..then put 5 drops of nevia day care cream and then my maskara and lipstick and some kohol(brown eyeliner)and then i am DONE..
wen i come back home just wash my face with the same nevia cream...and thats it,,no powders,,no foundation..no moss..no blusher..notjhing at all
weekly i scrub my face with nevia face scrub(the blue tube)
i spent my life doing the same thing daily..even wen i am not going out...i didnt understand really wats the problem with ur skin,,i didnt c anything with it ,,wat u mean by spotty??forgive the language defferences ,,,
the make up specialist in the course of LOOK GOOD -FEEL BETTER chosed me to be her model to show the steps on my face ..she asked me wat i used to use for my skin ,,wen i told her she said thast the best thing i have done for my face is not using any type of soap on it
-
Its strange but I was just telling my girlfriend the other day that recently is feels like my eyes have suddenly opened and this past 18 months happened to someone else.....looking back at these pictures and talking about "back then" makes me realize that even more.....
Its almost like I really know now that I made it through the tunnel and rode the carosel to the finish and have grabbed that brass ring at the end...
I honestly feel that my journey with BC is over now.....again strange but I feel at peace with it finally.
Thank you so very much for this today Ulla!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Jule...what did your son do to his foot??
Ulla...you are blessed with beautiful skin!! I wish I could just put on mascara and lip gloss and not have to put on any foundation or powder! Before cancer, I was still fighting with adult acne!! Then once I had chemo..it's gone!
-
I think its like like Mel said....my skin is more of a yellow tone and freckles....I guess I will just have to live with it as Ive tried the costmetic counters and they always glob foundations and such on, it does look better but I cant stand the feel of all that on my skin...Ive always done similar to what you do Ulla....very simple skin care
