Good morning everyone.
Nicki, everyone needs that little black dress that makes them feel sexy. Breakfast sounds wonderful. Yeah, you might want to look back over the last couple pages or so. I don't Really know who Buffalogal is either. lol But then do we ever really know anyone...hahahaha
Vicki, happy grocery shopping. Let me tell ya the deal about the wheelchair. You see Jazz told me she'd give me a dollar if I'd ride a turbo charged wheelchair with you on the back...course I said heck yes and she could keep her dollar. I knew you'd be up for it. haha
Hi Jazz. You are just pretty darned resourceful.
Hey Peter, hope you can join us at the birthday bash. BTW, you sounded like a man when you told Madison about not being able to tell which was mother or daughter, something to that effect. I'll grant you that Madison looks Mahvelous, but I bet you tell that to all the girls.
Hey there Lucy & Jezza, come on in and join in with us anytime.
Jankay, glad your daughter made it home ok. Par-Tay later?? I gotta sleep first though.
Charlene, hey. Marsha, hey. And everyone from Amy to Z have a great day.

Good Saturday Morning!
JanKay: Singing Happy Birthday to you!! Hope you have a great day............Now, I have someone here the same age as my Mother! Oops.......I mean as me!!
Nicki: Congrats on buying the 'little black dress!' I bet you do look Sexy in it and the wedding plans sound fun! We'll be waiting for pics!
Suz: Glad to see you post, I thought that I had traumatized you in Michigan! I happen to like your hair!! When I met you I seriously thought.......wish my hair would do that and look so natural!
Vickie: Grocery Shopping before 8 in the morning......There would have to be some great 'early bird specials' to get me there that early on Saturday!
Liz: What nice pics of you and Madison! So glad you had a good time visiting her. I love meeting the girls and putting faces to the names!
Marsha: Dry your tears, I spoke from the heart and I 'love ya!'
Cheri: I know we joined the Circle about the same time. Actually, I joined late summer, but just lingered and lurked for the first few months................we are both such laid back, quiet people that never speak up, must be why we are friends!! (that fake description of us just made me gag!)
Jan: You are right about Bikers blending in with cars. I notice that all the time........you're watching cars and don't even realize a biker is there. Promise to watch carefully and you promise to be careful out there!
Not missing anyone on purpose, gotta hit the shower. DD has some harebrained about meeting for breakfast at 9:00a about half an hour away from here. Ain't happening......I say 10:00a is good! The 3 year old little miss is spending the night with Grandma...............last night she told me on the phone that, "I'll come over but staying all night just won't work!" Where do they get this stuff??!!
Shirley: Thought about getting a job.......briefly and then forgot about it! Oh how I love thee!!
Vickie: For some reason DH didn't get the same amount of humor over the joke on 'changing oil' that I did. Could be cuz he just finished changing the oil in my Car when I showed it to him!!!!
To all, have a great day and I'll be back when 'little miss' allows!
Hugs,
Denise -
Cheri......gotta sleep before you party? This from the queen of No Sleep!!!! Lordy, no matter what time of the day or night I log on.............Cheri is here!!
Lovin your 'sweet sarcasim'............hey, sounds like a song title!
Hugs,
Denise -

Before I finish reading this mornings post I just want to say Nicki it is so nice to see you emerging again socially!!! Seems like we see a little more progress every week. First the Illinois get together, then the pig roast and now what every girl should have, a black sexy dress! I am so glad you are starting to feel more alive in the outside world. We know how wonderful you are, get out there and let the rest of the world know it! Good for you! Hugs, Marsha

Hi gals
I dont know about posting here agiain you know, I feel like everybody here isso smart and all.. Yall gave me a very nice welcom and its preshiated, but like I said, Im just an ordnary gal out in Iowa and I jest thought all you fine ladies here might think I was a kinda ruff around the edges.
I dont get on the computer too much, but I enjoy reading sometimes, and I jus felt like everybody was bein so mean to that poor girl that someone had to stick up for her. Shes not my friend or anything. But it jus didnt sound right to me. Hope no ones mad a t me.
Jus want you gals to know I sure preshiated what you said before and I think all in all youra nice bunch.

Oh My Goodness! The long post I just wrote to everyone is already history.
Good Morning Angel have fun at softball.
Jezza: This is so weird, cause I do remember you. I loved you avatar and with the coffee. I was just thinking about you this morning and how I havent seen you post - and then here you are. Must have been mental telepathy. Good to see you again.
Peter: Wow that was such a nice post. Hope you sleep well and maybe I will catch up with you on the party thread later on.
Vickie: No listen here sunshine sister! Grocey shopping on a Saturday morning is absolutely not allowed! Way too many people for me.
Jasmine: Mornin to you. When I done catching up here for a second time, my plan is to take my dog for a walk. Havent walked with him all week.
Cheri: Good monring sunshine sister. What time does the party start. Early I hope, cause you know me - Im usually the party pooper who goes to bed early.
Jan: I really think I have to give up wine. Lately when I drink it I have been getting headaches. This mornings is a doozy. Talking about bikes. At least bikers follw the rules of the road. What scares me is the professional bicycle riders. Not motorcycles. They dont follow the rules of the road. Cross streets against the stop lights, move up inbetween cars, just cause they can.
Marsha: What a sweet post. You dont know how good that made me feel. Guess I am growing slowly but surely. I cant help but think a greater power put that dress in the store for me - its perfect.
OK - time to walk the doggie. I will catch up with ya all later.
Nicki -
Notepad Notepad Notepad...Miss Nicki!
-
Jasmine!
Have a wonderful morning. Im past breakfast, now Im thinking about lunch. Think I will marinate some beef and chicken kabobs. Have all vegetable kabobs for those that dont eat meat. BBQ them and ask our dear Cheri to share some of her fresh corn.
Nicki -
OMG! That's LUNCH???? Something that much work would be called dinner at my house.
-
I think for dinner I will be on the party thread having BEER BEER BEER.
Nicki -
LOL something that much work would be called shocking in my house.
-
Well, then that makes perfect sense! LOL
Edited to say that this was in response to Nicki's post not about Marsha's shocking news. -
Nicki, every girl needs a sexy black dress, so glad you bought it. Have a great time.
Amy, I am so sorry you have to go through this. We have been pulling for your dad, but my arms are around you right now.
Count down until Monday! The weird thing is we are kind of getting into a routine. I guess we'll adjust (ha ha).
Thanks for the kind words, I love you all. -
Peter, I just wanted to say that you are such a nice comforting addition to the circle. I'm so glad you joined. I just wish there wasn't such a crazy time difference.
-
Hi family...just stopping in for a quick post before I go back and read. Everytime my eldest son uses my computer, it goes out of wack. Just got it back up after a few days.
Sad news in my wagon. Though nothing like Amy's..
Lost my job on Wednesday...due to the bad housing market (so they say)They will keep paying my health benefits until January or when I get a job. At least that's something off my mind. Really sucks because you give so much and feel you're important to something and then they just say "Goodbye" I already have been getting calls from another source and have a meeting with him in 2 weeks at a convention in Atlantic City about the job offer. I really liked the people but the stress there was really too much. The VP and I were on the phone for over an hour Wed night and he was offering his support and contacts to help me with other nurseries and employment in the industry.
Mb...you know what my next problem is and I'll post on the other thread.
I should be able to post alot more now. Can't start any new job until Sept because I have my stage II recon to finish in August. Love to all. xoxo -
good morning friends. Off to the lake today. I'm excited. First time I've been there in 3 years. Gonna bring the canoe and rent a kayak once we get there. Should be a grand time. Have lots to do before we leave so I'll just say howdy and have a great day. Catch you all later.
-
OH Teresa. Big hugs for you. That is just rotten.
-
Morning everyone, goodnight Peter and Jezza.
Jezza & Lucy - so good to see you guys here.
Shir - hope you have a great day. I know you're already gone. LOL
Theresa - I'm so sorry. You'll find something soon I hope. Hang in there hon.
Jas - what are your plans for the day? Chasing Lizzards?
Nicki - wooohooo the special little black dress. You go girl. Actually, I'm thinking I might want my hair a bit shorter. Never thought I'd say that but what the hey. The verdict is still out for now.
Jan - I know what you mean about cars not seeing bikers. As a former rider, it's downright scary on the roads. You be safe.
Cheri - you always make me smile. Thanks for your posts.
Marsha - hope the burns improve. I love Silvadene. I didn't do rads, but have used it for other things.
Morning Denise.
I've missed many and I'm so sorry. I always have everyone here in my thoughts and prayers.
Extra prayers for Amy now as well. Such a difficult time for her.
Thanks everyone for the comments on the pictures. Madison and her daughter are just so nice. I am now Madison's daughter's "close mom" in case she has a problem. I could get to her faster than Madison could. We had a wonderful time. Visiting with her just makes me more excited about Pinkstock. I can't wait to meet everyone in person.
Time for me to start working again. DH woke up sick (asthma I do believe again) and I'm going to go to the pharmacy and get something for him. He usually ends up with pneumonia when this starts. NOT now please!
Have a happy and great day everyone. I'll pop in later.
Hugs
Liz -
Well should I say I walked my dog or did he walk me. All I know is he was pulling me at an almost jogging rate. Maybe 3.5 o 4 mph! So here I am back and sweating my head off.
Tgirl; Im so sorry about the job. Nothing worse than being let go for whatever the reasons. Thank goodness they are keeping your insurance. I know you will find another job and you will look back at all of this with relief. Sending you big hugs today.
Nicki -
Morning all. Finished week 1 of exercise boot camp - wahoo! I'm not sore today, so that's a good thing. I've been trying to watch what I eat and did pretty well until last night when we went to see the new Die Hard and of course I ate popcorn. Oh well, I was good the rest of the week. Now to get caught up. Oh, glad everyone liked Master of Manipulation (aka Mom) - even though I am one and don't consider myself in that category - mine is teaching me what NOT to do to my kids.
Jankay, sounds like you had a good therapy session the other day. I hope you are having a wonderful birthday today.
Amy, I'm praying for your dad.
Gina, glad you popped in and wish you would pop in more often because we do miss you. There is not a day that goes by when someone doesn't mention missing you. And what is the nonsense that you think you can't post? Yes, a lot of different topics fly by on this thread but I like that I think it brings us closer - and allows us to get to know one another better. And I like that I have something else to think about besides cancer. And when you are in need, we will move you to the inner circle and comfort you, so please post more often. By the way, the taco was perfect for lunch.
Shokk, great for you on the 12 lbs. I would take the new pill, Alli, if I wasn't so afraid of the side effects at inconvenient times. What are you eating to keep the fat to 15%?
Cheri, haven't read far enough yet to find out if Jas paid you for popping wheelies with Vickie on the back. What a visual that is with the two of you.
Nickie, your personal motivation coach is asking how you are doing today. Did you walk to 7-11 to get your paper? What's the weather like in Chicago today? Pool weather? Instead of telling me what you can't do today, tell me what you can do. The other night we walked over to the local Rite Aid and Trader Joe's (six blocks or so) and today I think I'm going to jog around the track - I have got to get my speed up in running since they do a lot of running in boot camp. The new dress sounds very nice, and it must be, because you sound very excited. The wedding sounds like fun. Oh, just read that you ran with the dog - good job.
Pam, the wedding sounds wonderful and I'm hoping there was no rain.
I'm with Lisa, I've never been one for conflict or drama trauma, and I'm even less inclined now. We are all here for each other.
Liz/Madison, what great pics of you guys, and Madison, your daughter is gorgeous, definitely takes after mama. Sounds like you all had a great time.
Shirley, I love What Not to Wear, watch it all the time and have even learned a thing or two. Where is Mizsissy's nightgown? I need to see it now that you commented on how gorgeous it is. Which lake did you go to?
Peter, three months off? You take care of yourself. I look forward to your posts every day. And thank you for giving us more information about yourself.
Saying hi to Lucy and Jezza.
Theresa, sorry about you losing your job. At least they are paying your benefits for awhile. Hope something comes through for you soon.
Ok, it's time to get my lazy butt out of bed - it's now 8 am and I've been reading this thread (and no other) since 6:30 this morning! I think maybe I'll make fish tacos for dinner tonight? Never made them before but hubby would love it. Anyone make them before?
Have a good day all, Amy to Z. Amy, hugs and prayers to you.
Margaret -
Just popping in quick to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!Jankay.
House needs some serious cleaning so see you all later.
Suz -
Just a quick note to all my circle pals,
I am a lousy circle friend, never writing but always reading, keeping tabs on everyone
I am participating in a big dragon boat festival/races this weekend and will be honoring all of you fine ladies and Peter with prayers during the survivor ceremony on Sunday.
You are never far from my thoughts and prayers, each and every one of you fine folks.
Are any of you guys on facebook?
love to all, Tina -
Tina, hey good to see you and what fun the fesival will be! Are you racing or watching? What a great time to have on your birthday weekend! Have fun.....
Marsha -
MargaretB: You certainly are a personal motivation coach. I though of you yesterday when I found that dress. Looked in the mirror and said to myself - I do look good in this.
Didnt walk to 7/11 today. DH started breakfast and I always cook the eggs. But I will be walking to CVS pharmacy later to get some scripts filled. Might even take my dog for a second walk this evening. And definitely have to pull weeds.
Peter: chicken Kabobs. Cut up pieces of chicken, onions, mushrooms, peppers, pineapples, toamatoes. Marinate then put on skewers. Then bbq. Yummy!
I took a look at my flowers this morning. The snap dragons are just beautiful. Last week I saw a bumble bee going from flower to flower - and things sure got pollinated. There are new colors - so pretty.
Tina: Have fun on your birthday week-end. So good to see you, you are a sweet friend.
Ok gotta run. I just realized I have new project I need to work on. My niece is having twins! Whenever there is a new baby, I make an afghan. So she will be expecting one or in this case two. At least I know they are boys so I have two different colors of blue. Guess thats what I will be doing all day since her baby shower is the beginning of August.
Have a great day everyone and I will check back with ya all later.
Oh by the way, I realize when I read back, that I did indeed post the wrong date for Minnie Riperton. She passed away July 12, 1979 - what a beautiful voice eh?
