TIME TO CIRCLE THE WAGONS GIRLS

Hey All
Had kind of a tough week, and just sat here for an hour and twenty minutes reading and catching up. Too tired to do more than say hello, but will jump back on board tomorrow.
Tim sent me an e-mail last night, and said he was sorry to bother me, but he left his wetsuit here (I can't find it) and oh btw can I have the engagement right back. Can you even believe the nerve of him? Really not what I needed as I'm already having kind of a bad week (nothing major, just feeling sorry for my self), but in a way, it was so outrageous, tacky and ridiculous that it kind of made me laugh.
OK, sweet sister and brother Peter, I'm off to bed and praying that I actually sleep some.
Sorry things were kind of tough here this week. Hate that. -
Ah hugs Colleen. I'm not sure what the ettiquete is but I would think he wouldn't be entitled to it back since he's the one that broke the engagement.
-
If you all don't mind my two cents but Colleen, on one of the Judge shows on cable this situation did come up. The Judge, I think it was Judge Judy, said if the woman breaks the engagement it is suggested she give back the ring. There is no real legal precedent. The ring was a gift. On the other hand, when the man breaks it, like on the show, he has no right to ask for his gift back. If the woman wants to give it back, she can but does not have to. JMHO and also, I understand the rulings these guys hand down are binding because they really are bonafide judges.
Nicki, instructions were a bad choice of words. Advice is a better one. Thanks. Great dress by the way! -
Hey everyone, I'm beat. Audrey's team played four games today and won so we're back at it tomorrow even earlier .. up by 6 AM so we can get to the field by 7:30 for an 8:00 AM game. Got home at 8:00 PM after leaving this morning at 7:30 AM. I'm fried (Peter, saw your post too late lol) and my eyes are blurry from all the field dust. My eyes just watered the entire time I was there as it did last weekend .. wonder if I might have an allergy to it. Very annoying and they hurt! Anyway I'll try and catch up tomorrow, wishing all the sweetest dreams and a peaceful night and day!

Hello to all. My goodness there was alot of reading to do. Tonight my dh sliced me some home grown tomatoes and cooked some home grown corn on the cob. Simply heaven. We have quite a bit of corn for him to bring in tomorrow and me to clean. A vegetable garden is one of te best things about summer. I hope Ethans watermelons turn out well.
Denise, yep I do have to sleep some times but I sure hate having to it seems like such a waste of time.
Theresa, sorry abot your job but I just know everything will be alright. Can you draw unemployment benefits?
Sheri, you seem like you're changing. I do believe you're getting stronger and more self confident. It looks good on you.
Iris, so good to see your post. I'm ready for you to come home now so we can keep in regular touch with IM's. I miss you when you're away.
Shokk, I'm not sure I can stand the suspense.
Z, stay strong and try not to get 'Ghetto' on the toxic person at work. lol Your posts are always interesting.
Peter, good morning? No. That's not right. I think it's good afternoon there?
Vickie, thank you for the sweet tucking in for all of us, as usual.
Hey to Janny, Marsha, Charlene, Shirley, and Margaret and Jazz and all my friends from Amy to Z. Wishing you all a peacefulnights sleep.
Amy, praying for your daddy.

I think you should stick with your prayer group - it seems you really need it, and personally, I am done with communicating with you - I've indulged way more than I would anyone of your demeaner. -
Oh Peter, Im so excited. I reaching my hand through the computer to grab a cup of that coffee. And its probably time for you to go to sleep!
Well it was a pretty quiety night here on the boards. Noticed I was really on a roll when I went back to read everyones posts. Im laughing at my own posts for Petes Sake. See what a glass of wine will do for ya. Ummmm maybe 2 or 3 glasses!
Sue/Gus: I love the vidoe about Linda McCartney. I have been in love with Paul since 1964. It helps me reflect as to what brought me here in the first place. Since my husband is an entertainer, I compared myself alot to Linda when I was first diagnosed. I remember watching a horse race and one of the horses was called "linda's Last Dance." Didnt want the horse to win - and it did. Thought it was a message that my time was up. That was 2 years ago, seems silly to me now.
Sue/Boo: I would not have the energy to have a house full of boys like you did. Makes me appreciate even more the quiet times I have when no one is home. Glad you got some laughs last night, I was laughing pretty hard myself.
Cheryl Holt: Good to see you pop in. How is your new home? Hoping all is going well with you. That videa is great isnt it. Our sweet Gina put it together and it really says what we are all about. Looks like we were drinking wine together last night.
Odalys: It was so good to talk to you this weekend. And yes - friends are what makes the world go around!
NS: Hoping today is a good day for you. I remember way back when you were first diagnosed you were concerned having to go through all of this alone. I admire your strength. Just remember, you are not alone. We are here, wanting to talk to you - maybe offer some words of comfort or a hug. I walked to the middle of the circle last night to peak in your cabin - and you looked beautiful dammit!
Iris: It was sorta fun going back and reading the posts for the first couple of days. This group started strong and we have stayed strong from the beginning. So many have joined us this wonderful group and we all have become such good friends.
Angel: I just thought about you. Didnt see you alot yesterday. Guess the baseball and kids are keeping you busy - but thats a good kind of busy.
Sherloc: Sure sounds like you had fun yesterday. Fried Chicken and macaroni salad - I would be in heaven. Makes me want to go on a picnic. Looks like Peter found a really big couch for us - I think we need it as many of us are confused the past couple of days.
Liz: Yep, got it at Dress Barn. I like to go there because depending on my weight - they have all different sizes. Saw alot of pretty dresses there and they are on sale - getting rid of what they have and getting ready for Fall clothing. Ye Gods! I hate to think that soon there will be Fall clothing and Halloween stuff in the stores. Im enjoying this summer way too much - I dont want it to be over too soon.
Denise: I loved the story about your GD and the bee. Pollinating - thats so funny. I mentioned inone of my posts yesterday about my snap dragons. Its fun to watch a bee in action. Especially when its snap dragons cause they can get their body inside the flower. Amazing. Anyways, I have so many different colors. Dont understand how a white plant can now be blossoming red!
Vickie: What a sweet good night post. Im with you and ready to open my arms to any new person who wants to pull up a wagon and join the circle. This is a wonderful place and a safe place to come. We all know to just try and be nice to each other. Support each other and make each other laugh sometimes.
Angel: Ahhhh I see you did pop in last night before hitting the sack. Makes me remember a mothers work is never done.
Colleen: Oh my goodness - I do believe Tim is a liver lillied ass! First he leaves without saying good-bye, taking the dog with him. And now he emails you that he wants the ring back. I do believe what Beth said is correct. If the male does the breakup, the ring is yours as it was a gift. Tell him you threw it in the garbage! Hoping this week is better for you.
Cheri: When I was a little girl, I saved my seeds from a piece of watermelon and planted them in the backyard. It was pretty funny cause they took over the whole garden, but it sure was fun watching them grow. Unfortunately living in Chicago we had an early frost and they were gone over night.
Peter: I love the big yellow couch! Might spend the rest of today on it. Believe it or not, I dont have a hang over this morning. Ill be walking my dog, or should I say my dog will be walking me shortly.
Joyce: Somehow, I missed your post. Always good to hear from you and good to hear Kevin is doing well. He has been through so much this past year.
Z: Looks like you were up late. Just remember that sometimes ignore is a good thing. Hope to see ya sometime today.
Jankay: Hoping you had a wonderful birthday.
Beth: Thanks for the compliment on my dress. It sure is a pretty one.
Jasmine and Vickie: Time to wake up dear sunshine sisters.
See ya all later. Think I might just go back to bed and watch the news.

Good night Peter
Nicki -
Good morning sunshine sister Nicki...I'm up but rather blurry eyed! Those are some pretty interesting pics you posted LOL. Had a bit of wine myself yesterday and ended up takin a nap. Planned on getting up early and getting the house all picked up and sparkling before church but...slept in again. Oh well. In a hundred years no will know.
Good night big brother...hope you sleep well and I'm glad that spring is just around the corner for you. Tucking you in and throwing some logs in the fire.
Colleen...I missed you in my good night post...sending you a warm hug this morning. Know that right here...in this wonderful circle...you are loved by all. Come sit by the fire and let us give ya some hugs. Put the ring on Ebay and go buy yourself a sexy dress!! HA...see if you can find the wetsuit and put that on Ebay too...sell em cheap and laugh! (ooo...my vindictive side is showing...)
Missed Marsha last night too so I'm gonna wish her a grand day today with a promise to tuck her in tonight. I love your barstool dancing stories...sending you a hug for the day. Are you ok? Intuition kickin in that says you're a bit down and out...what can we do?
Wow ladies...if we had that couch Peter posted we could all hang out together...just imagine.
Think I may go back to the beginning and do some reading today...just to remember where we all we and see where we all are today.
Love ya all...bunches.
Vickie
Jankay, Jasmine, Betty...wake up! -
Hey Vickie, no I'm not down and out, actually starting to get my groove back! (Thank God). I've been reading and have kept caught up and here is why I have not posted:
I have a very low bullshit tolerence.
So instead of saying something I might regret, I PUSHED AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER! LOL LOL LOL
Laughing very hard at Z's "going ghetto". Girlfriend, can you teach me how to do that? haha
Love you all Amy to Z, BTW be careful with the "clique" thingy. I got the nastiest PM! Marsha -
A nasty pm to you! Oh the nerve...what in the hell is wrong with people...they obviously don't come here and read or they would totally understand what a wonderful open armed clique we are.
I kinda like the "goin ghetto" idea myself LOL.
Don't let em push you away from the circle...we need you!
Hugs and glad you're getting your groove back!
Vickie -
i am up
i overslept and since it takes me so long to get, ready

Marsha: I have missed you around here. If someone took time to send you a nasty pm, well you dont want them in your life anyways.
I think I found the perfect picture of the person who sent you a nasty.

EachDay: So nice to see you.
Now its time for breakfast. Got some cereal for Sherloc. Have and nice frittata cooking over the fire and should be done by the time most of you wake up. Its gonna be a hot day, so Im switching to iced coffee.
Just looked at my watch. Yes its time for the dog to take me for a walk. See ya all later.
Nicki -
Can you imagine having to kiss this?
-
EachDay, thank you for that beautiful post especially for taking the time to come here and see for yourself what the wagon circle really means. You took the time to read back and get the feel of us and I really appreciate that. I hope you will continue to visit or better yet, pull up a wagon. You sound like a very special spirit. Hugs to you, Marsha
-
Good morning girls - I posted this in the moving beyond OT thread and thought I would also post it here in light of the what has been happening the past couple days. I love the CG and I am so greatful that it is here for me and everyone else that wants to visit. But, I guess I just don't understand all the strief (sp) that has been on the CG and here the past couple days (moving beyond). I don't remember when I joined the CG - but it was sometime last fall. Yes it is a "clique" - but that is not bad. A "clique" is just a group of friends/people within a larger group. It does not mean it is exclusive. It is a wonderful group of women/men who come together to try to support each other. For me personally it has been my support group. I went to a live support group here in denver and it did not fit my needs. I love BC.org - it offers to much. One of the things I like most is that I CAN TAKE WHAT I WANT AND LEAVE WHAT I DON'T WANT. For me, that means that I don't have to read posts or threads that are not of interest to me or that I don't like the topic. We are all adults and its time to act like adults. I work in an elementary school and part of our pledge is "I will be safe, caring, respectful and responsible so that teachers can teach and students can learn.... I think we can all use this pledge of safe, caring respectful and responsible. There is no reason for us to be rude or disrespectful to anyone here whether we agree or disagree. Maybe sometimes its just best to agree to disagree. I apologize if I have hurt anyone feelings, but its time for everyone to remember why we are here and to remember that we are all different, all have our own journies, our own way of handling things and of course our own issues in life that are beyond BC. Hugs from Denver and hoping that people will be safe, caring, respectful and responsible so that people can post and people can read the posts in a safe, loving matter. KAren in Denver

howdy girls!
i tried to read and catch up on everyone and everything ....... wow what an interesting few days lol!
anyone who portends to infer that this place is a clique is simply "FOS" (a favourite diagnosis on my floor lol)!
i read as always, snuggle in my afghan nightly, and think of you all daily.
i am overwhelmed right now with the abominal treatment i continue to receive at work and so this seems to be my new focus. i have never been much of a crier, but it seems that i'm in tears constantly lately (90% of the time at work) and it is quite embarrassing.
i'm wondering if i'm coming unglued!!!! and to add to the frey, my right shoulder, wrist and thumb are all but ruined since returning to my floor. i live on aleve (which i have to go across the border to get), tylenol 3's and 800mg's of motrin around the clock.
.............. OMG, i just read my rant!!!!! can someone send me some cheese to go with my whine????
guess i just needed to be heard, since my concerns and plea's at work are falling on deaf ears, and poor tinairene must have a purple ear from being on the phone everynight listening to my plight lmao!
i love you all and miss you immensely but i try to keep this crap to myself because it is becoming all consuming and quite tiresome!
i'd better get ready to go to the dragonboat races ....... i want to cheer tina on ........ my employer will be there, but i'll just avoid their booth lol!
take care girls ........ genetic testing on tuesday (if i can get the time off work) and i'm a bit apprehensive ...... i really don't want anymore diagnostics done ....... i don't want to hear anymore bad news ya know?
what exactly do they do for genetic testing anyhow? do i have to have more scans and chemistry done? if so, i think i'll decline! what a wimp eh?
enjoy the day ladies ......... hugs to everyone (and i'm not even a "hugger" lol)

Wowser...just woke up and there is a giant yellow couch in my house!!!!!
Good morning Vickie, brother Peter, The Fabulous Ms Z, Nicki, Marsha, Karen, Each. Where is the rest of our 'clique'? Do I need to make some more koolaid?
Wake up Jankay!
Just looked outside and it looks like its going to be a gorgeous day even if its probably going to be hot as hades. The lawn guy finally came and mowed the grass so I can actually walk in the backyard.
Peter -- why won't you let that poor pup ride in the car with you?
Coffee's ready...be back later. -
OK Shel, I will never get the FOS out of my head trying to figure out what that stands for. First time I saw BTW, it about drove me crazy and when someone finally told me what is stood for I felt stupid! Ok I am alittle computer stupid. LOL
-
I'm thinkin FOS = full of stuff?
