TIME TO CIRCLE THE WAGONS GIRLS

Beth, you are not the one I think is using a multiple account. I have a pretty good idea who it is though.
-
(((Sweet Amy)))
You are in my prayers along with your darling dad. I am so sorry.
MissZ, I tested positive for a variant of BRCA2 and it was my paternal great aunts and uncles who had cancer. Once you do a family tree with a genetic counselor, they can guide you in the right direction. I hope this helps.
Thanks for asking Jasmine. I took some time away from the board because of first, the heat wave we had here and I have no a/c in my office and second because I spend all day dealing with cancer... I write about it, research it, have it, am getting chemo for it, and am mentoring some women who are going through it right now... I was on BC overload!
I am getting the Abraxane weekly now. I am not sure how that will work out because I feel rotten all the time now and don't get a "good" week.
Hi Marsha and Sue- good to see you both!
Hello Peter, we haven't formally met but I am glad to meet you!
Love,
g -
NO A/C???? <shakes head and mumbles...'yankees sheeessh!'>
-
Oh hell, I've got so many other factors, DES daughter, HRT for too long including estrogen w/o progesterone, no full pregnancies, hormones to get pregnant. I had three tumors, the biggest just 2.2 cm, but one of the highest Oncology DX scores I've ever seen.
And now I'm having allergic reactions to hormonal therapy. I have a history of anaphalactic allergies; in fact, I thought this would do me in before my dx. Oh Geez. Thought I was all done and through that hurdle.
It's been hard to post. I've been so very worried about Puppy and everything she's going through. Please pray for her.
Marsha, MY onc told me a couple days ago that I did not qualify for testing because I had to have a first degree relationship (mother, sister) to someone with BC. But he's the kind of doctor if you tell him anything, he tells you you don't really have the right info. This is something I truly don't know about.
Mizsissy -
LOL just saying "No AC" gave me a hot flash!
I didn't know you could sign on with different accounts. I thought it was tracked my e-mail, cookies or something equally technical. Huh learn something new every day. -
Gina: You are my friend. I miss you so very much. I hate to think you are not comfortable posting here. I too am uncomfortable posting to you. I dont know if your having a bad day or week and always wonder why you are staying away. Then I realized, this is a nightmare for you. Been through it once and now having to go through it again.
You are my friend, and I miss you. I want to be her for you and anyone else that is going through some awful times.
Nicki -
Marsha, it is against the rules of conduct now but in the past some have set up multiple accounts and used them to cause trouble.
-
Hell I got enough trouble! I am so serious, you could fry an egg on my chest!
-
How many more weeks of rads? Have you tried aloe vera? put it in the fridge and it will be nice and cool when you apply it.
-
The bottle kind you can get from walmart...not the actual plant. Just thot I should clarify before you killed a poor plant.
-
I love you all...Gina...miss you around here...some days we just need your voice of reason like a group of kindergartners running amuck waiting to get caught LOL.
Multiple accounts...who? Vickie's on the confused couch as usual.
Good morning Peter...sending Starbucks your way! -
Jas and Marsha, I thoguth that you both thougth Buffalogal, or whoever, was me and I was reacting to that. See what the written word does? BTW, the "dancing out the door" I did was in reaction to gettign the last drain removed after 8 weeks! Wouldn't anybody do that?
Well, at least I know how to get rid of my apetite, stir up a pot of trouble! Big mistake on my part. Now this diet can be used on an extremely rare basis because I think it also stirred up my colitis! -
oh Marsha...if it gets too bad ask for Silvadene...it worked wonders for me and I was burnt black in spots...it was bad. Partly because I had an allergic reaction to the first burn creme they gave me. Gentle hugs to you. You will heal faster than you think...I promise.

JANKAY IS OFFERRING HER HOUSE FOR THE CYB ER PARTY TO
CELEBRATE HER 53RD BIRTHDAY TOMORROW -
WOO HOO JANKAY'S BIRTHDAY IS TOMORROW...CYBER PARTY AT HER HOUSE!!!! I was gonna sneak us all in on her but she beat me to it!!
-
Oh yes! I forgot that I got a big vat of silvadene for my underarm oozefest too! Works great. Its to keep the areas from getting infected though so it won't do much for any pain. The weird thing is that due to lymph node removal and nerve damage, the raw area under my arm never really hurt...was just a bad oozing mess though...had to wear old white cotton tshirts.
-
Alwayshope you are so right......never believed "buffalogal" from the getgo anyway just a quick hug to Amy (((((Amy))))))so so sorry........will try and check back in over the weekend but just don't know....by the way Liz it is raining like heck here.......love to all.......Alwayshope I'll be watching out for lizards.....ha........see ya later gators........
-
(((Amy))) I am so sorry and I am praying for comfort and strength for you.
Hugs and love,
Sue -
Woohoo! Partyat Jankay's. Ummm...you seem to be out of toilet paper!
-
OHhhhhh Jankay happy happy birthday..........don't get pulled over for driving dui on your skooter..........
-
Hey Beth, no I was not suggesting that at all. And I think Jas is saying others outside of the circle look for discord here and then try to make it worse. Not you honey. AND I knew why you were dancing out the door. My comment was that the other women didn't know you and your situation and your explanation might have set her off. LOL automatic diet! And don't mention colitis, my DH might accidently hear you and go into a spasm right along with you!! LOL Remember I told you if you wear the 3 monkeys of see no, hear no, speak no that you would be fine. Are you questioning my spiritual healing abilities missy? hahaha
Jas, my onc had me do 17 regualr rads, then today started my first day of 5 boosts, then I do 11 more regular. He likes to boost in the middle to give the skin a break. So by my calender, I should be done August 3 which is right in the middle of Pinkstock. So I expect everyone to have a drink in my honor!! teehee I have tons and tons of aloe growing and I have LATHERED my self up!
Marsha -
OK! 3 glasses of wine and I feel like Im on the chat. This is moving way too fast for me. Time to go bbq some Italian Sausages. Have a great evening. I will catch up in the morning.
Nicki -
LOL SHOOK
I WILL TRY BUT U KNOW VICKI AND MARSHA ARE TROUBLEMAKERS -
jankay.....especially with that "I'm only speeding cause I really have to poop" magnet you got on there!
-
LOL MARSHA
I LOVE MY BUMPER STICKER -
Amy - I am so sorry. Sending big hugs to you. Lots of prayers going up for your dear dad and family.
I had a great time in Michigan last weekend. I see Denise posted the pics of the two of us dancing on the chairs - in public no less! It was great getting to meet Denise and she is just as nice and funny in person as she is here.
Gone for only four days but came back and was drowning in work. Just caught up this afternoon. It is nice to work out of my home - but going out of town can be brutal with the work piling up.
Karen - welcome back - sounds like you had a good trip - someplace I would like to visit someday.
Shokk - congrats to your daughter. If you don't chaperone -get in the suitcase! That is so cool.
Shirley and Liz - I need a haircut too. My dd told me the other day my hair looks like Spencer's (the dog)! When I told my other dd what she said - she had the nerve to agree with her sister! I am also lacking in the hair fixing department so need something wash and wear. Need to do something before Pinkstock.
Okay, I read back, didn't take notes and cannot remember a darn thing.
Sheri - glad that you just have anemia (sounds weird saying that). I go see my PCP next week and will discuss with her about my low WBC and RBC counts. Kind of stressing about it - hoping it is just my new "normal".
Mizsissy - I think you should at least be able to be tested. There is the possibility that your mother had the gene just never got breast cancer - which can happen. Sometimes they want you to have two first degree relatives (mother and sister) in order to do the test. Funny thing - my mother had bc, my sisters doc wanted her to get genetic testing after I was diagnosed - she was afraid so I told her I would get tested (seemed reasonable to me since I had bc). I went for the counseling and they said no - I only had one first degree relative - but my sister could get tested because she had two first degree relatives - go figure. She hasn't had the testing yet.
Liz - are you competing with Robin for the Martha Stewart award? Sounds like a lot of work - when you're done can you come to my house? I have a bathroom that could use a major overhaul. I bet it will be lovely.
Cheri - Ethan and Kevin sound like they are keeping you busy. Did I read right - Pinkstock 08 in Missouri? Making me hungry talking about fresh corn and tomatoes.
Vicki - good luck with your interviews next week.
Nicki - have a great weekend and enjoy the nice weather we are having before it gets hot again next week.
Well, time to go pick up the dd from work and get something for dinner - no clue as to what it will be yet.
Hugs to all from A to Z,
Suz -
Mizsissy, it cant hurt to talk to a genetic counselor. He/she will go over your history with you and determine if you are a candidate for the test. My experience was "they" think everyone is a candidate. I had no family history until my mother was dx 6 months after I was.She told us she had ovarian cancer in her 20's but that is doubted because she never had any type of treatment for it except a hysterectomy. And women just didn't walk away from ovarian cancer in the 60's. Anywhos, they figured I was a candidate for testing based on that info. I tested negative.

SURE PETER
COME ON OVER
THANK U FOR THE BDAY WISH -
Amy, I am so sorry about your daddy. I am praying for Peace and Comfort for your family right now.
-
Peter you can have the coffee I spit all over my screen when I saw that picture.
