Deb ~ I feel for Danial. I hurt just reading about the pain. But glad it turned out to be a great day for you all.
-
Deb - Ay pobrecito, Daniel. That sounds so painful. It must have been hard on you too. I can do the gift exchange. Whatever the group decides will be fine with me.
Anna - that grandson is so adorable. I just want to hug him.
I'm so tired, my mind just went blank. So I will just say Hi to Mary Lou and Margerie.
Good night sisters!

I know it's kinda big, but I had to do that so you can see the look of awe and wonder on his little cherub face!
-
Just so exciting Deb. He looks so cute. We all went to the Christmas parade last night and Sebastian could hardly move from all the layers of warm clothes. He saw Santa and called out to him. I just love watching the world through a child's eyes.
And I forgot the camera.....
But I may get a shot or two from Jessie.

Odalys,
We are about to venture into the attic and go out and get our tree also
Every year I can't believe how unorganized our decorations are and I always vow to do better..... I can be in denial for another half hour or so....
A friend of mine forwarded this Spirited Woman Holiday Guide and it is just fabulous. I hope you can check it out!

I may be getting a job, I have an interview at 1:30 today.
It is a small job at a coffee shop. Should be easy on
my body. I just can't do the things I did before
the BC. But miss working .
After I was cut off while out for surgery.
They only had a few hours, and it was just not worth the drive when gas was so high.
This shop is close enough to walk to if I had to.
-
Have you all got your tree up yet?
-
No, we don't yet! (blush!)
Good luck on getting the job! I worked at Starbucks for 5 years and LOVED it.
-
My tree is up and lights are on because it's pre lit. But that's as far as it's gotten.
The grand children are spending the night, so we may get it decorated.

Got the tree up and decorated, but it is a wee tree. Way overloaded with lights and decorations. Just can't leave any out cause each one has a history.
I hope the job works out, Mary Lou.
Love, Anna

I got the job....but I also had a doctor appointment with the surgeon for my port removal after. He wants to remove it Friday. So I'm not sure if I will be able to work that soon after.
Michael was told this morning that the lay off will be permanent this time. So here we go. May have to move to another state. Not really sure what will happen in the next few months.
My son will also lose his job, so it has hit us hard. Not sure if he will go to Northern Va and work with his brother or not. Jessie said she will stay back this time for sure. It's just to hard on the little ones.
This is a terrible time to lose your job.
Also I learned one of my BC sisters here passed on Sunday. She has fought a hard battle....such a good person. I'm sure she is in a good place.
Sorry to be such a downer.....Here is a couple cute pictures I took of the babies. That always cheers me up.

I am so sorry to hear your news, Mary Lou! I have a brother in the finance industry who has been struggling for two years now; he is currently doing contract work and will be unemployed again early next year, probably mid-January. The lack of health insurance is the worst part. Truly there is something wrong here, we call ourselves the most advanced nation in the world but we lag far far behind many other countries who take care of their elderly, their children, people who are ill, etc., etc.
You still have your port? It must have been hard going in every month for maintenance. What a reminder. I think you will be very happy to be rid of it. Mine left a nasty scar, which I regard and touch with gratitude every day.
My caring thoughts and hopes for encouragment are with you.
Love, Anna

Thank you Anna, yes the port was still in, my doctor wanted to be on the safe side and not take it to soon. He felt I was not out of the woods. Now all is go. At 1 pm on Friday I will be free of the port.
Guess this is my last step.
I'm still working with my PS to get my implant right. He may have to make the pocket deeper. So I will have to have that done before our insurance is gone.
Let's hope Michael finds a job soon. Which I feel is going to be impossible. At least at the pay scale he needs.

Oh ML.......
I'm reaching my hand out-do you see it? Grab hold, and don't let go until we get through this, okay?
It is going to feel so much better to get the port out-like Anna said, I once used to hide that area, now I look at it every single day and remember that I fought like hell and EARNED that scar!
Why would you move? To wherever a job may be offered? Or to family? This is going to be a rough patch, but like you said, those babies are going to keep a smile on your face.
PS-who did we lose from here?
Anna, that little cherub is PRECIOUS as heck. I just want to tickle him. What a joy!
Ody-how are you doing? How has work been lately? I'm reaching my hand out to you as well as we venture to the next holiday without a loved one.
Margerie-how is everything? How is the medifast? I totally want to try it, but what if it is disgusting?! I tried Nutrisystem and it worked, but I couldn't finish it. Ick!
Nancy?! Where are you? LAT56? Where are you?
I've been thinking of our Kim-do any of you need Anthony's addy to send a card? Also, I was going through email addresses, and found Kaye's. I wish we knew about what happened.....
Love and prayers, Deb

Deb~ By here I meant here in my town. We did chemo together and went to Look Good Feel Better class. She was a dear soul. I know she is in good hands now. God was her strength.
She has fought a hard 3 year battle.
Thanks for holding my hand....
Reason for the relocation is where they are sending the plant. Georgia....great place for hot flashes Grrrrrr
We will just have to see how this all plays out.

My port is now history......everything went fine. Sebastian's birthday party is today , I'm not in to much pain, it was worse when he put it in than taking it out. I could not believe how small the tube was....tiny.
They did say I had sugar spilling over into my urine. Here we go......time to get my weight under control. And get serious.

Are the boards giving you all trouble? I have had a hard time posting ....

Marg, the card was so sweet. Can't believe how fast all our little ones are growing. Which means so are we.
