Marg - Nice article. I had no idea you were involved in so much. You look FABULOUS!
-
Thanks. You girls rock!
-
Marg-That was fantastic!!!!!! You are so clear and articulate about a disease that tries to tear your life apart.
We are so very proud of you!
Speaking of being proud of our sisters, where is our Nancy? (you know, one of our other "celebs").
I love the Wii Fit SOOOOO much, btw. I am eating so much better, and my weight is crawling downwards ever so slowly, but I feel really good, and I can see shape in my bod again.
One thing that is weird......my foobs kinda hurt when I do the hula hoop!
Daniel looked at me when I announced that to Greg the other day and pointed to his nipple area. "Is this pointy thing a foob?" he asked.
"No, honey.....that is a....(oh boy, do I say the real name? Of course I do? Daniel knows that Mommy had breast cancer. No reason to hide the name of a nipple) nipple." I replied.
He looked at me with disbelief and almost pity.
"No it isn't, Mommy. It's a pimple." -
Happy New Year Sisters! I would like to tell you that my absence was because there was no access to Internet on the K2 summit, or that I had been whisked away by trolls and held captive under an Irish bridge, or was on the Mud Wrestling World Tour, but the truth is much more mundane and inexcuseable. I have no excuse at all. MIA.
You know how in some families, you may not be in touch with a sibling for some weeks/months, but the bond and the love is as strong as ever. I hope you will think of me that way, as I think of all of you. I seem to have limited emotional and physical resources right now.
I love your pictures and your stories. I will come back as soon as I can. Stay well and be happy.
Nancy

A pimple?????????
That is hilarious, Deb. I hope you wrote that down somewhere so you can remind him whe his older.
Nancy - glad to see you. If you don't want to post, email me so we can stay in touch. I'm just a few key strokes away.
A group of bc friends and I decided enough of the extra fat around the waist. So, we have joined forces to fight the fat! This is our third week and although week two was touch we got through it. So far so good. I've lost 7 lbs just by counting calories. Now, I just need to add some exercise so I can really burn the fat. I'll keep you posted.
-
Nancy it is so good to see you, you always bring us a smile. I miss my sisters when they go MIA. Makes me worry....BTW, Lat it is time.....
WTG with the weight loss fight. Michael has lost , me , I am going down very slowly. Here is something to keep in mind at your next weigh in.
-
Girls we have lost another sister here on the boards.
Alaska Deb is now an angel.....
I hate this beast more and more each day. I feel
so bad for her girls and John.
-
NONONONONONONONONONONONONO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh no. Oh no. I don't even know what to say. It seems the more we are on the boards, the harder it is to deal with losing a sister. Thanks for telling us, ML.
-
Words can not describe the ache in my heart. She was such an inspiration to so many. Not fair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
-
Still in shock.
-
What a sad day. I am still in my night gown and can't find the energy to get going eventhough I want to visit dad in the hospital. He is having his kidney stone removed this morning. I just can't face anyone right now. Selfish I know...just feel too sad and overwhelmed.
-
Deb would not want you to be sad. She was an incredible woman and I will miss her.
-
Deb was indeed an incredible woman. I hold my hands out to each of you.

So, Daniel has been home sick for two days and driving me rather crazy. Just now he stops in his tracks.
"What was that, Mommy?" Daniel looks at me from his sea of cars.
"What are you talking about, Daniel?" I ask, absentmindedly.
"I heard a HHHOOOONNNNNKKKKKK!!!!!!........It was you! You were TOOTING!"
Appalled at first, I insisted, "No I wasn't!"
However, something made me stop and think, "is that what it sounds like when I DO toot?"
-
You just got to love them at that age.
-
DEB!!!!!!!!! That is so funny I burst out into laughter....Michael said, what is so funny? I could hardly read him the post. We needed a good laugh.
Ody ~ I miss your red dress avatar , it was so young and flirty.
Hope all my sisters are doing well. I have to be on a low carb diet b/c of the diabetes. Grrrrr
But it seems to really make a difference in the way I feel. Not tired so much anymore. And I have lost a little weight. Just a little, but I have more hope now.

I'll be sort of watching: sitting with hubs and little dog, probably quilting and watching the commercials. I like the party atmosphere of it all....
-
Anna, we went to my step daughters for the game , party food and dinner was good. I stuck to my plan which was good for me. The low carbs thing is pretty easy....
Hugs to all my sisters....

ODY ~ How cold are you down south? We were about 12 degrees when I got up this morning at 8:30. The sun is bright on a small snow we got a few days ago. I need sun glasses for sure.
What about the rest of you?????
-
Hello from cold South FL. We woke up to 32 degrees and some frost on the windshields. Our high has been in the 50's. Brrrrrrrrr...we don't have clothes for this kind of weather.
-
A baby!!!! Yay! Congrats, and post pics!
My baby is ALL boy lately. He actually stuck his hand by his bum yesterday and then sniffed his hand to investigate. OMG.
This one is a bit more graphic, but innocent enough. He told Greg yesterday that he calls his, umm....boys.....his p*nis stripes (because all the veins are so visible).
Oh my.....it only gets better, doesn't it?! PS, we switched to his afternoon class, and I HATE the new schedule. HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PPS-I don't know if you saw, but Annie (HeatherBLocklear) passed away rather suddenly. Enough, already!!!!
-
Not another sister, was it the cancer that took her?
Yes another boy, he will be born in June. My step daughter....
ODY, wow that is very cold for you all..... Hope it warms up soon.
-
Congrats MaryLou. Wow, your family is realy growing lately. That is great!
-
Congratulations Mary Lou! Yep, it's cold here too, but today we're going up into the 50s. Two days ago we only got up to 26 and the chill factor was way below that. Little dog has to wear a coat when she goes out to pee......
-
Anna, it is warmer here today. I think we are going to the beach this week end....We need to get away.... I have an uncle I want to go see at Myrtle Beach...
-
Yay! I am going up to visit my little heartthrob this coming weekend! Through WEDNESDAY! I am so excited!
