Mary-Anne, I am feeling better, too. I have not heard anything, so no news is good news. I remember when I had my mammo the first time, it was 3 days later and they called me on the phone to get me back in for an u/s. It's now been a complete 7 days and no news. Yeah!!
-
Mary-Anne, Good new's, whewwww, what a relief. I got new's for you, I am one of those achey people and I am a little paranoid already..lol... but am figuring I pulled something in my back at least I hope so. You are lucky your ONC saw you right away when I called about my hip a few months ago they acted like they could care less and it wasn't their problem and that I should call my PP.
-
Kelly, we were posting at the same time. I think you are right they would have called you so it look's like good new's for you too. Yeah....
-
Graycie, sometimes it pays to have the little md after my name. LOL.
Kelly, I think they would have dragged you back by now too. So just good news on V and we are all set. Where is the Party?
We care Graycie and thanks for the Birthday card, I received it today.
Fists up! -
Hello:
Enjoyed catching up just now. Sorry to read of aches and pain for some of us. I wonder if it is just a function of getting older, at least for me. I don't heal up as well as I once did. Some time ago, I fell forward on the ice, and wrenched my left arm. The bicep was so sore for a couple of days I could hardly lift my arm. Slowly, it has healed, but I still get an aching when I'm tired (like now.) Over the last few years I have had similar things happen to my right shoulder, my hip, and my knee. I'm no spring chicken and the healing takes longer, I think.
Ants, ants . . . we get them every spring. They are attracted to the peonies in front of our house. My husband sprays around the door and all along the porch. they eat the peonies and I'm always looking for a good way to keep them off the flowers. Who wants flowers with big chewed holes in them?
Bad news for my friend and her daughter. Yesterday her heart rate was very high and so there was much concern for her. They were planning to begin chemo in the afternoon, but had to postpone, and didn't get it started until late, after 11 pm. I worry so much that chemo is going to be very dangerous for her. I also found out that the thing that landed her in ICU a week ago was during her endoscopy a vein in her neck was severed. I suppose in sending the tube down her throat something went wrong. Does that make sense, Mary Anne and Victoria? I was wondering if that was possible. I heard this story third-hand, so I don't know how much truth there is in it.
Our congregation has a phone-tree in place and when the call goes out everyone is asked to prayer especially for this young lady. I receivee such a call last night. At church on Sunday, one of the men who has been especially close to this family used an analogy I really liked about prayer. He told how he had been to a concert recently and while everyone was warming up, the different instruments were just doing their own thing. Then when the conductor came out and they began to play together, there was beauty and power in the blended voices of the instruments. He said that prayer is like this. Individually, paying for our own concerns, we are doing our own thing, so to speak. When a group, like our congregation joins all together, in prayer for a specific purpose, there is real power in the combined prayers of many. I don't really know how prayer works, I just know that it does. I have heard of researchers who are trying to understand the power of prayer in healing. I am getting curious to do a literature search and see what they are doing.
Of course, I also wonder if my intellectual curiosity is a way to distance myself from the sadness and worry. There is probably truth in that. My husband and I talked last night and he revealed that now, and also when I was in treatment, he can only think about this for a short time. He said, "I just have to think about and focus on something else." Like we have seen, this is a burden that few loved ones can carry. I do not fault him, that is how he is.
I have had prayer in my heart all day and will probably continue through the night. If nothing else, my concerns are being voiced and I believe, heard by God. It is hard to accept the consequences of "Thy will be done" but that is all I can think of . . .
Thanks for listening, my dear, understanding sisters,
Mary -
Good Evening sweet sisters,
It is finally spring here, yah! Today the temps hit 21 celcius and all the snow is gone, bye bye winter for another season. I booked Friday off as a vacation day as it is suppose to be 15 and want to get some more stuff done around the house and then have an extra day of rest.
Once I am finished writing my thoughts for today I am going out to clean up the outside of the house especially in the garden and pick some twings up off the grass.
Debbie444 never heard of a lotus Sunbeam before you will have to post a picture. I love your British sayings, what does your cellar not tanked mean?
Laura I seem to have spurts of energy, more on the weekend then during the week as I get a chance to sleep a bit more. Sometimes I do overdo it though, I am a go getter by nature and like to get stuff done. My hubby sometimes is a procrastonator and it drives me silly and I tell him too.LOL Thanks for thinking of me, I am fine just busy. I got home from work last night and took the dogs for an hour walk, made dinner and then sat down with hubby for a bit when he came home from work and then went to sleep at 9:15 p.m., the evenings go quickly.
Are you talking about my remodeled love shack or the new house that we buy? Yes we did have fun on Saturday, it is nice to laugh and forget about all your worries, laughter is healthy too!!
That was too much of a close call with the tire, thankfully no was hurt including yourselves. We always seem to have someone break down or go into the ditch close to our house in the winter, it must be some sort of a magnet. I wouldnt be caught dead playing with a chainsaw, you are brave. I would have a few limbs missing kinda like our sister Debbie.
Gracyie I will post before and after pictures of the kitchen. I take one immovane before bed as the Armidex, and Zoladex injections and general menopausal symptoms do not allow me to get a good nights rest let alone fall asleep. I have tried the natural route with Melatonin, Valerian, you name it and nothing as worked except for the immovane. I have been taking it for about a year now with my GPs blessing, she said it is more important to get a good nights rest. Its funny that you should mention that you dont remember talking to your grandson when you took the sleeping pill cause someone can actually call me on the phone after I have taken mine and I wont remember the conversation at all. I have even hung up on my brother in laws wife while talking to her and didnt remember. I usually take it an hour before bed so I warn anyone of my family if they want me to do something intelligent after 9:00 p.m. during the week forget it. I do not have that hangover feeling or dopiness though that are often associated with sleeping pills, immovane does not have a long shelf life (I think that is what it is called).
Cindy your bike ride sounds faboulous. I always enjoyed lying on the grass and looking up at the sky when my sisters and I were little. Today would have been a great day for a bike ride, too bad I had to work! Looking forward to meeting you in August.
Kelly you are welcome to come over this weekend to serve drinks, what a great offer.LOL. When do you think you can be here? Teryn sounds like such a cutey, cant wait to meet her, is she coming with you in August? Hoping for great news on your mamo results, it sounds if you havent heard anything yet, that no news is good news!
TracySeattle you are just practicing staying up late for our get together in August, oh what a party all us sisters are going to have!!
Amy one year we had an infestion of lady bugs, yuk gross. I found a dead mouse in our basement when I was cleaning up on the weekend and I screamed and threw the mouse trap down. Like the mouse was really going to harm me.LOL. Glad to hear that the vinegar worked. My hubby has his pesticide licenses used to do that for a living prior to meeting him, he had his own business for a few years.
Brenda I have some aches too especially in my knees and legs and yes I cant believe I will be finished chemo almost 1 year ago, time has flown quickly. Do you have any plans for spring break?
Maryanne your description of the ants marching in a row was so cute, made me smile from ear to ear. I made an appt for Friday to get my hair trimmed, dont know what I;m going to do yet. Will post a new avtar on the weekend to show you what it looks like. I hope that your son is feeling better, sorry about your white carpet, hopefully you were able to get the stains out. Glad to hear that you got good news, so many of us here have lympodema sleeves, I knew the risk of getting it was much higher than my surgeon led me to believe ---he said 15-20%! I agree on the Tim Hortons coffee, no matter what time I leave in the morning have to make my daily stop for my Timmies. Would love to have some spare money to invest in a franchise in our small town of 8,000 people we could use two of them!
Paula I have those duh moments all the time, at least your hair is squeaky clean now.
Deb I found my way out of the corner ..flying coackroaches, I think I would have a heart attack if I saw one of them! Dont stress yourself out too much with your Passover preparations, take time to smell the roses, do you have roses in Isarel?
Victoria enjoy your new intoxicating environment. It sounds like a great neighbourhood! I find myself forcing my husband to get rid of furniture that is stored in our basement, he is such a pack rat and wants to keep everything, argh .Praying for good news on your labs. You are a fighter and a true miracle of modern medicine. The trip to Africa and Asia sounds like a huge undertaking but the satisfaction will be what you get out of it.
Cathy how much driving do you do in a month? Driving makes me so tired, my maximum driving time without fatigue is 4 hours. Have a safe trip home.
Mary glad to hear that your young friend is doing a little better. I will keep her in my thoughts. Your other bc friend sounds like she has been through the ringer, thankfully she went to seek medical help before it was too late.
TracyNy St Martin sounds like heaven. I love the islands, Jamaica being our favourite!
You are so fun .keep it up sister you make me smile with your fun little remarks.
Have a super evening, off to have something to eat and clean up the backyard!
Love to all my dear sistersJ
Michele -
Oh, just as I finished sending the previous message my husband called to tell me that we had a message at home.
My friend's daughter died this afternoon. Apparently, the chemo was too much for her heart or perhaps the cancer had damanged her too much. I do not know. I am stunned by this news. It has all happened so quickly.
I'll called my leader in the youth group. We are discussing whether to have the meeting as planned tomorrow. It seems to me that letting the youth speak, mourn, cry, or whatever would be good. But, it is not my decision to make. I'll support whatever the leaders decide. Her younger sister is in my class currently, so I will have much opportunity in the future I think to serve, and love, and help her.
I'm still at work. Stayed late to catch up on some tasks.
It's going to be a long drive home.
What a terrible, terrible day.
Mary -
OMG - That is just horrible! I am so sorry. That was so fast and so tragic! Hang in there...I know you're hurting.
On Saturday, I sent you a gift to deliver to her - it's just a Beanie Baby Bunny and a get well card. You'll probably receive it today or tomorrow (I sent it UPS). Once you receive it, can you please give the Bunny to one of the kids at your church or keep it for yourself as a remembrance of her. -
Oh Mary - what can i say? My immediate feeling is that her young life wasnt marred by a long drawn out illness, that she only knew for a short while. That i know will be of no use to those who knew and loved her. I am sure you are going to be a great comfort to her family, just like you are to us.
Will post later when i can think a little better
Debbie -
Mary ---I have so heart sick to her this news! She did pass so suddenly, God has taken another angel. My deepest condolences to you and her family. Words cannot express what you must be feeling right now.
We are all there in spirit with you thru this terrible tragedy.
Love
Your bc sister
Michele -
Mary, that is terrible news, so sorry for the loss of this wonderful young person.
Yesterday was the funeral of a 59 year old woman (I know her just to say hello)in Toronto - she had her first BC diagnosis 12 years ago, then a recurrence some years later, and then again 2 years ago.
Maryanne, I am very happy for your good news. I liked Tim Hortons, but the hospital where I was treated had a very busy Tim Hortons in the lobby, and my husband and I would always get a drink there. Believe it or not, now I don't get Tim Hortons anymore (Second Cup now) because of the association - how crazy is that!
Talking about ants, etc. My married daughter in New York had cockroaches in her old house (one time only, but it was bad) and in this house, she has flying crickets in the basement. My married son in an apartment has had roaches, and my son in college saw a mouse in his dorm room. New York is terrible for vermin, people regularly see rats on the subway.
Linda -
Oh Mary! I am so sorry! how utterly tragic! Praying for peace for the family and friends.
MaryAnne - happy for your good report but now I'm paranoid. I've had pain in my hip and knees since chemo. It's always worse at night. eek... since I started exercising I have actually felt much better though.
I always sit at the computer at the worse possible times...I need to go make sure everyone's actually in their beds - hearing lots of "non-bedtime" noises... -
Mary, I was responding to your old post and I just saw your new post as I was getting ready to send it .OMG, I am in shock. I want to express my heartfelt sympathy. I can't believe she went so fast. .....I am so sorry for your loss.
Mary-Anne, I am glad you finally got my card. I am sorry it was late.
Michele, Now I know why you have so much energy. You get a good nights sleep. I should get some of those pill's. lol...What I have is Halcion but I try not to take them too often because I think they are habit forming. Actually this is the first time I took one since chemo. I haven't felt as tired lately but the weather has also been nice. I think that helps. It was 70 today (not sure what that is in Celsius) my dh and I have been going on a lot of walks and I actually have a lot more energy.
BTW, I would scream to if I saw a mouse in my house, dead or alive.......
V, any new's on your tests? BTW, did you say you were asked to go to Africa and Asia? Why does your ONC want you to go? Do they have some new treatment over there he wants you to try?
Well, better run, my DH want's me to go watch a movie. Anyone see the "Pursuit to Happyness?" with Will Smith. I know it is going to be a tear jerker. Actually I picked it -
Mary....I was so surprised to see your post! I'm so sorry for your friend and for you. I'm keeping you and her family in my thoughts. I'm sure you are strength to her family. Don't forget to take care of yourself in all of it too. I'm thinking of you!
Michele....lady bugs are good luck!
Victoria...you hang in there. when are you going to find out on your tests?
I wanted to share this really cool website: http://postsecret.blogspot.com/ This guy, Frank Warren, has people write down their secrets and send it to him anonymously. He learned through his own therapy about the burden of keeping the secrets of his childhood, etc. I love this website. The things people send in are pretty powerful. He updates his website every Sunday. My client introduced me to him...she actually gave me his book, which contains the most recent postcards he got. She met him at a speech he gave and had him autograph his book for me. She told me I keep her secrets and she trusts me, so she got me the book. I cried after the session...most precious thing a client has given me. I was so touched. Just wanted to share the website because I think it's really great. Might even submit a secret of mine -
Mary, this is horrible news... i hope she didnt suffer... but she is at peace now.
I had some blood tests to check my thyroid function yesterday. Despite strictest diet and daily excercise i keep putting on weight. Its too damn frustrating... so i should know results in a couple of days. I nearly hope that underactive thyroid might be a problem. Otherwise.. i give up.
gotta get back to work... thinking about you all girls. Take care -
Oh Mary, I am so, so sorry. I wish I was there to give you a big hug and cry with you. We are all here for you, I love you, sister.....
Lots of prayers and love coming your way..... -
http://www.conwasa.demon.co.uk/bottle.htm
This guy writes your fears, thoughts etc down and throws them into the sea in a bottle - have a look. There was a peice on the news about him. He says people use him to 'rid themselves of secrets' -
Mary..I pm'd you but just wanted to add my condolences here on the thread. I'm so sad about this. In my mind, I really felt she was going to be okay and was just going through the most difficult part and had complications. It brings me back to earth just a bit and makes me realize once again that we have no control over what will happen for the most part. It takes me out of Denial Land for a while....
Mary Anne..that is good news.
Kelly..what is happening?
V..? more hotflashes! YES! All is relative here.
Same for the pains, Graycie and all the rest...hoping for arthritis, bursistis or whatever else!
Amy..touching story. I love it.
Linda..I'm sorry about that woman..another ticket out of Denial Land for me...ugh.
Paula..good luck. I eat very little these days because I'm so stressed and I haven't lost anything. That is very unusual for me. I usually lose weight when I'm stressed and then gain it back afterwards. I'm guessing it's the menopause. First time in menopause and under a lot of stress.
Michele..I'm getting to the point here where I think I'll be just fine this weekend as I get the last of the details in order and begin the cooking on Sat. night. I just can't believe I'm cooking so much food for Monday night. I've never had to cook so much at one time though we have barbecues here in the summer a lot for a lot of people but that is so different. We do it outside, it's informal and most of it is the meat on the grill that my dh will cook. The holiday cooking is like catering! So many things to think about! -
Ladybugs - Ladybirds?? I dont like , they bring me out in a rash !
Its a beautiful day , top down on the car , a SKIRT instead of trousers - i think SPRING is here - WooHoo!!
Deb - you should wear beaded and sparkly things. I never did before, now my jeans jangle when i walk and my work shoes have sequins on!!
Off to charge the camera batteries for photos for Laura. -
I love ladybugs, Debbie. I remember once in the summer when I was a little girl (definitely under the age of 11 as it was in our first house)I found a ladybug and brought it in the house. I wanted a pet. My parents wouldn't allow pets (hence I have thousands of cats and always at least one dog now!)so I wanted to keep this ladybug as a pet. It was summer and I was in my summer pj's and I had the ladybug by the screen of my bedroom window. My mom told me the ladybug wouldn't last the night like that and needed to live outside or else it would die. Well, I didn't want THAT to happen so I took it outside and ceremoniously put it on the trunk of the tree in our yard and cried my eyes out!
Yes..I'm planning on buying new jeans with sparkly stuff on them this year! I need new jeans and that is my goal..or at least embroidery. When I was in college I embroidered on my jeans. When the kids were little I painted their T-shirts. I now paint on kippot (religious skull caps) and I use sparkly paints so the light will catch it. I have a beaded thingy hanging from my cell phone and I have it sticking out of my bag :-)
V...no internet when you move? hmmmmmmmmm...I'm not happy with that! When will you be permanently moved? Pm me your new address...
What do you mean 3 meals with bread after cleaning the leaven out? Once the leaven is cleaned out there are no more meals with bread. we can't eat the regular matzah until the seder but I have egg matzah and whole wheat matzah once my house is cleaned totally which will be on Sat night this year so I can cook and get ready. Once I start cooking I'll be fine. It's the preparing. And I found a new table cloth today and bought wine glasses so all is well with the world.
Basically, removing the leaven is to clean the house thoroughly, under the fridge and stove, in ever cabinet and then there is a little ceremony where you take bread crumbs and use a feather to get the last ones and then you burn them. That's the end of the leaven. We generally "sell" our non- Passover foods to a gentile and then buy them back after the holiday, or give them away for charity to the needy. We are eating all of ours up. No gentiles in my area to do that with. -
Wow Deb - I had no idea! Sounds like you'll need a vacation after the holiday!! I know you had said it was a lot of work but I truly did not know all that it entailed!
Amy - that was a very sweet story! You're awesome!
Debbie - good luck with your interview! Enjoy the weather!
It's rainy today but has been gorgeous! It's going to get really gross and cold...just in time for the kid's spring break
Have a great day everyone
Mary - I'm keeping you and the family of the young girl in my prayers. -
Mary, Ive just read your post this morning concerning your young friend. My words are never adequate to express my feelings. I too wish I could be there to hug you. Please know that I will continue to keep you and this young girls family in my thoughts today. I know how much comfort you will be to her family because your words always bring comfort here.
I have a very busy day but will try to post later to catch up.
Much love sisters. -
Mary..hugs to you...
RoseMarie...I hate this season. though the holiday is a nice holiday. Though the main name of it is Passover, it is also known as the Holiday of Freedom and The Holiday of Spring. It's really spring cleaning. Some people go crazy and I remember my friend telling me when we all first moved to Israel that her neighbors were washing down the outside of their house. We were like...HUH???? It's not necessary. You are supposed to get mainly the kitchen spotless and then do your regular cleaning and get all the foods out that aren't for Passover. That means checking every bedroom and especially the TV room and cleaning out my purse which has gum and sugarless candies that aren't kosher for Passover. I take this time to clean out parts of the house that would otherwise not get cleaned. I do this for another holiday coming up, too. But I just cleaned out my laundry room. Boy that felt good! The garbage trucks come more often this week because everybody throws out a lot of stuff at this time.
Since I'm the only one in the family that keeps kosher, I am cooking all the food. Usually everybody brings one or two dishes. So, I have a lot of cooking to do! The guests are bringing the wine and soft drinks. We drink a lot of wine on the evening that the holiday starts. We do a ceremony and retell the story of how the Israelites got out of Egypt. There are a lot of rituals we do and it's fun..all pertains to drinking wine and eating symbolic foods. I'll take a picture of my table if I remember, before the guests arrive so you can see the hand painted Passover plate (painted by my friend..I'm borrowing it)that I'll have on the table with some other ritual items.
But you are right. It's tons of work and I'll need a break afterwards. The holiday lasts a week so I will feel justified to go to the beach and do my walks and enjoy myself! Half of Israel leaves the country for this holiday since it's a week long and a lot of people like to avoid famiy gatherings. I hear people saying that... -
Thanks to everyone for your kind sympathies regarding the death of my friend's daughter, Natalie. She would have been 17 on her birthday next week. Her parents sent a message to friends last night and they described her as angelic. That is true. A different close friend, with boys near the same age, came to meet me for lunch today and we remembered Natalie with fondness and sadness, of course. We agreed that one lesson of this experience, of the many there will be, is that we always need to concentrate on our families and remember always to tell them we love them. So I hope, today, and everyday, you are telling your beloved families of your love for them and showing them your love. It can all be over so quickly and your chances just dissolve away.
I'll be back later,
Mary -
Mary I am so sorry for your loss. A child you have taught and cared for has died so young. There is no positive thing to say. It is so devastating for all involved. My daughter is 17, I could not begin to imagine life without her.
Linny, that is quite a list of pests. At the moment I live with 3 kids and one dog. If there are any creatures they are very sneaky and I haven't met them yet. But I do ahve quite a moth story....another day.
R, it sounds like you have to fight for time too. The kids keep me busy too but I find as they age it is less demanding so do get a little free time for me.
Graycie, how did you like The pursuit of Happiness? It sounds like a feel good, happy Movie, the title any way. I brought Patrick with me, he couldn't follow what was happening and found the story disturbing. I felt tense and on edge for most of it.
Amy I heard the post secret idea on the radio, haven't gone to the site yet. Sounds interesting. Now, which secret would I send???
Paula, as much as it is nice to have a reason for your weight gain I hope you don't have thyroid disease. It is eay to treat but , who needs another problem? And any way I have seen pics of both you and Ravdeb and both of you Do Not seem to have any extra weight.
Debbie, I bought a jingly purse too, and my latest jeans have some sequins on the waist.
Laura, I loved the pics of Roy with his toy and you with your mean machine. Keep smiling!
I got my labs back today--every single number was in normal range. I almost feel like canceling the bone scan but..my hip still hurts. No appointment yet. Did you get your labs V?
Fists up! -
Hi Girls,
Not that we need any more bad news here, but my Mom's best friend called me today to tell me she was dx'd w/Colon cancer. She's an incredible woman with a heart of gold. Needless to say, my Mom and I are devastated. Next week they're removing a portion of her Colon and even if they get clean margins she'll most likely still have to have chemo, but hopefully she won't have to have the bag attached for bm's - I think it's called a colonostimy (?). I was in tears, when she told me the strength and determination I displayed during my dx/surgery/chemo, etc, is what's going to enable her to make it through all this. She said I am the wind beneath her wings. She visited me quite often when I was sick from chemo, and she always gave me foot massages (my favorite thing!) and every week she sent me at least 2 greeting cards with words of encouragement. It's my turn to help her - but it will be hard - she just recently retired to her cottage in Wisconsin - it's about 4 hours away. But of course I'll do my best. Just last week she bought a puppy - I think he will help her through as well. The news of Tony Snow's colon ca recurrence isn't helping right now. Her nick-name is Pip...please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
----------------------------
On a happier note:
Hope you're all doing well. I'm still crazy busy. The basement's coming along nicely. Drywall is almost done. We still have plumbing and finish carpentry and carpet and tile, and... but the good thing is that we don't need to have it finished by a certain date. So I'm not stressing out about it...just taking it day by day, tradesman by tradesman...
---------------------------------------
mary -
Hang in there.
Debbie -
I can't wait to see the shoes...
-------------------------------------------
PASSOVER -
For those of you that celebrate this holiday, I hope it's joyful and spiritually fulfilling. ravdeb - I like the wine part of it! Can I stop by?
--------------------------------------------
CHAINSAW SAFETY WARNINGS -
Thanks girls for all the "Laura, be careful" messages. Just so you know...we attended a chainsaw safety class at our local fire department when we first moved to the forest. An accident still can happen, but highly unlikely. Skill and precision is everything! LOL -
Mary-Anne -
We were posting at the same time...great lab report! I would feel the same about considering the cancelation of your bone scan, but then every time your hip hurts, you will probably wish you hadn't canceled it...at least that's how I would be. Hmmmmmm... -
Laura, I am so sorry about your Mom's friend. That is special that she thinks you are the wind beneath her wings. I agree you are a strong person and that is wonderful that you are able to give her the strength and courage she needs. It sound's like she was able to help you too which is nice. Foot massage, wow, I would have loved that.
Maryanne, I wasn't crazy about the movie. I think I was expecting it to be better. It was more SAD than Happy.
Mary, Very good advice. I do try and make sure my family know's how much I love them because like you said, you just never know. -
laura....i'm sorry about your mom's friend! use the strength that you got from her during your treatment to give it back to her. she'll get through this. i feel like there are so many people with cancer now...it is scary. that being said...it doesn't mean that cancer wins. medicine is getting better and we're going to start winning.
i think i'm going to send in my secret to that site i mentioned. here's my secret...i'll share it with my rocktober girls. my secret is: i'm scared that breast cancer is going to make me be remembered as a tragedy.
it's a heavy thought that is always in the back of my mind, but it's one that i just try to keep to the side in order to move forward, which i think i do pretty well. i live my life, i love my life, my husband and i are madly in love (had a dinner by candelight in the backyard last night with wine...so romantic) and my family and friends are amazing. but, i still fear that breast cancer will eventually take that away from me and i'll be remembered as a tragedy.
and then i think that and i get pissed at breast cancer and at having that thought...and i eat right, exercise right, find my faith, etc. and think....breast cancer is NOT going to get the last word in my life. so, at least i get my feeling of empowerment back when i really think about my secret. i think i'll still send it in to that postsecret site.
i saw one of the secrets in the book my client gave me that said, "i think i have breast cancer but i'm too scared to get my lump checked." how scary.
i have some other secrets, but will keep those to myself and send them in too racy for our boards! -
congrats on your lab results, maryanne! i'm serious...waiting for results suck, but there is nothing better than getting good results
