Watching anything good this season?

I don't know about you guys, but sometimes I question my skills as a mother, wondering, hoping I did a good job. Watched this show called "Here comes Honey Boo-Boo". Man, oh man....watch an episode of that....you'll feel like the best mom in the world! Nothing like feeding your overweight kids cookies, twinkies and pixie sticks, making disgusting comments in front of them, and exploiting your family for a few bucks. It was like rubber-necking a train wreck....you have to look and feel bad for watching. Yuck.
-
remember that lily-of-the-Valley plant that was in the little boy's hospital room who died? And then in the last espisode last season, it zoomed in on that plant in the backyard by their pool? Do you think maybe that plant will enter in?
-
His DEA brotherinlaw or his wife. Good point about the plant maybe Jessie will take him out in the end.

I have gotten hooked on Wife Swap and Trading Places. I think the producers deliberately try to match opposites to make the show more exciting. They matched a vegan family with a family that hunts deer. OMG,then they matched a fundamentalist Christian family with a family that had horror drawings on the wall and college aged daughter that was sleeping with every rock band in town. I think being on a reality series would be my worse nightmare or at least as bad as BC. At least the BC can be as private as I want it to be. My second worst thing was finding out the vehicle I have has bad joints and needs to replace at $1000 and worst was the manufacturer did it that way with no boots to hold in the grease so you would have to replace the part!! I am thinking just get a new vehicle!!
Dont all the new fall shows start premiering in Sept? Anyone gonna watch Steve Harvey? I also heard that True Blood will going off til they film some new episodes.
bevvg, you got a hematoma on your chest? Wow,are you ok now? What did the docs do to resolve it? Sounds dangerous. Was that after the TE or the mx? The Dowton Abbey commercial looked interesting but I cant figure out when its on. Wanted to see what it was like, did u see it? any good?
-
I watched that Honey Boo Boo thing once and man, it's like child abuse. Giving her energy drinks on pagent days?? I think I read that the ex husband is now suing for custody because of the exploitation of that kid.
How will BB end. That question really has me thinking. My first choice would be a showdown between him and Hank where they both end up dead. Jessie finding out that he poisoned the kid then getting revenge is another or Skylar getting revenge somehow sounds good. I am sorry to say this but dying of lung cancer seems to easy, at least as far as the writing on this show goes. I don't want it to end yet can't wait to see what happens. and I agree, we need more Saul. He is the best character ever... Slimy and funny..
-
This evening's episode is not over yet, but right now I am applauding Jesse for walking out on Walt, money or no money. I don't think Walt could do much to make me like him again. And that Todd, I think he is a big boob....probably a poor choice of words on BCO, that that is what I think of him.
-
Aw Mike, Mike, Mike. Didn't see that one coming. I guess now that it's ending, the characters will have to drop one by one. The new lawyer guy seriously lacks Saul's greasy charm.
-
Here's how I think it will all end.
Jesse is going to find out that Walt killed Mike (and poisoned Brock). He and Skyler will both want Walt dead. Jesse will kill Walt with Skyler's blessing/help and he will continue cooking to help out Skyler and the kids ('cos that's the kind of guy I think he is).
We should start a pool!
-
...and I think Walt will just disappear in a "Barrel".
-
Please, what is BB? I am sure you don't mean Big Brother.
I bet you all already know this, Grey's anatomy is back!! I had just discovered the series and thought the plane crash was the end of the series. Boy I was steamed over that and I am so glad I was wrong!!!! I really like the show, improbable as it is.

BB is "Breaking Bad". Not everyone's taste, but I think it's the only show on tv worth watching.
It's on AMC Sunday nights and is soon coming to an end this winter. Previous seasons can be found on Netflix if you want to check it out. -
Where do I start..regular viewing season~Greys Anatomy, the Good Wife, Parenthood Criminal Minds, the Mentalist, Private Practice, 21/2 Men, Raising Hope, American Idol, Revenge, Pretty Little Liars, and the Middle.
On sindication or off seasons....Breaking Bad, Justified, Hell on Wheels, Rookie Blue, So You Think You Can Dance, Major Crimes ( now that the Closer has ended ), Army Wives, OH!!! And how could I forget BIGGEST LOSER???
I love a good drama, and I'm sick of all this reality t.v.
Blessings

OMGoodness....I haven't seen the last episode of BB yet. I shouldn't have read the posts. Oh well, I can't say I'm surprised. Mike was a force to be reckoned with.
Jesse does have a heart. I can see him helping skylar & the kids.
I loved the episode last season when Gus finally met his end. Great writing.
My DH thinks Walt & Jesse will both die. Maybe they'll get careless and the meth lab will blow up. I hate to see anything bad happen to Jesse.
Blessings
Paula -
For sure....I think everyone wants Jesse to "win". I already have ideas about the final scene running through my mind.

(After Jesse takes care of Todd)
Walt: (while having a gun held to his face) "Who made you? I MADE YOU!"
Jesse: (shaking like a leaf) "Nobody else is going to die, except you, B**TTCCHH". (pulls trigger, gets barrel, shows up at Skyler's)....and Scene!
Holy Cow, I can't wait to see how the final scene will actually be written. If it's anything like all the other season-enders, we're in for a real shocker. Can't even really guess.
Tough to say goodbye to such a great show. I hope Gilligan's next offering is as good....but once you've been at the very top, where do you go from there?
P.S. How's "Justified"? Been thinking of starting that one.
-
Gracie..Justified is awesome too!
I just watched the latest episode of BB. Poor Mike! I liked him. I liked his respect of Jesse, and his love of his Grandaughter.oh well, that's life in t.v, but I will be very upset if anything happens to Jesse!
Walt didn't kill the boy. He's still alive. That's the son of Jesse's girlfriend. Or former girlfriend. He recovered. That was her younger brother who was killed. Shot by Gus' people.
I think there are a couple more episodes of this season. It's supposed to end in mid-September. Then come back for 8 more episodes in the winter.
Blessings

Girls, last year my husband watched the first 3 seasons of Breaking Bad on Netflix after hearing how good it was. I watched from time to time, keeping a loose eye on the story. At times it was so dramatic I couldn't handle it. Husband eventually got season 4 from the library and had to watch all those episodes in one week's time. I was often in the living room watching it that week. BEST TV I EVER SAW!!!!!! Season 4 was simply amazing. Best part was, the next week, season 5 started. Have been watching each week now.
I don't think Jesse will ever find out exactly what happened to Mike or his ex-girlfriend's kid, but he knows what WW is capable of. I think Hank will be caught up in a family dilemna concerning his wife, Skyler, the kids and Walt. I've read that the movie Scarface that they've alluded to several times may play a part in the show. At one point, WW is watching it and says, "They all die!" So we'll see.
-
I can't believe BB is over until next summer.... I can't wait. That final scene with Hank on the toilet and you just see the realization on his face. Boy oh boy, how will THAT play out. I believe WW has cancer again so he's opting out and back to a normal life but that ain't gonna happen with the DEA still on him. Now he's got so many murders on his hands (Mike, the 9 guys in jail and the lawyer, the kid Todd killed by the train. ).... Todd is gonna have to go but then Todd's uncle sure looked scary. It's a crapshoot how it's gonna end next summer. My bet is showdown between Hank and Walt but what happens to all the other characters. I, too, love Jessie but in reality, he is not exactly a good guy. He did kill Gale....All I know is it's the best show ever.... Happily Dexter and Boardwalk Empire are coming back soon then can't wait for the next season of Downton Abbey and more Mad Men which I'm catching up to on Netflix.
-
Who do you think the vile of ricin is for? (the one Walt hid behind the electrical wall-plate this last episode). I immediately thought he was going to kill Skyler. Not likely, but it was the first thing that crossed my mind. Todd maybe? Lydia? (I don't like her character). Gawd, I hope not Jesse....I couldn't bear to watch if he was killed.
Divine....you should really watch every episode from the beginning. So many great moments in each episode.
-
The ricin was under his hat when he met Lydia the last time. His intent, I believe, was to slip it into her coffee, but they came to an agreement, so he took it home & hid it.
The ex girlfriend's son is not dead. Remember a few weeks ago when Walt was at Jesse's when the girlfriend and her son came in from the grocers? The boy sat on the sofa beside Walt playing a video game. That was her younger brother who was shot by Gus' people a season or 2 ago.
I'm looking forward to the return of my fall shows, especially PARENTHOOD! Does anyone watch JUSTIFIED?
Thank you Marybe for starting this thread. Prayers going to the FATHER on your behalf.
Blessings
Paula -
It wouldn't surprise me if Walt would end up taking the ricin at the end. I don't think he'd do Skyler in. Or Jesse. But of course, Jesse didn't know what Walt was up to when he knocked on his door, that's why Jesse grabbed the pistol before he opened the door. And judging by how shaky he was after Walt left, Jesse was prepared to use it.

At about 1:10 this afternoon, our beloved Marybe passed on from this world.. she passed peacefully, and did this, as she did everything in life.. by doing it as she had planned ahead of time..
Barbara A was with her, and she was surrounded by her family, and friends.
please pray for her beloved Daddy, and Tim., as well as her friends, both on, and off these boards. she will be sorely missed...
Barbara will be posting later, and i ask for prayers for her, as she was there the whole tine.....3jays
-
I hope when she got to heaven she was greeted by all her loved ones who have gone before and then handed the final BB script, when it airs I am going to bake butt cookies and watch in your honor, I am so sad RIP our dearest Marybe.
-
Once again, I am shocked at how one of us can be posting on the boards one week, and the next week be gone. Marybe is and always will be an inspiration to me. RIP
-
I very much wish I would have gotten to know her outside of this thread. She sounds like a remarkable woman.
-
I am reminded of John Dunne's poem, "Death Be Not Proud." We will all miss Marybe. I pray that God has already welcomed her into heaven.
-
Marybe you will. be so missed😥😥
-
I am going to try to write this without reading any of the posts.
On the recommendation of the ladies on this thread I looked up, paid 1.99 amd preoceeded to watch the first episode of Breaking Bad. It is stupendous, I will likely go undersground for a few days and watrch every episode. I can't bweleive I never heard of the show before Marybe and this thread.
Love , hugs, and thanks I think. If the addiction gets to bad send someone in for me please.

Okay, so I bought all of season one and am on episode 5. This is a super great show. Thank you all!
-
Ginger~WOW! You jumped in with both feet, huh? It is a great show. I hate to see it come to an end, but I think there are 8 more episodes, maybe in the spring, then it ends.
That always happens to the good ones.
Have you watched " Revenge? " it's another great show. It's. Been on one season, and will be on Sundays this Fall.
Blessings
Paula -
