Yeah, great poster, isn't it, Gracie?!?

And, during the promo/trailer Walt says, (if I remember correctly)

"I. Am. Not. In. Danger, Skyler.

    I. Am. The. Danger"

    WOW!

They've got me hook, line, & sinker !!! Wink

We were just talking about this last night...how I've never made it past watching the first season of any show. By the time I've had to wait for the second one to start, I've lost interest. Not Breaking Bad, though. I'd wait on pins and needles for a year if I had to. I'm sad it's ending, but at least they'll be ending without compromising and on top. We went to a car auction yesterday to buy a car for my youngest son....I was trying to talk him into buying Walt's Aztec...they had one there! We had a good laugh. We were watching some re-runs yesterday. Remember the one where Jessie fell through the porta-pottie and crawled to the RV to sleep? I think that was one of the most pathetic scenes in TV, ever, and funny at the same time. The writers are so good at that, and the actors for pulling it off. (Love how you typed that out, Valjean...you nailed him).

Fellow Truebies - the day is finally here for the True Blood season premiere!  Ha ha, HBO must have known I am celebrating my birthday too (well, it's tomorrow, but it counts in my book). Jambalaya is in the crockpot and you're all invited to watch Christopher Meloni (Law and Order SVU) and Peter Mensah (300, Spartacus) rock the fangs!!

*humming Howlin' For You in anticipation!!*

Well, we finally saw the new True Blood episode and I think I may have only dozed through a few mins of it.   AND I have been watching Breaking Bad.....I thought it was going to be one big long marathon of 18 episodes, but they only show a few a night...I think I am about up to 7?....there were three the lst night, then three again or maybe it was two and last night there were two, but it did not start until 2 AM instead of three.   I have been setting my alarm and getting up to watch it.  I recognized the Adriamycin Walt was getting last night, but as usual am a purist and do not think their depiction of cancer is all that accurate, but I must admit I am getting into the show and want to know what happens next when it ends.  I did not recognize him as the guy who was the Dad in Malcolm in the Middle until one of my friends pointed that out to me.  I am going back home today and may be able to dothis late night things for a few more days, but then alas it is back to work so I am going to have to look for it on demand.  At lst I thought oh, this show is not for me, but I think as with most series if you get to know the characters you get involved.   3jays says it is not for her, but I am going to keep watching as long as I can find it at a reasonable hour and then I will be ready for the new season.  I am heading back to OH today.

lulubee, I liked Monk,it was the only comedy my fiance liked,he is just too serious. I also like Game of Thrones and have become addicted to The Big Bang Theory.  I laughed so hard at the last episode,I almost choked on my nacho burrito which I really didnt like the taste, dunno why I keep thinkg and believing the commercials for fast food! When I actually get the food home, its not good!

jaysmom,I would also like to know what to do now that I have signed up for Netflix, how do I watch the movies? I am so computer illiterate, its a wonder I can even use the computer at work without our agency's computer guy sitting next to me!!

Ah,the sheer joy of explaining what a blu ray disc is to my 65 yr old fiance...lol.(Just go back to your van honey and listen to your 8 track tapes..this is all too high tech for you..lol...then my son setup my computer so all I do is pop in the disc and it starts to play..I actually know nothing and if I ever do..I am so old I will forget it...lol)

Marybe, I watched Breaking Bad on streaming Netflix and left off with a real cliffhanger after season three, so I am just waiting for the next season to become available.  I could not watch this show week to week, because I get too excited to know what's next.   Bryan Cranston's acting style was so dry, it took me a few episodes to get into it, but I am hooked now.

Hope you end up liking it Marybe. Like elimar, I suggest Netflix to watch at your leisure, without edits and commercials. I don't know about you, but if swear words are edited, it kind of loses something for me. Hang in there....it only gets better! Elimar, you HAVE to watch season 4!

Just returned home from Florida....had a really nice time there and have been downloading pics, but really what pics can I post that have to do with watching tv?..so I will save those for other threads.   Anyway, I have already checked out AMC and tonight it doesn't start until 3 AM which I can do since I am not working tomorrow...two episodes, one at 3 and then the next at 4:00 AM and the same for Thursday which I may try to tape since I am working on Friday.  Then on demand, I can only get season four and it did not show many episodes.  So I will see how many of these I can get in before going to Netflix or maybe even checking to see if they have it at the library.  Maybe they will have a marathon on a weekend before the new season starts.

lkayla, Elimar is the one to ask about netflix.. i have comcast, with a million stations, but i still pay for hbo; to get "thrones" and true blood" they're worth the $15.oo i pay..and they have good concets, too..

we had a great time in fla with marybe; while i slept till noonish, she 'SUNNED" I WAS WORRIED ABOUT THE HYPO MESSING THINGS UP.. BUT, SHE BECAME A" NIGHT OWL" FOR ME.. I HOPE YA GET BACK TO YOUR own SCHEDUALE, SOON, MARYBE..

dALLAS STARTED TONIGHT, BUT I WATCHED A FEW MINS, dvrED IT.. TOO (sorry bout caps) there was too much DRAMA in it for me for tonight!!!

i hadn't taken any prednisone or synthyroid, cause im nasty on it, while marybe was here, so i took a BIG dose of each today ( sunny disposition not) so, i'll watch it when im in better frame of mind...3jays

I am watching # 2 of the 2 shows of Breaking Bad that they are airing tonight.  I am going to have to find out the name of the last episode that was on last night because I fell asleep before I saw the ending and know Tuko got shot because of the little recap they showed tonight, but I think I need to see the actual show so I can find out how Hank found them, how they got out of the trunk, etc.  They are not making this easy, ladies.   I asked Tim and we do not have DVR and I also went around and looked at all the tvs and the other things we have and we don't even had a recording device on anything....can watch tapes and DVDs, but you can't record.  So I am hoping if I get through the lst two seasons, I can watch the next two because she is recording it.....or maybe they have it at the library.  I don't want to get involved with netflix at this point.

As I was telling 3jays, I don't think all of this is realistic, like sneaking inand out of the hospital....but then again I am watching shows with shape shifters and vampires, and a town that has storybook characters in it so guess I need to look at the big picture.   Did they renew American Horror?   Well, think this is over so Goodnight Ladies....I have to work tomorrow morning.       Marybe

Yep to Dallas! Smile Although - ack, Bobby with cancer - no getting away from it, is there?  But I do like the grown-up versions of Christopher and John Ross, and the idea that the "Bobby faction" is focusing on alternative energy.  The new characters seem like they are fitting right in, too - Elena and Annie, and Rebecca.... And I really like the fusion of past and present. Geez, Larry Hagman's eyebrows really make him look like the devil that JR is, don't they?

so many good shows in the summertime - or at least, shows I like.  I like Necessary Roughness, Franklin & Bash, Suits, and Royal Pains, too.

Yipee, the library had Breaking Bad so I am going to finish watching what I can on the late night shows this weekend and then get the rest from the library.  No wonder so many video stores went out of business....why pay if you can get them for free?

Marybe, Breaking Bad is so addictive, isn't it?!? I watched last nights episodes this morning & saw the one that gracie talked about a few days ago, the porta-potty one. (Thanks for the reminder on that episode, gracie!) One guy says, "You smell like sh*t." Duh!! Walt asks Jesse, "What is wrong with you?!? Why are you blue?!?" Such great moments. I'm glad your local library has the BB series; last season was fabulous & one not to miss!

Yes, American Horror story was renewed.

I also watched the new Dallas. Great to see "old friends" again.

I am up because the guy who does weeding and raking for us is coming @ 8:30.....otherwise I think I would actually sleep in.  Last night Breaking Bad came on at 12:30....I woke up at 11( went to bed early cuz it was post chemo day and the steroids were wearing off)  something mad because I thought I had missed it, but had looked at the clock wrong....so turned the tv on and promptly fell back asleep and missed about the lst 20 mins. of the show that started at 12:30  but somehow did stay awake for the next four ( I think) episodes.....all I know is I was up until about 5:00.   Tonight I think there are three episodes starting at 2 or 3 AM.   Plan on driving to my dad's for Father's Day Sunday morning and am thinking Heck, maybe I should just leave at 5 when the program is over.  I sure do hope he gets AMC so I can see the last two of that season at his house Sunday night....then I am going to take a break since I will be back to work as normal next week and could not hold up with this  tv schedule.  Why do they chose these hours to air the reruns?.....to weed out the die hard fans or what?  If I get through this season I am watching....Can it be only two?....I am going to wait for the library to get the rest of them and watch at my leisure. I watched the premier episode that I got at the library  yesterday afternoon so now I know how it all got started.  Sometimes I really dislike Walt for the way he is so mean to Jesse....the episode with that crackhead couple and the sweet little redhead boy and the ATM machine.....very disturbing.    Yes, ValJ, I am hooked.   Guess I will have to check out Dallas.

Whats up with the new Dallas series? Are the younger JR etc supposed to be the sons of JR and Bobby? Larry Hagman looks 100 yrs old but there sat the lady who plays Sue Ellen and she hasnt aged a bit? Did she have work done? Larry and the old Bobby (forget his real name) yep, BC is messing with my brain fog...those 2 could use a little work. LOL..

I have not watched Dallas yet, but saw the interview the did with the actors on the Today Show and I, myself thought the guys playing the sons looked too young and was thinking back to how old they were when the series ended....wasn't JohnRoss already getting into trouble with women then?...or am I thinking of a cousin or someone?....my memory is not what it used to  be.  One of the young guys was the gardener on Desperate Housewives, the one who was having the affair with Gabby.  Oh for sure Sue Ellen had some work done....her face doesn't move a lot when she talks and in some clips of the old show they were showing she looked a lot more haggard that she does now (maybe it was during her drunken phase) and she definitely had her teeth fixed....I always look at mouths , just force of habit with my job, and her teeth used to be really crooked.  I am going to check the show out, however since so many on women her like it and they certainly steered me in the right direction when the recommended Breaking Bad.

Marybe you really should invest in a DVR mine is $10 a month and I would be lost without it, you just set and forget and when a new season starts up away we go recording again -- honestly can't tell you some nights I wake up and "watch" the same Judge Judy 4 or 5 times and never see it once as I drop back to sleep!!!!

Showtime is free this weekend & they are running the last seasons of certain shows, like the first full season of Homeland (I'm recording that because I only got to see the first episode on channel 101 (or whatever they call it now)). Also have Nurse Jackie's last viewed season set on the DVR. That is such a good show, wish I could see it more often. They are running The Big C & The Borgias. Can't record everything, I'll run out of space.

Dallas was okay, not sure how good it will end up being as it progresses. Certainly not anywhere near as fabulous as Breaking Bad. It will probably get to the point where I'll wish I was watching the older shows with all the good characters instead of the 'youngins'. Time will tell... Just wait until Joan Van Ark (Valene) comes on for an episode or two, she has really had the face work done & looks sooo different. But I like her & always did. Personally, I much preferred Knots Landing over Dallas.

I agree, hbcheryl, I would be lost without my DVR. Seriously!!

Marybe, glad to hear your enjoying BB. How in the world are you staying up that late to watch? Thank goodness your library has it so you can get some sleep! That episode with the ATM machine is one of my favourites. Poor Jessie; just trying to get by, a meth-head with a heart of gold. You're going to love what's coming up. Valjean, I think my favourite line from any of the episodes is when Jessie tells Walt "you don't want a criminal LAWYER, you want a CRIMINAL lawyer". Waiting not-so-patiently for what's next. I hope Saul's still in the show.
