Survivor, you need to draw the line with the bizarre co-worker. Back away and build a protective box! No way she should be bringing you to tears. Good job on the destressing bike ride!
Today was another 10 mile ride. Feeling good. I also put the yoga mat out, but didn't get down there yet! But at least it's out there inviting me whenever I walk by, ha!
Ate beef tonight. It was uninspiring. The veggies were the best part. I swear, I am over beef. It's like chew chew chew. Not worth the calories! though I suppose the protein is good. ha.
Kari, sorry about your cousin. It reminds me that you just never know! See here we all battled cancer and your cousin maybe didn't have our battle and yet dies in a car crash. You just have to live every day to the fullest.
Deanna, it's good to pull away at a point. I've actually been pulling away from wasting so much time on the computer facebook specifically. Just check in and get off.
Keep moving ladies!

Oy! (or is it Oye?) Oh, well, you all know what I mean. Is everyone seeing the new, sleeker format today? This will surely drive me away from BCO. It looks nice, but it's obviously NOT designed by anyone who actually uses it. Looks to me like they hired the same folks that have complicated eBay to the point that it's no longer fun. I'm wondering what everyone else thinks of it -- especially Spring, our resident user expert. Deanna

I do not like this new format! I too will be pulling away from this site, and will see you all on Facebook (hoping Spring doesn't pull away too far from that!).
The cousin died on I-75 in Kentucky going about 70-75 mph, veered off road and clipped the guard rail careening over and down 15-20 feet hitting a tree, dying from multiple blunt injuries. I swear you always hear people say "I could die tomorrow walking out in the street or in a car wreck". Feel sad for his family.
Love you all too, big hugs, kari
We can always do a Group on Facebook! I think some of you may do that with some other bco members. I belong to a small group there from the Tamoxifen thread and it is so much easier than coming to this site. Keep it in mind....sending great motivating vibes to all.
p.s. I rode my bike to yoga last night.

I can't stand this new look... and I do Web design and usability for a living. Huge step backwards! I hope they didn't hire an expensive agency to boot!
18+ mile bike ride today around Sea Pines in Hilton Head. It was so gorgeous!! Like a fantasy!
If one of you starts a Facebook thread for us Motivation-ers, add me to it!!!

Oh, Kari, that accident sounds horrendous. I'm so sorry.
Well I'm glad my initial reaction to BCO's new format isn't just a "can't teach an old dog new tricks" thing, and that you (Kari) and Spring, agree that the improvements are disappointing. I have a feeling that "wasted" space Spring pointed out on the announcement thread will soon be filled with ads. Kari, I think moving to FB might be a good solution if everyone here wants to do that. I know Spring said she was trying to spend less time on FB, and that's my concern, too, although I already belong to quite a few groups there, both open & private. Let's see what everyone else here thinks about the idea.

Kari, sorry about your cousin... again...

Today was a day of rest, errr, shopping! found some great deals in the outlet malls.

Hi Ladies-
Kari- I am so sorry for your loss. What a horrible accident!!! My condolences to you and your family. I wonder what went through your poor cousin's head in those last moments. Unreal. It must have been terrifying.
Thank you all for giving support in my work-related stress. Yesterday, after work, which was made even more stressful by my manager's over zealousness of writing up a report about what happened between my co-worker (male) and I, I went for a reiki healing at Gilda's Club to release some of the negative energy. I so needed it and now I feel better. Anyway, it is hopefully will not be an issue when I return to work on Friday. And I am just so very upset about this new and stupid website design. I am with you ladies. Let's do an FB group and just converse there. This is crazy !!! I can't stand this. I think the old version was great.
I spent my day at the hopital today, so no excersize here. I had to have my blood drawn for next week's Herceptin and I also saw a GI doctor about getting a colonoscopy. I have not have one for 8 years. Being high risk b/c of my family history of colon cancer I decided to get one. I will have it in June. Anyway, tomorrow I shall make up for my "lazy" day at the gym.

Boy I disappear for a few weeks and everything goes down the drain. You are right that this new design on this site sucks. Let me know if you all move to a group on FB.
The wedding went fantastic and the weather was beautiful. So now legally I have a DIL and two Grandchildren. My friends that helped support me through the wedding made me do the "girly" stuff. They took me to have a manicure, pedicure, eyebrow (ouch) waxed, hair highlighted. I even had to buy sandles to show off the toes. Sorry, but I have always been the tomboy type. And they put makeup on me!!! Glad it is over!
I closed the back window on my SUV and it shattered. The one arm on the window rusted completely out. My car is 12 years old. Then I went to the doctor and had another spot taken off my arm. So now I have the stitches out and I can start exericising again. Then I came home and my landlady has put my trailer up for sale and I had a tree burn from the inside out. It has to be some kind of a sign. Guess I will start looking for somewhere else to live with my dog.
Everyone have a fantastic Mother's Day.

Wanted to drop in and say hi all. Sorry for those of you experiencing loss or nasty coworkers. I'm usually much better at advising others to ignore that kind of thing than I am at actually doing it myself.
I'm sticking with it, had a couple of bad exercise weeks a few weeks ago but am back at it again. The scale is creeping down ever so slowly. I just have to remind myself that it was creeping up before.
Not a fan of the new format either. Good in that it keeps me from being tempted to spend more time on here than I should. Putting less time in on the boards definitely helped make BC seem like a more distant happening. Have to check in on this thread though. This and the Book Lover's Thread make me happy

Hi Kate- It is great to hear from you. I sent you a PM b/c we moved out group and would like to include you too.
-
Kate, come to Facebook!!!
-
The invitation to join us on Facebook is extended to anyone who's been a part of this thread, whether you've been an active participant or maybe just lurking. PM Kari, Survivor, Spring or me your Facebook contact info and we'll add you to the new, private group Kari just started there. If that group becomes as motivating as this one has been, I may not be back here, although I still do check BCO daily and am set up for email notifications for PMs. Sorry to possibly be bailing on some of you, especially those of you who haven't been here all that long. But as much as I love BCO, it's just time for me personally to spend less time on this website.
If you aren't on Facebook, it just takes a few clicks to set up an account that would give you access to our group there. Or, feel free to continue on here if that works best for you. I just don't want anyone to feel abandoned! Deanna
