"Dont worry about a thing,
cause every little thing gonna be all right.
Singin: dont worry about a thing,
cause every little thing gonna be all right!
Rise up this mornin,
Smiled with the risin sun,
Three little birds
Pitch by my doorstep
Singin sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true,
Sayin, (this is my message to you-ou-ou:) " -
cdairth,
Thanks for the yippee...
ptdreamers,
Thanks! You WILL reach these milestones, too. I remember when I was still just starting my bc journey. It seemed that everyone else was reaching either their 5 year point, or even 6 years.... I thought I would NEVER make it to this point...
Survivorwoman,
Thank!! and thanks for the Bob Marley tune. I LOVE IT!!
HUGS to all

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the info on organics Deanna. I buy my stuff at the local butcher. Meat in Canada is supposed to be hormone and antibiotic free, but we get the same stuff in the supermarkets so...I don't know. I never buy anything in a bag or a box anymore (except for cookies). Hee, hee.
Aqua Tai Chi. I have to see that. Awesome.
Ran my 5 k last night. Pilates today. I wish I could get my eating under control. I would really like to lose those last 10 lbs. I have a friend who lost 10 lbs quite quickly with the Dugan (sp?) diet, but it sure is light on fruits and vegies, so I think I will give it a pass.
-
Went for another nice outdoor trail walk yesterday at lunch! Soothes my soul!! Another on tap in 30 mintues, yay! Woke up at 4:45 a.m. and did my clearing/manual lymph drainage then did a 45 minute yoga class dvd I have that always takes the aches out of my hips/back and I have been so ALERT and alive all morning! yippee!
Harley, the big 5 year milestone coming up is wonderful!!!!!!!!!! As Deanna said, it is always such a huge relief to hear test results are normal. Hope you can settle your mind, although I understand your worry, believe me...each ache/pain is a bit worrisome for me. Survivor said it well too and that song is a good one.
Spring, smiles here picturing you sailing through the wind on your bike!
Hi to all! ptdreamers and Joanne and Cath, you go girls!!! (Cath, I've been mowing through some girl scout cookies, but don't all the roasted veggies at night counteract them? LOL)
-
Kari,
Thanks! I honestly don't sit around fretting about it all the time. Just 'sometimes', when I think about it, I can't help wondering... what if..... some of my friends... for instance, I have a friend whose husband had TWO extensive physical exams, and he was healthy as a horse... this was in Feb. and March... then in July, he was suddenly complaining that he was tired ALL THE TIME... Finally she sent him to her doctor... The doctor sent him to the HOSPITAL... where they did MORE TESTS, and he died THREE WEEKS LATER.... true story... it happened a year after my bc HELL year....
I am going to celebrate the FIVE year cancerversary, though! WHOHOO! YABBA DABBA DOO!
Harley
P.S. Went for a run with my hubby this morning... I didn't have to walk ONCE!
-
Harley - please no "whatifs", no "whatifs" --- don't let any thought like that enter your mind. No, no, no!!! You are moving on. You are healthy and healed! I tell myself every night this before I go to bed. "I am healed!!!" An energy healer told me this when, at the start of my journey, I was also sooooo worried. Please try to keep "whatifs" outside of your brain.
-
Harley, Congrats on 5 years!
Today was another 10 mile bike ride after work! Yay! The weekend is here!
zero jumping jacks. I am just lucky I survived the day at work! The bike ride was such a good release!
Survivor, LOVED THE BOB MARLEY!!!
-
Quick check-in. Hope everyone is well and doing something. After work, I rode my bike to the gym (2 miles each way ) and did 30 minutes on the elliptical that seemed like eternity. But afterwards I felt sooooo good. From tomorrow on I think I will start riding my bike to work. It is getting warmer. Yay!
-
Everybody move now!
-
I am going to download it on my ipod ...very motivating.
"Your Body, My Body,Everybody, Move your Body......."
-
So today I did a long 90+ minute yoga practice at home! It felt great.
Daughter is home from college on Spring Break! Happy!
-
Survivor, Spring, you guys are sooo motivating! Long walk today. I'm going to start riding my bike to Pilates!
-
Well, my actual cancerversary isn't til Thursday, March 15th....
Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.

It's coming up Harley!!!
-
Spring,
Thanks!
-
13.5 mile bike ride today! It was a gorgeous day with sun and a light breeze, and not to hot, not to cold, JUST RIGHT! I was really hungry! I ate more today than normal, but didn't go over my calories in "my fitness pal". (you get more calories when you exercise!)
Have a happy week!
-
Wow! Spring - you must have had a great bike ride! 13.5 miles! Awesome!
I was "stuck" at work and only on the way home was able to ride my bike around the park where I sat on a tree trunk and meditated a while too and listened to some calming music. Today is going to be in the 60s. Will do the same thing again.
-
Rode my bike around Prospect Park. (3 miles) Also ate a box of sunflower sprouts sitting on my favorite tree trunk listening to classical music. I am about to do power yoga.
-
Day of rest for me. What an exhausting day at work! Ugh! Tomorrow will be elliptical before an evening meeting...
-
Might be a day of rest for me, too, with the exception of a 30 minute walk this a.m. I feel like I really overdid it at the gym last night -- lots of aches & pains today, so not sure if I'm going to go tonight or not. Can't go tomorrow evening, and with summer coming (it's 80 here today!), I don't want to slack off! Maybe I'll just take another walk later.
My body isn't adjusting well to daylight savings time! I'm so tired, and I can't believe how fast the day has flown by! Deanna
-
I did 30 minutes on the treadmill today.
Hope everyone has a great week.
Harley -
Hello-this looks like the place to be to get me moving. I notice many of you track your steps to measure distance. I imagine you use a pedometer-how do you choose one? Thanks!
-
Off day for me. I love pedometers. I have had many; they have all worked well, but make sure you get one that stays put. I've lost lots of peds because I haven't been able to get them clipped onto my belt properly. Deanna likes peds. Maybe she has some good advice.
-
Hi there Spunkyb. Good to have you with us. I see that you recently had surgery. In my opinion, walking is the best great way of getting your exercising done for now and it is also gentle on one's body.
-
Spunkyboobs,
Welcome!
Walking is excellent! I walked when I got home from the hospital after my bilateral mastectomy. Just went out and walked, drain tubes and all....
Glad to hear that you are keeping active.
HUGS
Harley -
I had a great bike ride again for about an hour. I also did 40 jumping jacks and 20 rope jumps in the park. I must have burnt up a lot of calories b/c I devoured a box of broccoli sprouts when I was done exercising. Huuu ! Tomorrow is another Herceptin treatment again.
Keep moving ladies!
-
Survivor, you rock! today was another day off for me, 2 in a row! that is unusual! I had planned elliptical before a meeting, but work ran too late. Tomorrow is Yoga!
Rope jumps! Impressive!!! -
Spring...
Have a wonderful day tomorrow... yoga ... yay!
I am probably taking another day off... taking my MIL to Coastal Grand Mall...
Talk to you later...
Harley
-
Yes, Spring, rope jumps. They seem to be a bit less painful on the calves and knees. By the way, I still do your modified jumping jacks at work, too. They are great. OK.I gotta go to the hospital. I am grateful for getting this treatment.
Ps: Did I tell you Ladies that I saw a Buddhist monk doing a power walk in the park too yesterday? Cool, huh? I wish I had my camera with me.
-
That is cool Survivorwoman. Very inspiring
Worked out hard yesterday, sore this morning. It better get better quick because today is supposed to be beautiful and I want to get out for a walk
