It was ALL CLEAR!  What a relief I feel, like a weight removed!  Thanks to you all for your thoughts and prayers.  I just thought of all of us being there together and it truly helped me get through it.  Next one is in 6 months, so I plan to relax for a bit.

Teklya, You're where I was yesterday, so it's very fresh in my mind.  Just show up, and it will be okay.  I know you can't help but think about it.  The radiologist read mine immediately and I'd been told the results before I left, so I hope it'll be that way for you too!  We're all holding your hand and sending hugs.

The place that I have my mammos does NOT give out info on the spot-the radiologist will have to read it, yada yada yada! It pissed me off the 1st time, but I've become resigned to it.

I don't know if it was catching up on sleep or the neulasta SEs just finally wore off, but today was a really good day.  My white count is up, way up, the nurse said I really had a response so that may be why I felt it so much....count was up to 39.9....I said these other women were talking about getting it if they go below 1500 or something and she said that's what we are talking, thousands, it is just written like that and I aske 39,000 and she said yep.  So she said most likely next time he will cut the dose it half.  Sounds good to me.  He just rolled his eyes when I told him about the claritin.

Alyson, I am so sorry you are having to deal with aches and pains.  What a bummer.  Do arthritis meds help?

Kathy, I congratulated you on another thread but will do so again.  I hope you get an all clear also Teklya

Hair just started shedding tonight.  Think I will skip shampooing tomorrow morning.

I replied on FB, Kathy, but I will again here. Great news on mamm!

Joni ~ The same here for me, also. They will not give me any results of my mamm at the time, never have, never will. The radiologist just does not do that, not even for bc gals I was told. I have to end up calling myself for the results or risk getting a letter in the mail informing me of the results a week or more later. Hate it, but I have also resigned myself to the fact that that is the way it is. I envy the gals that get results on the spot.

Marybe ~ horray for good days!

Down here they put the scans with a dx report inside an envelope so big, it's almost impossible to take it anywhere without dropping or losing it half a dozen times.  On the flap of the envelope, they put a sticker (which seals the flap down) that says "Only to be opened by the referring Dr."  We would wait around for the scans to be read and then have to cart the huge envelope around to the Dr/hospital/clinic only for it to remain unopened.

Once I got a bit more experienced on this merry-go-round, I realised that the GP/Onc only read the dx sheet inside the envelope which is emailed to his/her office long before my next appointment.  I  started opening the envelope myself about two years ago.........and was lucky, I suppose, that their wasn't any bad news contained within.

They then started putting the scans on CD about 12months ago, so I guess I am now back to square one as I can't get the scans to load up to my 'puter. Due to a recent change of management, I now have no idea what system they will operate under, but am sure it won't be to my advantage. I sincerely hope they have found some decent needle inserters from somewhere before I next darken their doors..............otherwise I am going to steal one of my grandsons dummies (pacifiers?) to bite while they torture me.

    Sheila.

My breast center has the radiologist read it right away and she comes in to give the results. I am blessed.

No home computer access still while work being done downstairs so I'm taking a quick peak from work!

3Jays, ask "your" Mur if he ever had a house with other guys in Margate, NJ. Would have been 1974. I haven't seen "my" Mur since then so no idea what he might look like!!

Kathy, who wonderful for your daughter, and don't ever apologize for bragging!! Just like we tell everyone they can moan all they want, we have to allow for self-indulgence in all forms and bragging is one of the best as far as I'm concerned! If you have to hear a song over and over, Amazing Grace is a pretty good choice :)

To all with the aches and se's, I hope we're all feeling better soon, at least by the weekend. Personally, I have a run of the mill cold and forgot just how they can make you feel like crap too!

    Hugs sistahs.

Have been noticing that most all of us have been having more pain than ususal the past few days, me included.  Hope we all are like Marybe and start having better days.  I for one really need a few better days so I can at least stay awake long enough to get all the information to do Mom's taxes in the computer.  I only have a years worth of bank statements for 2 accounts to enter!

I think a cyber party might help.  Any one else up for a "Lets Feel Better Soon Party"?

Well, I'm back.  Mammogram went well, the technician was awesome and very gentle.  Lots of pain, though, made me cry, though it would not have taken much to do that today. No results though, they will read it today and notify Dr with results tomorrow, if not, after the long weekend (Victoria Day on Monday for us in Canada).

Thanks for your prayers and support.  It helped more than you will EVER know.

Lisa the rose is absolutely fantastic!  The color is beautiful.  It sure makes my day better. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Kathy - Let the party begin!

I am feeling a little better today.  Still having a lot of pain in my joints and bone especially at night so I have a call into the MO to see about upping my pain patch again as the last increase has not done much good for very long.  During the day as long as I keep moving I am for the most part OK. DH noticed that I appeared to be a little unsteady on my feet walking into Wally World the other day and so he bought me a cane, which I refuse to use!  I will just keep using the shopping cart thank you very much!  I know he is tring to protect me and he did at least get a folding cane so that I can stuff it in my purse.  (And I was trying to get rid of stuff in my purse Wink so that I could get a smaller one that I would not be tempted to stufff until it was too heavy to carry.)

Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend.

AmyJo, so sorry you are having pain. Please do talk to your onc.

This had me ROFLMAO. The CDC has a blog about being prepared for the zombie apocolypse. I think those guys have too much time on their hands.

AmyJo, sorry you are having a lot of pain. It got to me this last year, I was clinging onto shopping carts for all I was worth, couldn't get around town without one. Then I bought myself a cane, wouldn't use it 'when anyone could see me'!!! But now I will use it a bit, but NOT at my local shops...only when I go to town, 30 miles away, and don't have much chance of bumping into any people I might know.

Lisa, the rose picture was lovely, great colour.

Teklya, glad the mammo went off without trouble. Always something to upset us !

Well, have had a painting 'crisis' today. I had one wall painted 3 times until I got the correct shade I wanted, my painting man thought I had gone mad, and said I was too 'picky' I just wanted 1 wall in a room painting the palest pink you could imagine. Gave the paint to painter, instructing him to put a coat of white under the pink to ensure it wasn't too strong a pink. What did he do ?  put 2 coats of pink on, making the colour deeper. I shot off to the DIY store, got another paler colour, had it put on, it STILL wasn't right. In the end I mixed in some white paint into what was left of the pink paint, and got the correct effect I wanted. My painter made it quite clear he was sick of re-doing it...I didn't care...I got my very pale blush pink wall !! Men do not understand these things !!!

Have had a builder here today to build me some new doorsteps from big old stone 'flags'. The biggest step is 4 yards x 3 yards, then 2 more a little smaller. The old steps were starting to fall apart ( probably all the spraying the visiting tomcats have done this year !) I wasn't sceduled to have it done until August, at the earliest, but builder suddenly rang me to say could I fit him in now as he had no work on. So between driving off to fetch paint, and collecting up old stone flags from all over the farm I have been busy. I got a really lovely big flag, picked it up with the tractor, and it promptly slid off and broke in two.....( colourful language here !!!) I wasn't watching what I was doing properly, my own fault.

Am looking forwards to a quiet w/end now...no workmen for 2 whole days. no cups of tea to organise, no supplies to fetch for them...I miss my quietness, can't even go and sew without one of them is wanting something....feel I am always on my toes when they're here.

Having an early night tonight, good film on TV so off to watch it in bed....where I shall fall promptly asleep.

    Isabella.
