Wow, I love that pic.....actually remember those days.  Here are pics from the BC program I went to this morning....lst they had a breakfast and I got my food and went in and there at the end of this one table was Marisa Weiss doing some stuff on her laptop and I asked someone How close am I allowed to sit? and they said Oh you can sit right here and I put my tray down and went up to her and told her how I was more thrilled to meet her than I would be to meet any president or movie star and she asked Why is that? and I told her becasue I spend half my life on BC.org.  I told her about how I have met some wonderful friends on here and also about some of the problems that went on with a few of the threads and she said Oh, I know all about that.  Did you know she puts some sort of a forum or something on here every few weeks?....probably to do with her Think Pink, Live Green which was the topic today.  I bought a copy of her book and had her autograph it.  Bad news is the even though I am Stage lV and for sure am not going to live forever, she doesn't think it is too late to start eating healthy and exercising!  Damn, and here I was really enjoying my pursuit of finding the best fast food frenchfries....so far I am leaning toward Long John Silver's.    As you can see, I still have plenty of hair, but it is shedding.  I don't know how old she is, but she had on this knit suit and has a really nice shape so it's obvious she does exercise...although she said she hates treadmills and elyptical machines.  She likes Zumba!!

    Barbe, great pic!

Marybe, this was before your time with us, but last October I was honored to be a part of BCO's 10th Anniversary Bash - Rock the Ribbon - at their celebration in Philadelphia. I was lucky enough to participate, along with several other women, in a video that BCO runs on their website and other websites promoting BCO. I presented Marissa with a spa gift certificate from all BCO chatters and boarders.  PM me your email address and I'll send you a bunch of pics and my blog from that night if you want ... it was, and still is, definitely a top 10 moment in my life. I just won't be able to send it till I get my living room back and my "normal" computer with all my stuff on it!

BarbA - looks like ya'll are having a good time.  So glad the world did not end today - those people need to get a life!  They have entirely too much time on their hands.

Marybe - so glad you had a great day and got to meet Marissa and have her sign your book. I'm with you on looking for the best fast food french fries.  Who needs exercise?!?!?!?

We had a cul-de-sac party this afternoon that was a lot of fun visiting with some of the neighbors. The 2 Amys, me and Amy B., in the cul-de-sac made all the fixings and everyone else showed up.  I am kind of tired and DH is watching a video of the Old Home Prairie Homecoming or something like that...it is an old, old radio program.  Anyway I am not very interested in it so I think I will be off to bed after a cool shower.  It has been in the 90s here today!

NEWSFLASH... for anyone currently undergoing treatment, check out the organization Cleaning for a Reason - they offer FREE housecleaning service to anyone undergoing active treatment (as opposed to ... say ... tamoxifen)

AmyJo,   So glad you had a nice day....were the parents of those kids who kept tresspassing there?  Lisa,  That was  here in Cincinnati, something the breast cancer registry here sponsored. Marlegal,  I did see the BC.Org video that was made, but will send you my email to see your pics.  I went to MN. in 2009 and was part of a project some broadcasting system did  for Breast Cancer Awareness month...there were 31 women and they featured a different woman each day and we each did a video telling our "breast cancer journey"  I was a wreck and had no hair at the time, but everyone said I did a good job.  I actually participated in the project after I saw a post on here where they were asking for women to share their stories.  Barb,  Looks like you guys are having a good time....hope there's no hangover today!   I am going to pig out bigtime at a brunch today and then am going to listen to Marisa Wiess....it is never too late to do something positive so tomorrow it is back to WW and healthy eating.  I found out from one lecturer yesterday that olive oil is as bad for fat as butter...that was a low blow!   Even if we are no longer producing estrogen, our fat cells mimic it and I am afraid I have a lot of those.

Marybe - No the parents of the tresspassers were not there - they do not live in my cul-de-sac. They live in a different neighborhood down the road.  Too bad about the fat cell, guess I will have to do something to try and get rid of some of mine too.

I managed to make it to church this morning, but I kept falling asleep so I came home and took a 4 hour nap.  I woke up starving so I ate some potatoe salad left over from yesterday's party.   I think I will make some pasta for dinner as DH said we have too much pasta in the pantry and so we need to start eating some of it and he hates pasta.  So we will see how well that goes.

AJ, enjoy! I love pasta. We are on our way out to dinner with Marty's neighborhood friends from CT. Seven of them came from all over and spent Friday until tomorrow. What a riot! Today his band played at the St Pete Pier. Great fun and gorgeous view. This is the view the band sees. From where they play, they look across Tampa Bay to Tampa in the far distance.

BarbA - what a great view.  Wish I could be there. It is unseasonably hot here the last few days and if I had some free days left this summer I would come down there to see you too.  Enjoy your dinner out with the guys.

Marybe, the thing about olive oil is that it has other good health properties though. So if you are going to have the fat either way, olive oil is a much better choice. I buy a pound of butter and put in the freezer - it lasts months because we hardly ever use anymore. We use Olivio for cooking and spreading and I truly love the taste. For other frying it's olive oil all the way. I need to get my butt in gear and move more to shake off some weight, but we do eat smart/well the majority of the time.

Barb, that is a really cool view :)

I had a calm weekend, but still tired. I am sitting in the car dealership waiting for them to put a new back door latch on the van. The cover has deteriorated so they said they have to replace the whole door latch! $230.00 and a couple of hours to wait then I will be back home.

I accounting the days until I go to OK to see my DD#2 and her family, 11 days to go, I really miss the sweet GDs and it will be so nice to get to be with them and give them Grammie Kisses.

Glad everyone had a good weekend even though it will take all week for some to recover from the fun. (hehehe BarbA) Have a good week everyone.

Just calling by to say hi. We head for home after lunch, about a six hours drive. I haven't been on because I refused to pay the $30 a day for internet connection at the hotel.

    Will check in tomorrow.

My town has wifi, as do most towns on the West coast of FL. There are some (fewFoot in mouth) advantages to living in a tourist area. The wifi works great along the beach (and saves the hotels $) but they did not extend it to the residential areas. But enough of my neighbors have it so if I ever can't afford to pay for it, I still could get it. Hee hee.

Aly, hope the drive wasn't too awful. Missed you. AJ, great pic of a po'd Daisy. What a little cutie. She about licked Marybe and me to death when we came to your house.

3jays - here is hoping the antiBs start working soon! {{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}  Everyone in my family that lives in OK checked in last night after the storms passed and they are all okay.  The storms went right over the top of them. I was watching the radar all evening and praying like crazy.  Glad that night is over.

BarbA - Yes, Daisy is a licker, she thinks the only reason people exist is to pet and play with her!  She is not spoiled you understand.Wink  So I can get free wifi if I come see you and just go to the beach?  Maybe I will find some time later this year to come down you way.

I have slept most of the day so I think I will go do some shopping, There is a grill that DH wants and it is on sale now so I think I will go get one.  Talk to you all later.

Barbara we do have great wifi coverage here on the whole. If I had taken the laptop for a walk I could have picked it up in the town centre at various cafes  but the hotel we stayed in had it passworded so you had to pay.

It is a wet dismal day here and I have so much to do. I am not feeling very lively today. Never mind i had better get moving as my beautiful babies will be around this afternoon.
