gorgeous pool Barbara ... is that part of your development?
the picture - the last word is Beachettes ... there's a thread "Life's a Beach" and that's what we call ourselves!
-
Yes, Mary, we have two pools in our neighborhood of townhouses and this is the one in front of my house.
-
I stopped by the "Life's a Beach" thread and saw the other picture and it was really good especially since you were usitng your cell phone camera. The picture of the pool and knowing the beach it really close to your place really makes me want to run away to see you as soon as I can save enough for another escape weekend.
-
AJ, you are welcome anytime you want AND the guest room is on the ground level of my townhouse. It has a waterfront patio overlooking our marina. Here are a couple pix.
-
I can't believe you had the pool all to yourselves!!! Our neighborhood pool is packed! With kids!! EEEK!
I'm moving to your place, Barb! I like the idea of older, quiet people that don't use the pool.
-
WOW! Barb, How beautiful. Thank you for the gracious offer. I will be taking you up on it soon. I will let you know as soon as we have the summer camp schedule settled.
-
Gorgeous room, Barb! And how nice to have the pool to yourselves, too. Wish we could have one, but we in a small development in the country, and a cow pasture borders our land at the back. Unfortunately the only place to put a pool would be next to the pasture. So, we use that land for our small garden. Today, with 90+ temperature, I could've used a pool!
Amyjo, I hope you can get some answers from the onc. Tuesday and something can be done about your pain. And I so hope you'll be able to go to Florida and see Barb, soon. (Prior to new grandbaby's arrival, that is.)
Our GS had his 2nd birthday party today and you'd have thought it was Christmas from the number of gifts. I'd finished shopping for him already, but Friday DH came home with a toy leaf blower and that was the prize gift as far as GS was concerned. It actually sounds like a leaf blower and we heard it all afternoon, I can assure you.
Next weekend DH and I are going to Cherokee NC and staying at Harrah's. Got a free room, so will only have to pay for meals and what I lose at the slots! DH doesn't gamble at all but I like it occasionally, and it's always good to get away. Probably we'll go over to Gatlinburg as well while we're there so it'll be fun for us both.

TONIGHT on TLC (the learning channel) is that special on Gypsy weddings in England....it starts at 9:00 and I am going to be watching cuz I want to see what kind of wild parties Isabella has been going to. I think it is called MY BIG FAT GYPSY WEDDING....the previews keep talking about how everything is BIG....big gowns, big headresses.
-
BAD WORDS, BAD WORDS - I just checked TLC here, nothing on tonight except programs on extreem couponing.
-
WOW what a beautiful guest room! Thank you for your kind welcome
Teklya
-

Marybe, gonna ck TLC right now... thanks for the reminder... Isabella started this hahah 3jays
-
its' on right NOW... so, i'll be back to BCO... your welcome, for the warning... 3jays
-
It's on NOW Chabba.....after extreme couponing so with the time difference it might be on later there. Pretty amazing culture....the girls dress like hookers, but they are supposedly very restricted, chaperoned when they go out and do not believe in premarital sex.
-
Guest room - heck - can I move in??? Our house is under renovation - 30 yrs in the making but not actually being finished - and I have a teeny spot on the first floor that I can use with my laptop, the entire downstairs is demo city! Barbara, you're lucky I have to work - that room looks so good I'd be knocking on your door if I could
3Jays, hope you had a good day

Happy Memorial Day all and here are prayers for all our brave members of the armed services.

I went over a few minutes ago and gave him a hug. he was sitting on couch, I leaned over quite a lot to give the hug so he wouldn't have to get up ... I have on a deep v cut top today ... he thanked me for the hug but said he was more thankful for the view as I was leaning over!!! nice to know what I have left still makes some guys thankful
-
marlegal...you gave me a big fat laugh there !! Just woken up, infront of my computer, must've been 'out' for over an hour !!
Hope those of you who are watching Big Fat Gypsy Wedding are enjoying it. If it's the same programe that aired here a couple of months ago, and it sounds like it is, the wedding I went to was JUST like that !

Lisa, thanks for the comments here and for the one on the pic of DD and SIL ... ok, don't want to make anyone jealous, so repeating my post from another thread!!! I post on a thread called "Life's A Beach" where we just try to post cool beach pics and this was my post for today, our daughter's wedding anniversary.....
Oh, and my picture for the day, fittingly, is a tribute to my dd and my awesome sil, in honor of their first anniversary - today. This pic was taken in Key West at sunset the day before their wedding. They're celebrating in Bar Harbor this weekend (a stop on the cruise the four of us took 2 yrs ago). Love them to bits.
-
thanks, Marle gal.. a wonderful picture!!!!3jaysand congrats to them...
-
What a beautiful picture, Marlegal.
Kathy
-
What a beautiful couple, Marlegal! They look so happy - I'm sure they're having a great time!
Loved the story about you made our veteran's day!
-
Marielga - I know you are so proud of them as I am proud of my DDs and SILs. SILs are more like DS than SILs We say they are Sons in Love.
-
Since we had two girls, I was always looking forward to having a son-in-law. Never wanted a son mind you, but looked forward to the sil!!! Josh is a great guy, and so perfect for our daughter. They a great couple to be around. We went on a 7-day cruise with them 2 yrs ago, and had a great time. I have a hard time spending a weekend with some people, so that says a lot about them!!
-
