my3girls....Please don't do any running in this weather.
Look what happened to me I fell and I couldn't walk for 5 days.
Good Night
-
Checking in for the roadrunners... Whew didn't think I was going to make it!
Checking in on friday = 3 points
Down to 148 = 2 points
Drank all my water + more = 7 points
Didn't do so well this week with the exercising even though one night I did shadow boxing during every commercial while I had company... 1 hr exercise = 2 point
Had company for dinner and didn't touch the chocolate chip cookies that were being passed around. Didn't even take a small bite! Extra credit I'm thinking for this... 1 point.
Total for the week 15 points.
Would like to have had more but I'm thrilled that the weight had come off. This up/down with the pounds isn't fun. Starting another week tomorrow, right? Hoping I can start walking again. This toe thing is starting to get old....
-
Oh Sheila....I will be careful, and I won't run, unless all is clear! Thanks!
-
I'm happy with a totals summary for the Roadrunners, Seyla.
-
me too, thanks!
-
Have you guys seen these for walking on packed snow and ice?
YakTrax http://www.yaktrax.com/walker
I'm not affiliated with them but for twenty bucks it looks like a good thing!
-
I can't believe I screwed up and forgot to check in myself. I was working on getting the data together and forgot, so no Friday points for me.
5 points for water
14 points for exercise
2 points for being down (thanks to colonoscopy, hope to keep it down)
1 point extra credit because I didn't chicken out of the colonoscopy
-
Here is the summary for the Robins:
Suzette - 21 points
BCColo - 17 points
Valjean - 24 points
Zogo - 16 points
Total of 78 points
Great job ladies considering there are just 5 of us routinely reporting!! All of us had points that are pretty high and our high was 24 points (super awesome). WE ROCK! Keep it up girls!
-
seyla, I'm okay with only totals in the summary. I wonder if including both the total points and the current weight we list would be helpful for Meece when she is updating?
Roadrunners, good job! you are motivating me to do even better to get those total points up.
-
After walking 2 hours yesterday this morning Im 2 pounds less than I was yesterday.
Just saying
Hi patoo♥
-
Hey Sheila, oh inspirational captain, I really hope you are feeling better after your fall, would Arnica help? - Faithie says that I get an extra point for hitting an all time low weight so that brings me to 42 points. And whatever form of summary that is best for you and Meece suits me.
Faithie - your holiday sounds wonderful and if I could I would meet up with you - I'll buy a lotto ticket this week!!!
Meece - Personally I think there aren't enough points in the world to award you for the work you put into this project.
Atrocious weather here today - and had no one to sit with mum so no walk although I was down another pound since yesterday !! Hopefully it will last until next Friday!!
We are the Roadrunners, mighty, mighyt Roadrunners!!!
Have a good week.
-
OOh Ainm...You are so good with your exercise.
you make me laugh when you call me captain.
Yes...you got the point and you well deserve it.
Sorry.
-
Meece~don't you get points for your procedure you had done?
-
I gave myself a point for not chickening out...
-
O.k. this is late and there are a lot of pages to catch up on but I am checking in. I am sorry but I have to share a computer with my 21 yr old daughter and it's her computer/laptop. I hope you count me for checking in considering.

exercise - 2 pts
wt. - 159.5 - 1 pt for maintaining wt.

Suzette, Your comment about the robins.... "we rock"
Does that make us the Rockin Robins?
-
WTG, Rockin Robins! Great name!
-
Oh yeah! Here's a live version with the J5 from 1972 - MJ was maybe 12 or 13? WOW!
-
Hi hummingbirds and the rest of our flock!
Just checking in. I have taken some of the advice on here...I am keeping track of everything that goes in my mouth!! I think it helps, because, I see what I eat..and I know if I eat something, I have to record it...so if it's bad...I won't want to see that! This week is going well, a few extra's last nt at the superbowl party, but actually did very well, considering the temptations.
I work at an airport, so I do alot of walking everyday, plus lifting luggage. I have been taking the stairs everytime I can. I figure every little bit helps. I am starting my walking/running routine with my gf today!
I will be traveling on Wed. going to Atlanta for the day, the flying to Chicago to help my daughter pack (she is moving to California). Then the following day I am flying to Orlando to meet my boyfriend and his parents for 2 days. Not sure if she has a scale. If so...I will check in.
Keep up the good work ladies...WE CAN DO THIS!!!
xoxo

Good work Lisa. Safe travels, sounds like you'll be a little travel weary by the end of the week!
LOVE that we're "Rockin' Robins"!
-
Lisa3G's: Congrats on starting a food log!!! Way to show some discipline.
Increasing steps that we take on a daily basis is the right direction.
Whoohoooo.
Rockin' Robins..... LOVE the name.
OK Birdies. I'm lettin' ya in my little secret as it's unfolding, instead of waiting to report in 12 more days. The last time I went to get my haircut I read an article in the waiting -- by Dr. Oz.
The article was all about "The Green Smoothie" and it's gazillion benefits.
So there ya go. Today is day #2 of our first 14 day-challenge.
Over the weekend we got a HUGE bag of collard greens and various other greens, including spinach and others.
We already owned a blender.
I'm sure it's too soon to report any miracles, but if Dr. Oz says it's what we all need to do for optimal health -- then we're willing to give it a good ol' college try.
Ya know how I'm earning my extra credit point this week.
Today I actually did 2 FULL hours of Line Dancing Aerobics. The class is 90 minutes, but she invited me to meet her a half an hour ahead of time to have a personal lesson & get up to speed.
To say I was dripping wet by 10:00 a.m. would be an understatement! LOL
I'd REALLY like to hit a new all-time ELAB low this week.
My reward when that happens is get to go purchase a new pair of work-out pants.
Eat less. Move more.
Eat less. Move more.
Eat less. Move more!!!!!!
-
Faith can you post the recipie for the green smoothie when you have time.Is a juicer necesary?
-
Ok Rockin' Robins, I have to warn you, it's a "red wine" kind of night! Although I must admit I've been very good and haven't had any since I got back from my trip. I don't think it will cause any negative points for our team.
It's pretty bad when Faithie and Mumayan are talking healthy green smoothies and I'm talking red wine!
Keep up the good work fellow birdies and Rock on Robins.
-
If you're intrigued with the "green smoothie" concept, just put those two words into an internet search and you will be overwhelmed with website choices, recipes etc etc.
This is completely new to me.
I found a site from Australia with a 14 day challege concept & we're following some of their helpful hints. Their website is: http://www.greensmoothiechallenge.com/
At this point we're having a smoothie as part of our lagging afternoon..... we're not replacing any meals or any other "HUGE" committment.
Today I experimented with adding a ripe banana and a fresh pear to the greens and it is 'sweet' by the pear. I personally love the green color, tho the dhubby raises his eyebrow a bit..... takes some getting used to. We'll see what the scale says on Fri.
xx00xx00xx00xx
Hum on Hummingbirds!!!
Run on Road Runners!!!
Rock on Robins!!!

Checking in at 185.5 this morning
Weight down from prior week = 2 points
New E-LAB low = 1 point (is that right?)
Exercise - 8 hours = 16 points
Friday check-in = 3 point
Daily water = 7 points
Extra credit: started a food log, really helps cut down on snacking = 1 point
(I also bought a pedometer but will save that for next week's extra credit.)
Total = 30 points
Have a great day everyone! {{hugs}} to all
-
A Roadrunner here, checking in at 179.6 today.
Weight down = 2 pts.
Exercise still needs work at 8 pts.(4 hours)
Water still needs lots of work at 3 pts.
Friday check-in = 3 pts.
Extra credit started daily loseit.com log which really kept my eating under control. 1 pt.
Total = 17 ots, better than last week but I'm still not happy with that total.
-
good job patoo, I can hardly wait for when I get below 180, that will be a milestone!
If that's a new E-LAB low for you, I think you get a point for that???
-
Hi all,
Friday check in is 3 points?
At last I'm a little down !! Yay me!! After a long time of keeping the same weight.
So weight is:138.5 (1.5 down)=2 points
E-LAB low=1 point
exercise=6.5 points
water=7 points
Friday check in=1 point (or three?)
Total for the hummingbirds=17.5 or 19.5?
Gooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Thanks badger, it is - I'll take that extra point!
I remember when I struggled to get below 200 and then thought it would never get below 190. Actually when it got below 190 it briefly went back over and I was crushed but then it went down again so it may do the same for 180 but it's very motivating to watch it go down. So hang in there - we can do this.
