All of your friends came to your house, and you immediately showed them what Blue said so you could all hoot and holler and complain about how mean we all are.  You've managed to insult two of the nicest, most respected, and least offensive of the posters on this thread (Blue and BinVA) and take up with their opposite number.  How very Christian and perceptive of you.

    God bless YOU, really big.

Howdy gals. Wow, I take a week off for a cruise and it has taken me hours to catch up. And those chicken livered deleters made another stealth attack. Cowards.

Speaking of food, I have serious food pix.

Kindergarten, the nicest thing I can say about you is that you are under the impression that your real or imaginary crowd of cheerleaders are giggling and laughing with you through this and that you are impressing someone. They are pushing you past your normal point of boldness to say things you normally would not. OR: The worst thing I can say includes a recommendation - before the one where 911 is called, that is: get some sleep.

I am wondering if both possibilities are merely part of the same diagnostic spectrum.

    Edited significantly for clarity.

I'm so glad you're back.   Let me know how the sheep dance treatments work.  ;-)

Has anyone ever had a red bean jelly donut?  I tried one at an international foods store yesterday and it was delicious!  They also had something called a jack fruit.  I'd have to be high on pain pills before I'd try that one!

Well hello everyone.  Seems like there was a bit of excitement on this thread last night.  I wonder who would do that to someone who recently had brain surgery.  Not a real Christian.  Please tell me that there are no Christians like that around.

It appears there are, chevy.  Maybe they only act that way on the internet because they don't see the real people behind the words?

Good Morning everyone.  I see things haven't really changed that much.  We still have our little sneaky, deceitfuls hiding under different ids just to keep things in turmoil.

Enjoyful:  I just love your remark to a certain nameless poster.  You just have to be enguard with those Christians who go around "God Blessing" every body.  They could be doing it with their fingers and webtoes crossed!   Now the way you blessed her, even without Holy Water soaking her should get her blessed real good!Wink   It is really weird but I consider myself one of the most "spiritual" humans I have ever met and been told so my people in the know but it's not my style to go around just "Blessing" every body.  People have to earn their own blessings and "if" our deleter is blessing others and being deceitful she is just bringing bad karma on herself.  A million blessings don't make up for one bad act against another.  I don't know if she is the deleter since I just returned but "if" she is she needs to quit mocking people with blessings, imo.

And the person had the coca colas to delete "Blue"??  WE are true to Blue!  They must hate Jim Morrison!  These people are just miserable and must lead very boring lives if this is the best they can do with their time.  Get a life deleters!   Go eat a ton of tripe, chicken necks, pickled pig"s feet, cow brains, and a muskrat and really learn how to be joyful!  Now that's a blessing!

Molly52:  I don't use tax software but I do taxes for all in my family seperately and I have a lot of forms and stuff to gather from outside institutions and do a lot of reconciling and work on my adding machine before I get to typing them up.  I was so thrilled this year tho.  I had my electric typewriter set with a new ribbon etc. and ready to type when I found out I could go on the IRS site and do the "fill-in" forms.  They were so much easier to do than with the typewriter.  I don't E-File but just get everything filled in, printed out, make tons of copies and now this week will hopefully go to post office to mail everything.  I "always" do taxes early!

I don't know if US taxes are more complicated than other nations since I have never had experience with anything but ours.  However, a relative, until he recently retired, was an Enrolled Agent Tax Accountant and said ours are too complicated for many people to do themselves unless they don't have much to declare.  Figuring out which way helps you get best refund takes time and I "never" get refunds due to my life situation.  So it is time consuming, at least for me because I am a meticulous person in everything I do inspite of the way I post on here.

I can't be silent when jackfruit is under attack.  I've never bought it or prepared it myself, but I've had it in Thai curries, and it's delicious - tastes quite a bit like artichokes, believe it or not.  (The ever-helpful Wikipedia tells me there are different varieties of jackfruit, some of them sweeter than others.  I think the preparation I had used the young, "green" fruit.)

I bet I would like red bean donuts. Or how about red bean ebleskivers?  The world needs more Danish-Asian fusion cuisine.

(Edited to fix a typo and to add: welcome back, BarbaraA . . . and yum.)

Medigal, I am keeping my fingers crossed that the post you just wrote survives. There is absolutely nothing in it that breaks the rules, but every time a person questions people who use religion to justify their actions, they get deleted. Same goes for chevy2levy. So I am drinking to the health of your posts. :-)

I think if you have a post that did not violate any rules and was deleted, repost it. It's nice to say "oh, I won't let it bother me" but things here have gotten out of hand. Don't play Chamberlain to Hitler.  The "ignore" "other cheek" can be too cute by half when the intimidation is widespread, and at BCO things have gotten out of control. People are now calling each other swear words on some threads (or one, now deleted). If we can't get more moderators, we have to do some real policing in the form of not backing down to intimidation.

--Don't feel bad if you want to publish all nasty PMs that you believe are deliberately abusive. You have no obligation to the person. You may not know their real name, face or ever have met them. There is no expectation of privacy, confidentiality or trust vis a vis a hostile stranger, so don't get lulled into a false sense of misplaced honor. Here goes. I am not saying the post is friendly:

And I wanted to repost a post of mine that was deleted, but my e-mail account froze up and I have to run because I have work to do....oh well. See you all later, hopefully safe and sound, in non-deleted form.

I'm late - can't correct typos, of which I am sure there are many....

1Athena!:  The Moderators already deleted my post!!  I think we are being moderated by some Holy Rollers who can't take a bit of kidding around.  I feel like this is turning into some of those churches I was SO glad to get away from!!  Repost??   You really think I remember what I wrote?  I was better off doing those crappy taxes.  When is everyone on this thread going to wake up to seeing that our real problem is with the Moderators?  I hope you all get to read this before she or they wake up from their "let's get them!" nap and delete this too!!  Too bad!!  They can delete me all they want  because "they" are breaking their own rules and punishing us just because they don't like something we post! SO DON'T READ THE POSTS!   GO FIND A REAL JOB!    Ladies:  Just remember, you are my beloved gals and I will miss YOU!

Dear Enjoyful, What are you talking about? I did nothing of the sort, I did want to show my  friends, who think, people like me, that "No they don't,"!!!!!!! and I showed them the post about Blue spitting me out or something like that and to "Beat it.""" and they were just mortified for me. I tried to find the post again, but it is gone, I guess someone is on my side a little bit. I would never embarrass someone like that, but I guess it is O.K. for Blue and you to embarrass me, that is fine, no big deal!!! I am pretty thick skinned. Golly, I am on the church computer now, I am too obsessed with this site. I am supposed to be doing something else, bye, bye!!!!!!

Well now, it's mighty obvious to most of us here on Blue's thread that there are a few who want this one shut down too, and are doing all they can to ensure that it happens.  We try to keep things light and happy, and not too frequently discuss stuff that some might find controversial.  But those few just can't seem to stand anyone posting anything that doesn't fit their views of life - religious, political, cultural... That's pretty selfish behavour now, isn't it?  I'm sad that these few have so little empathy.

Come on, everyone. Please, please let's work together. It is out of control again, and totally disrespectful.

We need a new tone, and deleting the posts is my attempt to re-create a better climate.

Medigal, please don't attack me. I understand what you are saying in your post, and I would just hope that we could change the tone in order to improve the overall atmosphere. I'm doing my best to create a more welcoming place. Your suggestions are always welcome.

Blue, I adjusted things so you can post again.

    New start!?!?

The moderators have indeed been busy deleing Kindergarden, 1Athena, Medigal and Blue posts. I read all of them and still don't understand why. As far as I can remember (and I do have CRS disease), none of them broke the rules. Or at least the rules as I read them. And I am a very literal person, not a lot of gray in my life.

    Sigh.

Speaking of food (I love food), DH and I just returned from our favorite beach breakfast place, Peg's Cafe. We both had Eggs Benedict with homefries. She makes the BEST Hollandaise sauce. I always burn it or clump it up when I make it. YUM!

Again, to clarify why I deleted posts.

It was a back-and-forth banter of sarcasm and negativity. Each post played off of the other. Without deleting the series, it did not seem possible to create a warmer environment.

Please correct me if I somehow misunderstood, and I can re-instate.

Also, please suggest a better approach to creating a more positive, supportive environment, if you have one.

Breastcancer.org's  goal is not to allow a theatre for such conversations, but to provide support, information, advice and friendship to those affected by breast cancer.

    Thanks for your help.

Welcome home, BarbaraA! You go on a cruise and on your first full day home you go out for Eggs Benedict. How do you manage this?

Re: the deletions. It's my understanding that when the mods delete posts they'll delete whatever instigated the trouble and many posts associated with that. Many of those deleted posts will not have violated any rules but are "gone" because they were a part of the discussion.

The best Eggs Benedict I've ever had are at the Boat House - Isle of Palms SC - instead of an english muffin the eggs are on a perfectly prepared crab cake - divine!

Melissa, we are trying, with this thread, to have a supportive environment. Yet, the stealth deleters and people who drop by and post negative things continue to occur. I feel confident that if the deleters names and the reasons they want the post deleted are posted by BCO, that will greatly improve/halt the sarcastic and sometimes hurtful posts the drive-byes continue to do (mainly on weekends...would one think they have no life?).

    Thanks for the explanation.

    edited for stupid typos.
