Susie--I will be praying for you tomorrow; I hate that you have to have so many surgeries.
Jazzy/Janet--If I can ever figure out how, I will post one of my pictures that shows what a hot mama you are! You are posing as the perfect vamp...I agree with Deborah, this could be just the greedy billing people talking, rather than the doctor himself. Check it out! How much do the greedy SOBs want?! PM me, hon!

My wonderful Sista's "I LOVE YOU ALL" Thanx for the hugs & prayers This is the best medicine for all of us-support/Love/Prayers-FRIENDSHIP & SISTERHOOD!!!
2 hours till I head out. As Jazzy mentioned, had to do a CT scan yesterday after seeing my surgeon. The coughing from the pneumonia didn't help my situation with the hernia-it tripled in size in just 1 month. The hernia is now in my pelvic and up to my belly button. The CT will show how serious it is,cause at this point it is too soon to go in & fix it due to the last surgery-still inflamtion, but if it show's we can't wait, then plans will be made asap. Otherwise, I have to wait for 4 months to let things settlle down. I went thru this last year,8 months of a hernia growing & ended up in ER & more complictions than the CT showed. SO...abit concerned that it doesn't repeat it self. The surgery today is to cut open the belly button due to a infection from a stitch that didn't dissolve-the drainage got worst & again the CT is going to show if we need to take this to the operating room-as of now, suppose to be a in & out,but I won't know all the details till I get there. I just have to laugh, cause I've been down this road so many times already-I look at surgery like getting a shot. They do a great job & take great care of me no matter what the situation-I feel spoiled at times. I'll let you all know tonite how things went-unless I pull a "SUSIE" & end up having to stay overnite. The hospital staff know me all to well & are ready for anything when it comes to me-Makes me feel special.
I love you all & prayers to each of you-Breast Cancer Awareness Month-we've all beat it & are SUPERHERO'S!! Strength/Power Love/Hugs of Steel/Tears to wash away the pain/we are the Mighty PINK WARRIOR'S!!!!
LOVE THE PHOTO!!!!
Take care Chow XOXO Susie

Teresa-AWESOME video!! Brought tears to my eyes-A Wonderful Friend that I lost 6 weeks ago...Her sister sang this song at her memorial. It is such a inspiring song & I know that all of us are here for each other. Teresa, know that we all are here for you & when you are feeling down,go to the photos & see & feel the love we have for each other, listen to the CD we got & remember......Stand by you!!

Thanks everyone,
2 year anniversary coming up, my moms birthday is oct 19th and I miss her so much, looking at another surgery, the holidays
Just rough. Oh yea I have PTSD. I saw a therapist, actually 2, 2 times each....I just didn't see the point. I lost both my grandparents, 2 aunts and watch my mom die from colon cancer then got diagnosed with BC in 7 months. I am a little scarred from it all. Im better than I was last year. LOL guess thats not saying much but hell Im getting there.
Oh by the way....I didn't get a CD
I really would love a copy though....anyone want to make me a copy and drop it in the mail????Teresa
-
Teresa.. Remember... I have a copy for you... I will bring it next Friday when I see you !
Girl.. you HAVE been through it. WOW... I am so sorry.
... I pray for you! -
Checking in ladies...I just added more photos to the site and some of those shots remind me of why I love photography, especially catching unstaged moments and real human connections. School is stressfull and it looks like my "stepmom" wont be making it to the new year
. I hope I can get my revision done this month..my girls are doing wierd things. Everyday its a new ripple...I thought being young was supposed to keep them firm/full..I am afraid I will wake up with raisin boobs! Good luck with your Estepp, Suzie just uploaded a picture of you hugs to you pretty girl, Sandy I though for a second someone accidently got into our group lol. Gotta go stay positive ladies -
Teresa--I'm copying here what I said to KEW/Karen on Exchange City. About six months after my mastectomy, I got so depressed I had to try going to a therapist. (She's wonderful, btw, and I'm still seeing her). She recommended a book called "Dancing in Limbo", which is available on Amazon.com and is written by two cancer survivors. When I read the book, I was amazed: some of the quotes in the book from survivors were things I had said, or thought, myself! We all go through stages, of depression, anger, and grief, and this book really helped me to make more sense of how I was feeling. I couldn't understand before why I was so depressed when my prognosis was so good. I still refer to it on dark days. I would highly recommend it to you, and to any of my sisters here. It helps to know, we are not crazy! There are reasons why we feel the way we do, and we are entitled to our feelings.
Love to you, and to all my sisters,
Diane

Teresa- when I read your last entry-OMGOSH-My Mom's birthday is this month as well on the 21st, she would've been 69. I lost her 3 years ago this month on the 29th to a horrible car accident involving 2 horses. Then 2 months to the date-almost died twice due to diverticulitics then to find out 8 months later that I had BC also. I miss her soo much-she was my best friend & turely believe that her death played a big part on my medical journey. The holidays were the hardest, they all came right after losing her. I'm seeing a therapist & this month is hitting me hard. I understand how your feeling. If you ever want to chat-I'm here , just let me know.
Sista's-good news & Great news. 1st the great new's-surgery was a piece of cake-there were 2 stitches removed, one was about 1/2 & the other in a loop knot with twist's on it-hard to believe they could cause so much drainage-got to come home YEAH!!! Now the good news.......I don't have to wait 3-6 months to get the hernia taken care of. The CT showed that we have to take care of it alot sooner than we thought. There are already blockages & it looks alot like last year's which gave us some trouble, but thoses hernia's weren't the type that strangle, which is what is happening with this one. The hernia is in my pelvic & all the way up to my belly button & starting to go over to the right side. My belly on the left side has tripled in size in just 1 month. This is the bad hernia to have-the coughing made it worst & we can't wait to take care of it. The Dr./surgeon told me we have to wait to let the infection heal from the stitches removed, don't want any extra issues to deal with the serious situation already. Will see him next week to discuss the date-looking at 2-3 weeks or sooner if it takes another turn.
It appears we are all getting some work done on our tired worn out bodies. I'll keep you all posted. Love all the photo's-Thanx Quinn!! now I need to figure out how to do mine-I took alot of the dolphins & Big cats, don't know if you all need those. But have several of some beautiful ladies!!!!!
Take care Chow XOXO Susie

Ok I just have to say all of this right now. I am sitting here in bed reading these posts and Im crying like a big baby.
Why? Well because of all of you. You guys make my heart feel so full. I can not even begin to tell you what meeting you all and just talking to you guys has meant to me. I can come here and say hey I feel sad and scared today, then someone like Susie opens up her heart and shows me that Im not alone. You opened up your wounds and your hurt for me....do you know what a special thing that is?
Laura you have become my personal cheerleader. You are going to take time out of your busy life to come to my doctor appointment, to come support someone you just met...do you know what a beautiful person that makes you?
I have been touched (literally LOL ok I couldn't help it, I had to say it) by Deborah and her willingness to give us the info we need when obviously not every doctor is forthcoming in that info.
Tracey, you invited me to your home in San Antonio...and I believe you really meant it lol. Everyone of you, Janet, Jazzy, Diane, Chancie, Karen, Robin, Gisella, Sandy, Clare, Packergirl, Heymoose, and I know darn well Im leaving names out because well...I forget my own name damn it but everyone of you guys mean the world to me.
I hate that I got breast cancer, I hate what it has done to my body and my mind, I hate ever damn thing about it....except you guys. You all make me feel so truly blessed.
So now that I have totally got all mushy and stuff. I just want to say thanks....you guys are the best.

Packergirl is here in California on a business trip. She has been traveling....I'm sure she will post when she gets some time to do so....
-
Yes Teresa, I have indeed touched a lot of boobies in the past year! LOL!!! Your sweet words about everyone....made me choke up with tears too! And Laura IS a beautiful person and she has an incredible heart and I am so relieved she will be going with you next week!
-
Hi ya'll! I haven't forgotten about all of you and think of ya'll daily. Best wishes for those undergoing surgery soon - please keep us updated as I do read this thread daily. I can't wait until our get together next year.
Life has been hectic - let's just say my horse that is supposed to keep me happy and reduce my stress is doing nothing but causing me major stress by continually hurting herself jumping out of the pastures, etc. I had the vet out Monday and Tuesday this week and have had to drive there every single day to give her medication which takes 3 hours total out of my day so I am exhausted beyond belief.
I did see my oncologist yesterday and will be starting Tamoxifen tonight. He also gave me premarin (?) cream so that I can get my mojo back and start having awesome relations with my hubby again so I will be picking that up with my Tamoxifen today. Saw my breast surgeon on Thursday, why he wanted to see me I have no clue but I guess it was a follow up and heck.....I like the idea that every doctor (surgeon, oncologist, radiologist) all want to have me come back for follow up appts.
My breast surgeon did get on me about not doing self breast examinations. I told him I wasn't any good at it, they were the professionals and as much as they touch and feel me on a regular basis now they would find a lump before I would
I will be dammed if my oncologist on Friday did the exact same thing - I guess 2 pairs of hands is better than one! -
Hurray for me!!!! I don't know how I did it....But I did!!!! MY sister Debra downloaded my photo's to documents & then left me on my own-it was late. I began to play with it-1st got a few on my web site-SUCCESS, so.... I thought I could give our site a try. Took awhile-had to select each of them one at a time, but it worked. I really didn't think you would all want about 40 pic's of Dolphin's & the big Cat's-so this was ok with me to be able to pick & choose what to make you all loook at. LOL LOL -Plus using the brain is a good thing to make sure it still function's!!!!!
You all choke me up-Your so amazing each & everyone of you in her own special UNIQUE way!!
Take care Chow XOXO Susie
