MB, a big box is coming your way, courtesy of UPS. To heck with the Post Office! <grin> I shoved some extra squares in there so there's probably close to 40. Nothing fancy, just single crochet. But I may get inspired to try something more complex.

I am finishing an afghan tonight.....I can only sit for a short time before I have problems with the darn back/legs. I do try to crochet lying down....however the hand and arm goes to sleep.
Thank you one and all!!!
-
Madison, I had planned on calling last night but I fell asleep! Please take care of yourself. You have so much going on with K's wedding that you need to take a break. Okay?
Talk with you later.
Love ya
-
Thanks for all the well wishes ladies....
Im still having troubles and havent received the test results yet....should be no later than the first part of next week....I sure hate this, achey and exhausted should be my sign off name lately!!!!!
I tried to crochet a bit this weekend to see if it would help with the stiffness and aches in my fingers....did seem to help some but cant do it for more than a row or two at a time so will continue to chug away at the squares.
Hugs to everyone
Jule

Jpann, sorry you are having so much pain......I am working on squares so I hope to have some finished soon!.......
happy crocheting!......
-
Madison, oh I was so hoping you were feeling better. Can't remember how long you have to wait before another injection is possible - but I'm sure it can't be to soon. Wish I could do something for you.
Jpann, hope you get the results of your test earlier than expected and that you can get some relief.
I have around 30 squares to mail. I need to get a box large enough to hold them. They aren't bordered so where should I send them? May be next week before they get in the mail - just need to know where they need to go.
-
Thank you Naniam, Im hoping for that too....I took my girlfriend for a brain scan this morning, she is suppose to get results tomorrow so am more worried about her than me. Also my son, a couple of months ago he started coughing blood, not lots but enough to be concerning so doctors have tested for all kinds of things. Found he has a hiateal (sp?) hernia in his lower esophogus(sp?) but they also found a spot on his lung so biopsied it at the same time as the scope...
I talked to him a bit ago and he said the results of the biopsy are back and that he would prefer to talk to us in person instead of over the phone so now I scared silly about his situation as there is alot of "c" in my dads family and one a couple of them have directly been lung cancer.
Please keep my son and friend in your prayers....when it rains around this house it POURS!!!!!!
Im going to use making squares as a way to hopefully stay busy this next few days until my son comes for our talk but not sure how many I can do with the hands being hurtful.
I also wanted to ask if anyone has ever heard that high cholestrol meds can make a person have sever bone pain?? The admitting lady at the hospital this morning was telling us that she was on Lipitor for about 3 months and ended up bed ridden until it finally worked its way out of her system. Im not taking that med but am taking Lovstatin for cholestrol so am wondering if Im testing for the wrong things.
Hugs to all
Jule

Jule, saying prayers that your son is alright. Also, hoping your girlfriend gets good scan results.
I'm sure someone will be able to answer your question about Lipitor.
Please take care of yourself and let us know your son is doing and the scan results for your girlfriend.
Hugs to you,
Madison
-
Jule, what a day you have had. Please let us know about your son, your friend and your own test. All of us would be upset if we were told to come in to get the results of our child's biopsy.
Know that Lipitor can cause muscle/joint pains but wasn't aware they were that severe. I think sometimes the combination of drugs we take - cholesterol with other drugs - makes side effects worse. JMHO.
-
Jule..... bless you, your son and your friend. Sending lots of prayers to you all.
Yes, cholesterol meds can cause muscle/joint pains. My mom isn't able to take any of them due to this. She's been off them for almost a year now and is so much better. She does have to watch her diet closer, but doesn't have the aches/pain she did before.
-
Yes, I have a friend who can't take Lipitor because it makes her muscles and joints hurt really bad. Did you just start taking the cholesterol meds recently? Like within the past six months? If you've been on them for years, I wouldn't think a new side effect would pop up out of the blue, but what do *I* know? <grin> It's definitely something to ask your doctor about.
-
Thank you all for the well wishes...I kind of felt like a whiner posting here yesterday it just seemed like the place to be...I will update on things as we get information.
Chumfry-I took this med for a few months a couple of years back....it dropped my choletrol back then so primary took me off...I didnt have these se's so when she found the cholestrol level high again she put me back on it...Ive been taking it for 3 months this time.
Again, thanks to all of you...I really, really appreciate all your support.
Jule

Did you guys receive my envelope?
-
Praying for us all to be healthy(er) and to get or stay well.
Jule, the cholesterol medication may be causing you to feel poorly. I stopped taking Zocor for that reason (felt sort of run-down and crummy) so the doctor switched me to Pravachol and that has been OK for the most part.
I am visiting the relatives in Pittsburgh this weekend. There is a new baby in the family and I knitted a baby sweater. BUT it calls for a crocheted border all around. So guess what -- I had to learn to crochet (again) and it's not that hard!!! Guess I will have border my own squares from now on. I will give it a shot anyway.
-
Dreamwriter.. Iwent out and bought a LOT of black yarn.. poor girl thought Iwas doing a black afagan....lol...
MB
-
Dreamwriter...... I received your squares and have used one already in my recent afghan. They are just lovely. Thank you so much.
I am bordering and will start another afghan soon. Thank you all so very much.

I'm hoping to find a box large enough to mail my squares as the one I have is to small. I had hoped to have them in the mail by now but things haven't been quite stable here.
Madison do you still need the squares - think it is around 30 of them.
-
Brenda, you can send them my way.
I need to make a note to myself to post a pic of the completed afghan.....
Thank you all
