Kjbell - I flew in January w/ TEs and didn't have a problem. Best wishes.
Lorraine - We will so miss you, but your trip for your birthday sounds delightful!
-
I also flew in January with my expanders and didn't have a problem. I was actually disappointed that I didn't beep going through security. I wanted to get a pic of the security guy waving that wand and only beeping around my boobs. haha but nope...no beep. didn't need to use my card or anything.
Thanks on the ps comments. He is a complete doll! I told my hubby I would have an affair with my ps....of course I said it jokingly, but I think hubby was worried. haha My ps also took us aside and said he had ordered a skin care product for our daughter. He noticed her acne and ordered it. He told us he didn't want to charge us for it or any consultations with her. He wanted to do that to thank her for taking such good care of her mom. How completely sweet is that??!! My daughter is 20 and was working at Disney World. When I was diagnosed she came home to take care of her mom.
I am definitely planning on the Vegas trip although hubby won't know about it for another month or so...haha gotta time these things just right ya know.
I'm so excited to get to know all of you better! We warriors need to stick together! Vegas won't know what happened when all of us strong women show up!
HUGS!! JazzyJ
-
No I haven't flown but I agree with Janet...I would like to have the bells and whistles going off just for the shock factor....could flash them the foob and see what happens!
-
Jazzy your ps is a saint! A caring soul has entered your life.
Yvonne-ok, now I can't wait to go thru security and have the red light flash. I will have to flash the foob! For fun, I should draw a happy face on it!
-
Yes he is a saint and I feel so lucky to have him!!! I will be posting pics soon in the pic forum.
Oh my goodness I'm getting more and more excited about Vegas!!! I'm so glad I found you guys!! I will definitely be talking about you in my next caring bridge entry!!
HUGS! To all of you! JazzyJ

Hey, here in Canada, we get 'junket' deals, packages of flights and hotel together for like $600 or so, though I have not checked very recently. Do they still do those kind of package deals? The hotels want you to stay with them, so they lure you down with good fees.....
-
Okay Ladies you will find the hotel roommate list on the first page of this thread. The list IS NOT written in stone. Again it is NOT written in stone. If there are changes that you want me to make please PM me and I will do my best to change things. The list will be changing from time to time as people join and cancel.
The next step once we lock in a hotel rate would be to designate a "lead" person within your group that doesnt mind booking the room. Usually there is a charge of one nights stay to hold the room. The easiest way would be for 1 person to put that deposit on on a card and the others reinburse her. We dont have a locked in rate yet, so no need to jump ahead of ourselves. I am shooting for mid May to lock in a rate. I will then pass the info onto everyone with the info you will need to book your groups room. If you have any questions or comments please dont hesitate to let me know. Also if I left anyone out please make me aware.
Yvonne, are you going with us?? I sure hope so!!!
See ya in Vegas ladies!

-
Hello Tracey, I sure hope to go on the Vegas trip but I'm hesitant about saying yes right now. So much is happening and I do hate to say yes and then have to back out. I am hoping that things will work out so that I can go with all of you girls. I would SOOOOOO love to meet you all in person! Cross your fingers and toes that everything works out!!!
-
YVONNE.. you just have to make it happen.. I understand you needing to wait and see.. buttttttt while you wait.. SAVE THOSE PENNIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even if you can only come two nights...
.. you can jump in bed with me and Linda... we are thin...hehe... Deborah is too.. Nancy surly is.. heck.. roll away bed.. we can call one up!!!!! -
I agree with Laura!! You have to make it happen!! Heck I'll sleep on the roll away!!! Yvonnne a few of the main steps to acheiving your goal is to write it down and to share it with somebody. DO IT DO IT DO IT!!!
-
LOL - You girls are too much fun!!! I truly am going to do all I can to get there and heck, I'm up more than I sleep most nights anyway so a cot would be fine with me!!!!
-
Great job on the list, Tracy! Thanks, sister.
Yvonne, I agree with the 'writing it down'. I have my 'list of 20 wishes' . I first started it about 2 years ago, and as the wishes come true, the list goes into the save file, and a new wish is added to the list. You'd be amazed at how many of my wishes have come true by writing them down! Give it a try. It's fun to make a list of 20 things you'd like to see happen in your life. And even more fun to watch them happen. Believe and it will happen!!! See you in Vegas!!
-
The list is set (but may still grow), the rooms are formed and before you know it, let the fun begin!
-
LOL.. Tracey put yvonne with me Linda and Deb.. "just incase" she can come.. OK GIRL... START SAVING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I don't know for sure if I can make it, but darn it, I'm on the list! That is how I do things, too.

-
Okay - now I'm crying!!!! You guys are just the best friends ever...sniff, sniff, sniff....I'm saving and it's written down and I told the girls I work with...SO IT HAS TO HAPPEN!!!!!
(((((((((((((((((((Laura)))))))))))))))))))))
-
Oh my goodness, this sounds like such fun! I want to meet all of you so much! Maybe I can find a way... Tracy, is there still room for procrastinators like me?
Diane
-
Yes there is still room. At some point we will have a cut off so that planning doesnt become complicated but for now the sign up is still on and popping!!!
-
All Right. Put me down for 2 people coming. I am a non-smoker and I gamble! As a metter of fact, I TEACH Blackjack...! However, I will not be staying the hotel. I will be coming to play with you all, but I will stay elsewhere because of the cost. (Another hotel puts me up for free). But I will BE at the hotel and out to play with everyone!
WAHOO!! I'M EXCITED... I missed going to Vegas this year because of this crap, and I'm not going to miss out again!! JUDY .
-
Since FACECRAFTER teaches Blackjack, maybe she should come give us some pointers. Maybe I could make enough money to fly Earleen the MakeupChick from North Carolina to California to tattoo my nipples for me.
-
Tracey - With over 30 of us thus far, I wonder if the hotel would consider allowing us to use a meeting room or some area in the hotel so that we could at least meet as a group - all of us in one place - for a continental breakfast each morning - [for those who get up before NOON DV8Q...LOL...brings back memories of me at your age].That way we could better get to know each other and discuss plans for the day.
-
Okay, I may be aging myself one way or the other....but what does DV8Q mean?
-
I also tattoo nipples at no charge. Earleen is a friend of mine. (And no, I can't bring my equipment to Vegas, It's a clean procedure and needs a proper room setup.) If Sarasota is closer for you, I could do them gladly.
-
Hey! I want Yvonne in my room!! Mona and I have a double room right now -- mainly because we both said that if the beds aren't queen-size, we prefer to sleep alone. Even if they aren't, we can do a rollaway in our room. Laura and Deb - sorry, but you can't have her.

-
I'm thinking Yvonne should be in our party room, don't you think, Tracey, Robin & Jax?
Everybody's fighting over you Yvonne--you just HAVE to make it, girlfriend!!! -
Marilyn!! How are you doing? Are the new girls staying where they're supposed to be?
-
OK, I'm coming, I can't miss all this fun! And I'll join in the fight over Yvonne too, LOL! I need a roomie and I'll take her!

You know what would be really cool? If this hotel has connecting rooms, we could get a block of connecting rooms next to each other and the party would never have to end!!
Vegas, here we come!!
-
Hello my party girls!!!! I have thought about seeing if we could get a small meeting room for us to have a meet and greet. Its gonna be fun!
Barbe...DV8Q is someones profile name. She signed up for the trip but I have no idea what her name is.
Yea Marilyn I think Yvonne belongs with us!!

Love ya Ladies.....see ya in Vegas!

-
I am doing great! My swelling has gone down considerably from my size 42 surgery bra on day 1 to a size 38 now. I think I'll be back in my size 36 by the end of the week. My lipo bruising is better and my girls look fantastic! Very, very happy they are up where they belong, and staying put! Am I ever glad I insisted on getting these fixed!!! Oh yeah! I'm happy again.
Even this nasty cough/cold bug I caught from DH isn't bumming me out. -
Good job on the rooms Tracey.......and I'm honored that you want to room with me.......and I agree Marilyn.....ours will be a party room......with room for Yvonne......see you have to come.
Cheers and Hugs!.........Vegas Baby!
Jax (which by the way is short for Jackie.....but all my friends call me Jax)
