I have stayed at the Flamingo and i just loved it. It is connected to Margareta ville. and right on the strip. Great Rooms and good food.

Jeanie ... elective surgery? ELECTIVE???? Ask him if he had to have a penisectomy if reconstruction would be ELECTIVE???? Good grief!

I am lucky to have the opposite situation with my job -- although now our short-term disability has been taken over by an insurance company, so when I called today to put in for a two-week leave when I have my fipple surgery in April (I'm having skin grafts from tummy too), they said they have to verify the time off with my PS. Well, my PS told me I'd only need a few days off, that I'll be able to just "put on a full-coverage bra to hold the dressings in place and loose-fitting pants and go to work". So now I have to see if he'll agree to tell them 2 weeks. We don't get too dressed up at work, but I can't wear sweat pants and a loose t-shirt!

    Hey Sheila,

When you have skin grafts from the belly will they give you a tummy tuck?? I am thinkin when I get to that part, I to will want skin grafted nipples. From what I have seen it looks more like a real nippple and areola. What made you choose skin graft over tattoo alone?? In detail what happens in the procedure?? Sorry for all the questions but I am very curious.

    Thanks!

I am really excited about the trip.  I told my DH last night and he is so wishing he could go... he loves Vegas.... I told him this is a girls only weekend so he needs to go another time.  I have stayed at the Monte Carlo and I like it a lot, the rooms are a little bit bigger than average.  The down side was it is at the other end of the strip across MGM and New york, New York.  We walked everywhere or took the tram.  I have also stayed a Treassure Island but those rooms are really small.  The location is great and the pool area is nice even though I never made it to the pool.

    Hugs

Jeanie - I think we should put your boss and my last boss together on an island. They would probably kill one another. They sound like twins!

Tracey - My PS plans on using tissue from my c section for my fipples when the time comes. But it won't be until after our LV trip. She doesn't want me to do it until the fall.

HI Girls, I just had to tell you the response i had for my boss after the  ELLECTIVE SURGERY comment.  I said to him. "  I'd like to tie a couple of 10 pound weights on your BALLS and have you walk around for 10 months like that!!!!"  By the way, He is a Dentist [ he is 52 and i am 55, almost }and I am his Assistant, I have been in the office for 36 years!  So, I do not feel threatened about getting fired.  We have had many issues in the past .  When I told him I was going to the MAYO CLINC for my surgery, He Said " Why would you go there, ?"  And it's been down hill since.   Have a good day ladies!  Jeanie

Jeanie:  you tell this dipstick that the difference between a wise woman and a smart woman is that the Smart one will seek out a Wise one when she has questions.

In other words,  YOU have sought out the "experts" for this and you are one smart cookie.  And IF they say you need time off, who is HE to say otherwise...

Should we, could we maybe plan one or 2 activities as a group?   I have an invitation to stay with a distant cousin and could meet at a certain time and place.  This invite came out of the blue, so I am not planning on staying at any of the hotels discussed.  May I suggest a dinner or a breakfast as one thing?   Or a dinner and show?   From past experience, some shows sell out long before the performance dates.

Welcome to any and all.    Hugs,  Nancy

    Hi Ladies,

Nancy, sure we would still love you to be included even though you wont be at the hotel with us. I think it would be a good idea if those of us who are in for a show went to one. I am gonna find out about the most popular shows that will be in Vegas that weekend. We can decide what we wanna see and buy the tickets way in advance so they dont sell out!

    Luv ya Ladies!!

I went to see Mama Mia at Mandalay Bay last year.  I do not know if they are still there but it was great.  I would see it again.  Also "O" at the Bellagio is a great show.

I vote for the CHIPPENDALES showing at the Rio for SATURDAY NITE, Sept 26th. Tix are $58.  It's billed as a fantastic "GIRLS NIGHT OUT" that doesn't disappoint. There's a free shuttle to the RIO from PARIS.

"The show is not all about the guys taking their clothes off - there is plenty of dancing and there are two aerialists in the show who perform with stunning athletic ability. Cheatham also shares his talented singing voice with the crowd, belting out everything from "Let's Get in On" by Marvin Gaye to "When Doves Cry" by Prince. "
