DebAL, Are they related? Siblings? It almost looks like a reflection in a mirror they look so much alike. Very handsome tabbies.
-
So glad my shoes are comfy. This is Nikki. She’s almost 15 and she’s pretty sick, but she’s hangin in there.
Merlin prefers my bed. Or the cardboard box in the floor. LO

Yippee! More cute cats
-
Ta Renee, Those are really fluffy cats! Not to mention relaxed.
I finally got a decent photo of Squeakers (facing forward - not walking away).
-
Gorgeous photos, and Congratulations Wren

hi fellow cat ladies, i love - love seeing ALL the cute pics! TArenee. nikki reminds me of one of my other kitties when she wasn't feeling well. She is tiny. I'm sure she is getting plenty of cuddle time. Wren, yes my 2 are sisters. A bit chubby but we are working on that. They always cuddle, always together. Cali and Lily. I will post the pic of how I first saw them at the humane society. Have great day!

Oakley holding her tail down so it doesn’t leave
-
DebAL, How could you not bring them home? Adorable.
Puzzlewoman, You do have to watch those tails. My heart kitty was a torti.
-
I love cats, too. I wish I could figure out how to put up a picture of one of my babies!
-
This is my beauty, Piper. Definitely a diva!
-
And this is my little boy, Dobby, who is quite the climber....
-
Our first cat used to climb the bookcase, then the door top and sleep in the punchbowl on top of MIL's secretary desk. She loved to travel. If the suitcase was open she'd hop in so we wouldn't forget her. We drove her to Alaska, flew her back, and made several trips between TX and OK.
Not looking forward to the shelter tomorrow. Quite a few people out and 42 cats as of this morning. They likely had more come in. It's always busy right after the fireworks.
-
Dobby looks very ornamental up there
-
Hope the shelter and its feline workload was ok Wren

Going in pretty soon. How is the heat treating you? It was on the news that Ireland is having a heat wave. 90F is a big deal here, too.
-
Entire country under hosepipe ban. Officially entire country in drought. The grass is dead. The trees are still green but leaves are drooping.
We have had occasional long hot summers before but it's rare. As we are an island we get plenty of wind, so weather tends to blow on its way pretty quickly, nothing, good or bad, hangs around long, NORMALLY. We have a temperate climate, NORMALLY. No extremes of heat, cold, or anything. We are not well set up to cope with extremes.
All the yellow stuff in photo above used to be grass!! (This is our road) now imagine the whole country like this...It is quite dramatic.
-
The news was advising sun cream on cats ears. Anyone have any experience of this? I was a little worried about whether it would be good for them to ingest as for sure they would try to wash it off.
We have been leaving bowls of water outside, not something we normally need to do, as the indoor bowl is normally sufficient.
-
FF I know there is a sunscreen available for dogs noses. Seems would be the same thing, licking it off the nose. Have no idea where to buy any of it, pet supply store? Vet? Amazon?
-
Just wanted to share a pic I took yesterday...it's tough being a catsitter! This is Luna and I have been taking care of her for 3 years when her humans are away. I absolutely adore her. She really, really looks deeply into my eyes. So now I can't wait for her humans to go away again!
-
every single kitty on this thread makes me smile! Cowgirl, tell the humans to stay away!
-
Feline, The yellow grass looks normal to me. Hardly anyone waters their grass in the summer. It stays green all winter with our rain. Ours looks pretty green because so much of it is clover.
Cowgirl, I see that cat sitting Luna is a real chore.
-
-
Oakley and me selfie. This was taken before I found out I needed a biopsy
-
I love seeing all of these pics too, they’re adorable!
Feelingfeline - so sorry about your drought!
-
Luna looks well looked after
DebAl - those babies!
Puzzelwoman what a handsome boy Oakley is!

One of those days at the shelter that keeps me volunteering. A bonded pair were adopted by a couple of really nice ladies who had lost their previous cats at 19 and 21yo. They came in January, went to foster, back to the shelter when the foster parent moved across country. Athena was a brown tabby and Artemis was black and white. You couldn't pet Artemis until Athena decided you were ok. So fun to see a pair of 10yo kitties go together to a good home.

Why thank you! He thinks he is!
