100 Days of Gratitude
Comments

Thank you all for this particular thread. It is a PERFECT time for me to find my "attitude of gratitude" ; I am really struggling here but hoping I can search and find some non-negatively and look for some positive thoughts at this most difficult time in my life.
Peace and love, LOVE n PEACE to all of my wonderful survivor friends.
-
today I'm grateful I saw a beautiful sunset
-
Red -enjoy Easter How wonderful your children are all stepping up!
Grateful this AM that I am still here to share. Had to tell my 15 year old daughter that she could no longer see her boyfriend (just found out he is 20!) LOL
-
-
Grateful for the great exercise instructors at my YMCA.
-
Red, she's just a Heinz 57. At first, when she was a small puppy, we thought she was just an old hound dog, but hound dogs don't get that big and they're not that crazy hyper.
Today I'm grateful for allergy meds, a comfy bed, and sweet tarts.
-
Day 107: Today I am grateful for Facebook to be able to keep in touch with friends and family I would have lost contact many years ago with because I'm a bad snail-mail letter writer. (Otherwise, not too keen on FB as too many use it to post so much insignificant stuff through out the day - I wonder how they get any work done, especially those at work!)
-
RedReading- I'm a child and adolescent psychiatrist. Most days are very rewarding, although right after I posted that I had a string of patients who were not doing well.

April 17,
Today I am grateful for short work weeks. Really grateful!!!
Uds what a rewarding job.
Maddy, I agree with you about FB. I have reconnected with some old friends, but a lot of it is just trash.
Susie, sounds like she's got some lab in her. How old is she?
Onco, why are you emailing your alderman? If it's private ignore my question.
Whacko! Welcome to our thread. It's important to try to be positive and see the good in our lives. Sorry to hear that you are struggling. Stick with us for a while, even if you don't feel like you have nothing to be grateful for, you might read another post and say, oh yeah, me too. {{{{Whacko}}}}

Day 9....I'm grateful, NOT for cancer, but for all the incredible blessings that have come into my life since dx.
God has blessed me with an awesome support group. My family, friends, and church family have overwhelmed me with blessing throughout this ordeal. I've made many new friends including all of my BCO gals.
Feeling blessed
-
Today I am incredibly thankful for my so very supportive and kind coworkers. I miss seeing them every day.
Soteria, I second that. Post cancer dx I have experienced so many blessings. I hope each and everyone of you wonderful ladies have been experiencing blessings throughout this difficult journey!
-
I am so extremely grateful that the governor signed a breast density reporting bill into law today. From October, AZ women will receive notification of their dense breasts in their mammogram results letter. I am so happy!
-
4/17- Grateful for a wonderful evening out to hear some great jazz.
-
Grateful that a good friend got safely home from a long trip.
-
Onco sounds like you have some deja moo going on there. TeeHee.
April 18,
I am grateful for a wonderful party last night compliments of my employer. It was a blast! Then we were off to an 80's revival at a local club. Great music! Posting a pic of me and two co-workers and my DH and I.
Yes, I have a monkey on my back. Lol -
I love the '80s, and the '70s, and the '60s!
-
Fabulous pics Red
Yesterday grateful that I was able to accomplish my workload so that I could say......
Grateful that I can have the day off today cause I got everything done at work yesterday and that it's almost 2pm and I'm still in my pjs but the laundry is almost done
-
-
Love your pictures, Red, and the monkey on your back.
Grateful that after a week of feeling positively lousy, I feel almost normal and well again.
Grateful for the beautiful Maundy Thursday service at my wonderful little church last night and sharing the beauty of it with my friends there.
-
Grateful that I feel better today so I could take my MIL on our regular every Friday grocery shopping trip.
It's raining today so maybe the pollen will get washed away a bit.
Love the pics Red, looks like so much fun, what sweet co workers and of course DH.
-
Thank you (*bows)
Onco, darn it you're right. They do look like sausages. Lol
-
Day 10....I'm really late posting tonight. I was busy with my 12 year old Grandaughter, Jana, today, and I'm grateful for her company, and that's she's such a sweet, smart, funny, helpful, young lady.
She decided she wanted to give her old Maw a head massage. She rubbed my head for about 40 minutes, even though I kept telling her to stop if she was tired. It was heavenly. But when she was done I looked like a frightened poodle. My post chemo hair came back in curly. When she finished with me, I looked rather scary.
-
I am so very grateful for such a beautiful morning. It rained last night, the dogwoods are blooming, the trees are putting on leaves, the grass looks electric green. Spring is Gods sign that life is meant to go on. Everything renewed again. Pretty deep for so early in the morning.
-
Soteria, what a sweet granddaughter. I wish you'd taken a picture of yourself when she was done. I'm sure it would be worth a few giggles - frightened poodle head! Lol.

Today I am grateful to finally finish my taxes. Done! We have until May 5th this year, but I'm glad I don't have to worry about it any more.
-
Day 108: very grateful I wasn't attacked by my next-door neighbors' dog - in my own back yard! A bird was making a lot of strange noises (I think it's one that comes back each year and squawks at DD's cat because I think she attacked a baby bird a couple years ago). Cat was actually behaving herself sitting on the back wall so I stayed out there to enjoy the early morning. Next thing I know I hear the dog and this is what I see (just happened to have my cell with me):
Now, on our side, the wall is 8ft tall, on theirs it's 6 ft tall and this dog is huge! It appears to be part Great Dane, (it's up to my arm pits), part something else. It was growling fiercely and seemed very unhappy and if it figures it out, am afraid it could jump the wall in a heart beat. Think I'm going to show these photos to the new neighbors and ask if I can make friends with the dog in their presence.
-
Yikes! Yes, you would want that dog to be your friend!
I am grateful because this is what I saw when I opened the front door this morning:
-
RedReading.....for your eyes only
-
-
Scary dog!! Glad you have the fence
Soteria - love the hair. Chemo curl here as well
Grateful today to be at the Cape, reasonably good weather and with good friends for Easter
