I don't think I've posted here before, but reading some of your comments made me remember a poster I made for my office (a quote by Wayne Dyer) when I was counseling students...

"When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."

I just thought I was being annoyingly motivational, but over the years, I finally learned how to change the way I looked at things.

Whether it's intentional gratitude, or intentional grace - the more you practice, the more you recognize the good things happening around you. (2TA alluded to this in one of her recent posts.) It's really life-changing.

What a great thread this is!!!

Ruth and Susie, I'm so very sorry for the loss of your friends. Will keep you and their families in my prayers.

Welcome to the newbies, Blessings and Soteria.

Chrissy, sleep is so important, glad you got a bunch.

Onco, I'm envious, wishing I had access to a pool

Pooh, hoping you're back before the 100 days.

Red, Ruth, Cheryl, Jazzy (sorry who else I missed) - let's keep going I intend to.

Ruth I agree! I always say, "The best part of waking up is Folgers in my cup and Jesus in my heart."

Day 3 (I started late)..... I'm thankful for Springtime. The grass is turning green. There are new buds on the trees, my daffodils are bloomed. I can barely wait for the Forsythias & lilacs to pop.

I just read this page's gratitudes and I have a big smile on my face!

April 11, day 101 (I didn't have to do the math, Maddy did it for me)

Today I am grateful that when I was late this morning, I wasn't caught!!! I hate being late, but instead of hitting my usual snooze, I turned my alarm off. And slept another hour - oops.

Susie and Ruth, you are still in my prayers.

4/11- grateful for a quick and good visit with my MO today. I really like him and grateful to have him as part of my medical team for ongoing follow up.

Welcome to this thread Blessings and Soteria. I know you from other threads, maybe the Insomniacs? I joined here about a month ago and love reading the positive things people have to share and love to share my own daily gratitudes.

I also love that quote by Wayne Dyer too!

Grateful that my so-called lingering bronchitis was actually properly diagnosed as reactivated asthma.  I have an awesome asthma doctor and the meds he prescribed are beginning to work.  I can finally breathe better.  What did people do in previous eras?

Grateful that from somewhere some energy arrived and I managed to get my outside patio area swept and de-cob webbed!  It looks soooo much better now!  Now for another surge of said energy to get the rest of my house clean........lol.

Ever so grateful that my DH woke me up with a back rub this morning. My back has been acting up this week.

Honey, glad you're on the road to recovery.

I love this thread! I just joined and I am  past the 100 days (124th day woohoo!) but there is so so much I am grateful for. And as others mentioned staying positive does make such a big difference on this path to healing!

I am mostly thankful for the good response to the chemo drugs I have been receiving and I am currently receiving. I am very optimistic that I will have a pathological complete response by the end of chemo :) So very thankful for the great support I have been receiving from friends, family and even work place. I couldn't have done it without them.

And I am very thankful for finally having stumbled upon this awesome website. Reading the different blogs and topics keep me up till late in the night lol. I have learned a lot from the different posts and found a lot of encouragement for the path ahead.

Susie and Ruthbru, I am keeping your friends in my prayers! My heart goes out to their families for their loss

    Welcome to Susanna and Optimi.

Optimi, have you been doing the Gratitude elsewhere? 124 Days - wow.

Susanna, I am also grateful for Ruth, she has introduced me to 3 or 4 threads I had never explored and I like them all.

RedReading, it stands for American College Testing, a standardized test for high school achievement and college admissions. Similar to a SAT. Some of the kids are so nervous.

I am grateful it is a beautiful, warm & sunny day.

Welcome Optimi. Yes, BCO is a great source for information, friendship & advice from others who really do 'get it', encouragement, and even fun (who would have thought?).

Thanks Susannah and Red! Yes, I do tend the pop around a lot.....of course, I get absolutely nothing else done Shocked.

Besides sending the taxes off, I am also grateful for a nice day and the chance to spend some of it outside.

Ruth - good news for me! The cdn government has shut down their Web based tax filing and will extending the due date of filing by the same number of days that they are down. It's cuz of the Heartbleed virus

4/12- grateful for my backyard patio. I have been busy cleaning things up, putting plants out doors while butterflies danced around the back yard today.
