PRAYER REQUEST:
My nephew's wife, Melissa was admitted to the hospital this morning. She's 22 weeks pregnant with twin girls. She awoke during the night to find that she was bleeding. When she arrived at the hospital, she was dilating, so they admitted her.
Melissa has been on bed rest for a few weeks. She had a really difficult time getting pregnant. She took hormone injections for some time, and invitro was done twice.
Please pray for Ted, Melissa, and their babies.
I'll keep you posted.

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. Psa. 139:13 ESV
There is not another person on the earth just like you. Your DNA, your tongue, your eyes, your fingerprints are all unique, and God created you just the way that you are. If you were anyone else, you would not be YOU.
God has a plan and a purpose for your life. You are special. And He knows who you are… because it was His idea to make you. Just. As. You. Are. -
Jesus Can Set Them Free
And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. - Matthew 10:7-8
There are those who've said that some of the diseases that are on the rampage right now, diseases such as AIDS, are God's way of punishing immoral people today. There is absolutely no scriptural basis for that!
God does not bring disease on the human race. In fact, if there's anybody in heaven and earth who hates it, it's Jesus. The devil is the one who's trying to tell us otherwise. He's promoting a lie, trying to get us to believe God is the one who's inflicting these diseases on people because he knows that if the victims believe that, it will drive them further from God than ever. And that's his aim.
It's time you and I as believers put a stop to that lie. Some time ago, the Lord spoke to my heart and told me so. He said, "Reach out to those who are suffering. Let them know I didn't do this to them. Let them know I'm their Deliverer!"
That word was not just for me, it was for the whole Body of Christ. We need to tell people who've been afflicted with AIDS or any such disease that Jesus is Lord over it. We need to tell them that God loves them dearly, and He has the desire and the power to heal them.
God is not responsible for the suffering we're seeing around us. That's just a nasty lie the devil is passing around. And if you and I do our job right, very soon another word is going to start spreading through the streets. The news is going to get out that Jesus Christ is not their captor, He's the One who can set them free!

My nephew's wife, Melissa had the twin girls this morning. She would have been 24 weeks tomorrow. They weigh 1.3 & 1.2 lbs. so far they are stable, and Teddy says they are feisty. They're names are Gaelic. Dechlan (full of goodness) & Sloan (warrior).
Doctors will know more in a couple of days. Please continue to lift them up in prayer. I'm believing even the doctors will be amazed at what our Awesome God will do.

Carren & Srh, thank you very much for your prayers. I'm believing for 2 miracles here. I know God is able to strengthen every cell, every organ, every muscle, every bone. He knew them before they were formed in their mother's womb. Jeremiah 1:5.

What Does Not Kill You
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2–4 NIV
There was an incredible generation of people that came out of the Great Depression. When times became hard the people adapted and became tough. The other side of the coin is that like a child, when life becomes easy we tend to become spoiled.
Many people are having it tough today and are going through so much just to live. These trials will make you better. You will become wiser, stronger and a better person when you come out the other side.
Know today that when your faith is stretched it will come back stronger. Just like you have to stress a muscle to make it grow, so does your faith. What does not kill you, will make you stronger. -
You are my hiding place;
you will protect me from trouble
and surround me with songs of deliverance.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
Do not be like the horse or the mule,
which have no understanding
but must be controlled by bit and bridle
or they will not come to you.
Many are the woes of the wicked,
but the Lord’s unfailing love
surrounds the one who trusts in him.
Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous;
sing, all you who are upright in heart! Psalm 32:7-11 -
Woke up from a dream with an Evangelist - not real - Darlene Davidina and then I 'heard' two sayings. Darlene means Darling and David(ina) means Beloved. So it the dream meant: 'Darling Beloved, I am the peacemaker. I am the reconcilor.' How cool is that. I have been studying the words bitterness and gall. They all fit together. We are called to the ministry of reconciliaton. 2Cor 5:11 - end. After I read that, I carried on into Chapter 6 and read about Pauls' life issues. I thought I (we) had issues here on the BCO; I read Paul and am encouraged to say the least, as he had still kindness, peace, love...despite all the adversities. Even in our suffering we minister to others. Be encouraged. Be at Peace.
-
Carren, thank you so much for sharing. We can sure learn a lot from Paul's life, can't we?
I know how bitterness & gall can destroy the one who carries them. Bitterness takes root when we don't forgive. It's like taking a bit of arsenic each day, while waiting, subconsciously, for the other person to suffer.
Forgiveness sets us free!
I love the Darlene (Darling) & Davidina (Beloved)! How awesome is our God???

The Calling and The Sending
As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. Come, follow me, Jesus said, and I will send you out to fish for people. At once they left their nets and followed him. Matthew 4:18–20 NIV
Jesus told Peter and Andrew to follow Him and that He would send them out to fish for men. They followed Jesus a long time before this actually took place, but it did take place because in chapter 10 He sent them out.
There is an amount of time between Jesus calling you, and Jesus sending you. How long is unknown to us and it varies person to person. This span of time varies throughout the Bible. David was king at thirty, Moses started his ministry at eighty.
Has God called you for something, but it has yet to come to pass? Do not give up yet, this is perfectly normal. God is faithful, and there is a wait between the calling and the sending. -
People fail. We do not like this reality, but there are times when, no matter how hard we try or how talented we may be, we simply do not succeed or reach our goal.
How are we to succeed at a given task, especially in situations when the odds are against us? For believers in Christ Jesus, the answer is to live out a radical faith in the knowledge that our God is willing and able to overcome our weaknesses.
Sarah laughed when she overheard the Lord prophesy that she would bear a son. “Is anything too difficult for the Lord?” He asked . Within a year, that question was answered when the elderly woman gave birth to baby Isaac. She saw that God was able to accomplish the unimaginable.
When God sent Moses to Pharaoh to demand the release of the Hebrew slaves, Moses was scared. “Who am I,” he asked, “that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the Sons of Israel out of Egypt?”. God replied with assurance that He would pave the way for the Hebrews’ release, which He did in a miraculous way. Truly, Moses saw that God was more than able.
On our own, we can accomplish nothing . However, when we operate within the will of God, we have access to a limitless power source that far exceeds our comprehension. If you are overcome by the burdens of the world, it is time to throw yourself into the arms of the only one who can carry your heavy load. Trust in Him and learn for yourself that God is able. -
Noah’s Family
So the LORD said, I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them. But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD. These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God. And Noah had three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Genesis 6:7–10 ESV
When the Earth had become totally corrupt and the thoughts of the people were only evil all the time, the Lord decided to start over. Noah was different from the rest. He was walking close to God, he was trying to do right. Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. Noah, his wife, his three sons, and their wives were spared and survived the flood that came. There were eight of them.
Scripture does not mention that his wife was righteous, or his sons and their wives. It only mentions Noah’s relationship with God. When Lot was rescued from Sodom, his wife and daughters went out of the city with him.
Serving God will affect those you care about. Your acts alone may not save them but you will be a light and God will draw them. When things get bad they will follow you, just like Noah’s family. -
Discouragement can result from different scenarios, but Satan is the instigator. He will do anything he can to dishearten us and keep our focus on negative things instead of on God.
A subtle form of spiritual discouragement is the idea that we cannot please God. This is a trap of the Devil, and too many Christians are ensnared by it. If we were to write down everything we thought we must do to please God, how long would that list be before it was complete? We would assume we should read the Bible more, pray more, give more, and witness more. We could probably fill up both sides of the paper. Then we would look at our list and realize it’s impossible to accomplish all of it. That’s the trap. What pleases the Lord is our obedience, not our adherence to a long checklist of duties.
Unanswered prayer is another source of discouragement. When we present a request to the Lord, He does not necessarily answer in the manner or timing that would be our preference. When that is the case, we will far too often allow discouragement to creep in, and from there, we might decide to give up on prayer.
Yesterday we saw that focusing on the Lord is essential for breaking the chains of discouragement. When you turn to God, it is also helpful to pray three things aloud. First, thank Him for being with you while you feel disheartened. Second, admit He is in control of your life. And third, acknowledge that He is good and will ultimately work the circumstances for your benefit. -
Woke up with this saying going through my head. "God in, God out; garbage in, garbage out." Okay, not so prophetic or inspiring.
However, after watching some of the Grammy's the other night - it makes sense to me! Carren -
Carren, I love it! It makes perfect sense to me. I didn't watch the Grammys, but I read about them. I saw that Mandisa felt led to forgo them, and Natalie Grant & her husband walked out because of all the ungodliness.
I'm stunned at what's deemed appropriate for Prime Time TV. My DH watches "2 Broke Girls." I can barely stand to be in the room when it's playing. It's down right vulgar. It's on at 8:30 pm (prime time) but a God fearing family like the Robertsons on Duck Dynasty is on at 10:00 pm. Go figure.
Have a very blessed day, and thanks for checking in.

Don’t Become A Statue
And Moses said to the people, Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be silent. The LORD said to Moses, Why do you cry to me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward. Exodus 14:13–16 ESV
Moses and the Israelites stood on the bank of the river with the Egyptian army closing in on them. He had just finished a great faith filled speech about fear and said that the enemy that you see today, you will never see again. The following verse the Lord asked him: “Why do cry to Me? Tell the people to go forward.”
Sometimes we can become paralyzed waiting to know the will of God. Sure we need to pray and listen, but do we really need seven confirmations to get started? A car can only be steered while moving and often the Lord speaks to us after we start the journey.
If you miss Him, He will find you. When you feel Him calling you to do something, pray about it and move forward. Don’t become a statue. -
A Friend Forever
Listen to me, O house of Jacob, all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been borne by me from before your birth, carried from the womb; even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save. Isaiah 46:3–4 ESV
In our lives things come and go. People, pets, careers, houses, cars, churches, pastors, friends, all can be here today and gone tomorrow. There is only one thing that is unchangeable, and that is The Lord and His love for you.
If you build your life around God Almighty, who created the life within you, who sacrificed His only Son for your sins, you cannot go wrong. He will never leave you, from your childhood until you have fulfilled your days and your spirit returns back to Him. From your beginning to your end, He will be with you. He is truly a Friend forever. -
Such a Time as This
Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, Do not think to yourself that in the king’s palace you will escape any more than all the other Jews. For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this? Esther 4:12–14 ESV
John Wayne once said: Courage is being scared to death… and saddling up anyway. Esther was faced with a decision that could have led to her execution. She was scared, but finally decided if I perish, I perish. After fasting and praying she went on to meet the king and saved her people. Mordecai basically told her that if she did not go, that the Lord would send someone else, but she would miss the boat.
Do not cower back from what you are facing today, you are here for a purpose. If God is for you, who can stand against you? If you withdraw God will send someone else, but you will miss the boat.
What if you have been brought to this place for such a time as this? -
Ever wonder why two people can hear the same thing and yet have very different responses? For one, what is said makes him afraid and discouraged. For the other, his heart is so filled with faith that he dares to come against the devil and what he is doing.
In the Valley of Elah, Goliath the Philistine giant taunted the armies of Israel for 40 days. When David came on the scene, he heard the same mockings of Goliath that the rest of the Israelites heard. But somehow, those same words which caused fear in the soldiers angered David. What did David know or see that the others failed to see?
David knew that he had a covenant with God. Now, King Saul and all the soldiers with him that day also had the same covenant with God, but only David believed the covenant. And he acted on his belief. So God caused his giant to come tumbling down.
If David had such a great victory even though he was under the old covenant, how much more you and I who are under the new covenant! Today, God is asking, “Where are my Davids who will believe the new covenant?”
What is the new covenant? It is the covenant of grace. And grace means unmerited, undeserved, unearned favor. God wants us to know that He has cut this covenant with us through Christ our representative. And according to the covenant, we have His undeserved favor. We are blessed because Jesus took our beating. Because of what Jesus has done on the cross, we have victory over every giant.
Isn’t that good news? Today, God wants you to stand before your “giant” and declare that in spite of what you are going through, in spite of what is happening, you believe that God is for you because of what Jesus has done for you. And then, before your very eyes, you will see the giants of accusation, intimidation, condemnation, disease and debt fall flat before you! -
THE MOUNTAIN:
We often begin the journey up the mountain with a "just in case" backpack. Empty at the start (when we think we have submitted to the climb); but by the time we reach the top of the mountain, we are exhausted and grumbling under the burden of the load. Along the way, we have filled the empty bag with self will, self interest, striving for perfection, self intellect, wisdom of man, unnecessary self provision and more...none of which the Father asked to carry nor depend upon. In fact, He may not have even asked us to climb the mountain, but rather SPEAK to it, and it would be removed.
Mark 11:23 KJV "for verily I say unto you, That whosever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith."
Walking in true faith won't require a backpack. Speaking to the mountain, in faith, will be more than sufficient. -
Just copied and pasted this to this forum for some help here too.
Hey all! Okay, so had my 2nd Chemo (Thursday 6th) - with major reaction to the Docetaxe/Taxotere with extreme lower back pain and then across the top of my chest and down the arms. Hit the button and go a bag of Benedryl IV. Ouch - that was right up there but not as bad as the nipple radiation needles before surgery; but just about.
Now, I have the dreaded metal mouth which I first noticed yesterday (Saturday). Could it be from the Benedryl? I didn't have it from the last treatment? Is it salt water we use or soda/water - sorry haven't been paying attention to that on here. Stay warm today. Let me know. -
Carren, I've heard many of the ladies complain of the metallic taste. The belief is, it's caused by chemo. Many use plastic eating utensils instead of metal. That's supposed to help.
The mouth rinse is about a quart of water with 1 TBS of salt, and 1 TBS of baking soda. I used a jug with a lid and kept it on the bathroom sink. Everytime I went to the bathroom, or at least 4 times daily. I swished around in my mouth for 15 seconds or so, then spit it out. I never got mouth sores once.
If you have to use a bigger or smaller container, just adjust your measurements.
I hope this helps.
Blessings

Zacchaeus was a tax collector. He was despised because he was a deceitful man, cheating people of their money and resorting to false accusations to get what he wanted.
One day, Jesus visited him. The Bible makes no mention of Jesus rebuking him for his dishonest lifestyle the whole time they were together. Instead, Jesus showed him grace and honor by spending time with him. Before long, Zacchaeus stood up and declared to Jesus that he would restore fourfold to anyone he had taken from illegally, and would even give half of his goods to the poor.
A moment with Jesus completely changed Zacchaeus’ heart. A moment with grace in person—without accusations, condemnation or judgment—caused such an inward transformation that in a short time, Zacchaeus was doing outwardly what was right and in a measure no man would have expected of him!
Many people want to live right. Their concern with right living makes them focus on themselves and the things they struggle with. But it is right believing that produces right living. If you are trying to break free from an addiction that has bound you for many years, believe that Jesus loves you so much that at the cross, He paid the price for you to be completely free from any addiction. Believe that by His stripes you are healed and delivered.
Today, if you want to experience right living, find out what Christ has done for you and what you have in Him—and believe it! -
Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Most people, when they desperately want something, will say things like, “I am dying for that piece of cake!” Few will say, “I am living for that piece of cake!”
What is worse is that we are quick to mention death when things go wrong.
Yet, the truth is that every word you speak has power—to build or destroy hopes and dreams, to restore or cause loss, to heal or break the spirit, to bring delight or despair, to bless or curse—for God’s Word says that death and life are in the power of the tongue.
So stop lining your words up with the negative circumstances. Instead, start lining your words up with God’s Word and release the power of His Word to work for you.
For example, instead of speaking lack and poverty, say, “God’s Word tells me that the good things are already here. I therefore pronounce my life blessed. I pronounce my life successful. I pronounce my life great. Darkness and gloom, poverty and sickness, defeat and depression, will not be in my life!”
Instead of speaking sickness and death, say, “I will live long. I will not die young. Jesus died young for me so that I can live long for Him. I am the righteousness of God in Christ and God’s Word declares that no evil befalls the righteous. So no evil will come on me now and in the future!”
Instead of speaking fear over your children, say, “God’s Word declares that the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. Therefore, my children are delivered from every curse, every power of darkness and every evil. In the name of Jesus, I call forth a great, bright and blessed future for my children!”
God wants you to have a life filled with good days and an abundance of every good thing. So say, “In the name of Jesus, I command blessings, favor, health, provision, protection, dominion and power to fill my life!” -
This is an incredible Bible based prayer that I have had for years. For a very long time I prayed it over my family several times a week. I regret to say, I've gotten out of the habit, but today I'm starting fresh and determining to pray this prayer over my family daily. Please join me.
Blessings

The prayer is rather long, but it covers every concern....health, finances, marriage, relationships, spiritual growth, the favor of God & man, protection, salvation, and ministry.
