† Jabez †
Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying, Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring me pain! And God granted what he asked. 1 Chronicles 4:10 ESV
Balance is one of the keys to a happy life. Some people that I have met are often ashamed to ask God for anything. They feel that they have messed up so bad that they are lucky to be here at all. Others tend to think that God is our great santa claus in heaven.
The enemy will try and get you out of balance to hinder your prayers. Either you do not pray at all, or you pray for the wrong thing, or with the wrong motive. There is nothing wrong with asking God to bless you, prosper you, and keep you safe. When you come to the Lord, your past is forgiven.
If anyone on earth has a right to ask God for something, you now do. Sister Bertha Better-than-you, is actually not better than you. You are forgiven and can pray for the things that you need. Jesus told us to: Give us today our daily bread. Ask God for the things that you need. When Jabez asked, God granted his request. -
melmcbee~~What did you find out from your Dr? I hope you're feeling better. You're in my prayers.

Im getting the intercostal nerve block on Oct. 1st and then I can make an appt with my ps to get released back to work. I have a few days left of my antibiotics and so far I think its helping the cellulitis. Thanks for asking.
-
Mel~~Tell that cellulitis it has to bow down to the Name of Jesus. You were already healed by Jesus' wounds...2 Peter 2:24. Release the healing virtue of Christ into your body.

He is More Than Enough
And the LORD said to Gideon, With the 300 men who lapped I will save you and give the Midianites into your hand, and let all the others go every man to his home. Judges 7:7 ESV
Facing an army that could not even be counted, Gideon and his men walked down to the water. He had started this with 32,000 men. Now he had only 10,000 left. To make matters worse, God wanted to prune those back to. When Gideon came up from the water, he only had 300 men left with him. That was enough to accomplish the mission.
Gideon had more than enough in front of him and he did not realize it. He was scared when he had 32,000 men with him, but was victorious with 300. Jesus took a few fish and fed thousands. Sometimes we have more than enough right in front of us, yet we do not see it.
In your prayer today, ask God to reveal the resources that you may be over looking in your life. There may already be more than enough in front of you. -
America needs a visit from the Holy Spirit
Is Jonah coming to America? Jonah 1 “Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.” (Nineveh was the capital of the land of Assyria, a powerful and cruel enemy of other countries... including the longstanding enemy of Israel) The city of Nineveh is described in Genesis 10:11 as having been founded by Nimrod, the hunter who built the tower of Babel and led the world into a rebellion against God.
Think God turns a blind eye to a nation in open rebellion? Think again! God wanted Jonah to warn the people of Nineveh that enough is enough and that He was going to visit them soon, because of their evil lives. Let's consider that God had to be pretty ticked to send Jonah to warn them! Yet, Psalms describes God as being "slow to anger and rich in love!" That just tells you He had to be really pushed! I think sometimes we can mistake His "slowness to anger" as a tacit approval or that maybe He's not interested or didn't see! Don't fool yourself! God is watching and waiting... slow to anger, and rich in love! Let's take a look at how the king and citizens of Nineveh responded to Jonah's warning from God.. . The king says in chapter 3 "Let everyone call urgently on God. Let them give up their evil ways and their violence. 9 Who knows? God may yet relent and with compassion turn from his fierce anger so that we will not perish.” How did God respond?
Verse 10 When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened." Friend, if we read Jonah and take away anything I hope it is the amazing display of rich grace and mercy shown by God to the "evil doers" who bent a knee and repented! No they didn't just half heartedly confess... They put sackcloth on themselves and even covered their animals and unloaded some serious sin before God! They knew what Jonah was saying was true and they knew God was coming! Of course Jonah thought they should get what they deserved... God chose grace! Thankfully Jonah isn't God or we all might get what we deserve! Here is some great news for all of us tonight! We still have some time and there is hope for us and I believe hope for our nation! What do we do you might ask? Turn from our wicked ways and repent! How do we stop our wickedness as individuals? By turning away and turning to "The Way! " Seeking forgiveness for our sins ! Seeing our desperate need for a Savior and asking Jesus Christ to come into our heart, to be our Lord and Savior! Remember a nation is made up of it's citizens and if "we the people" will bend our knee and bow our heads in obedience then there is hope for America! 2 Chronicles 7:14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." Thanks for letting me share, Randy Young -
Hi, I am a saved, baptized and sanctified Pentecostal Christian. I am also baptized in the Holy Spirit, I found Jesus about 8 years ago when I was going through a horrific divorce from my unsaved, abusive, alcoholic husband. God has brought me through everything and I know will bring me through this. I just had a mammo that found 3 different areas of concern, one they called this a BIRADS 4 so refer me to a breast surgeon. I have complete peace about this and will do what the doctors tell me and wait on the Lord and live my life for him until this is over. Schedule for consultation with Surgeon on October 23 and will go from there.

Carol~~Thank you so much for checking in with us. I'm so sorry you have need to be on this forum, but I'm glad you found us.
I just finished radiation on aug. 13, 2013, following mastectomy (left) and 6 months of chemo.
God has been my Strength & my Joy through it all. I try to be very careful of the words I speak. I will not own this cancer. The doctors say I'm stage IIIc, God's Word says I'm HEALED! I believe the report of The Lord!
Blessings

Welcome Carol. I pray for your healing.
Soteria, I have been watching some videos on youtube about the end times and tribulation and rapture and so forth. I found this video with Perry Stone and he was discussing how through history when christians prosper they turn from God and when they have hard times they turn to God. He said if every christian would vote as a cbristian instead of on race or party affiliation than we would get our world back. Meaning we could get prayer baxk in school etc. There are enough chritians nd Jews in America to out vote the liberals.. If we would only vote by what God says is right. Interesting that our nation turns to God in desparate times but as e prosper we turn from God.
Healing hugs everyone -
Mel~~I absolutely believe that to be true. I'm sorry to say, that even in my own life, I find myself drawing closer to God when times are tough. I pray and speak to God all through the day, but I often struggle with just sitting down and spending an hour with Him alone. Praising & praying. I'm just so distracted by so many things. I really believe distraction is a weapon Satan uses to keep us from quality time with The Lord.
When I'm going through a hard time I'm much more likely to fast, pray, praise, bind, loose, declare. I guess that's why God sometimes allows the tough times. They draw us closer to him.
What area is that where you live in Florida? I lived in Cocoa for about 5 months, then in Land O Lakes for a couple years in the early 90's.

Know You Are God’s Beloved And Win
As Jesus came out of the waters of baptism, the heavens parted, the Holy Spirit descended upon Him and the Father said to Him, “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Then, going into the wilderness in the power of knowing that He was the Father’s beloved, our Lord Jesus overcame every one of the devil’s temptations.
My friend, when you know that you are the Father’s beloved because you are in Christ the Beloved, you will have the power to overcome every challenge the devil throws at you. You are probably familiar with the story of David and Goliath, but did you know that David’s name means “beloved”? It takes one who knows that he is God’s beloved to bring down the giants in life!
So whether your giant is a financial crisis, chronic illness or destructive addiction, rest in the knowledge that you are God’s beloved. It will strengthen and sustain you, and give you the faith, favor and wisdom to knock your giants down! -
Many believe that "seize the day" equates to simply being happy! As followers of Jesus Christ we have authority to seize the day even at day break and speak to it! We speak life, protection, we bind evil plotted against us and others, we speak truth and health. We seize the day and all that God has planned for us that day, that no weapon formed against us may prosper. We seize joy for that is our portion. We seize understanding and wisdom and anointing to do the will of the Father. We seize and bind any ill thoughts or attitudes, we seize and capture the spirit of fear and unworthiness and we break the heavy yokes upon our neck of those distractions. Those who have chosen Jesus and walk uprightly before Him need never seek to seize only the happiness of the day! Take authority over your day in Jesus' name. Call those things of God into your life and bind those things that are not of Him. Speak to each day! Seize the Day as God has designed and equipped you to do so. Do not settle for mere happiness for that is but a fleeting moment in time!

When I was dx'd with BC in 2011, so many people were horrified, angry, and distraught. I had to comfort more than one person who sobbed on my shoulder.
Never, ever, did I have a moment's worry about it. Oh, I dreaded what I thought would be some of the more painful issues (and thank goodness I DIDN'T know then what I later learned...
)But here is what I told people - one of three things will happen:
1. This will be easy, and God will walk beside me all the way.
2. This will be very hard, and God will carry me all the way.
3. Nothing humanly possible might work for me, and God will call me home.
Either way, I told them, I considered it a WIN-WIN situation.
I've had many "on my knees" moments since I gave my life to Christ, but sure could have used some knee pads after receiving the diagnosis, I was on them so much!
I, too, believe I am healed. Stats may say otherwise, but I do believe God has healed me, and that's the way I plan to live the rest of my life here on earth.
-
Soteria, can I ask you to give me examples of "We seize and bind any ill thoughts or attitudes, we seize and capture the spirit of fear and unworthiness " or how do you bind evil? My mom is constantly on me about speaking only positive and I know I should never say things like oh I probably have cancer but I only vaguely remember about binding evil. I know that if I have a problem with someone then I should pray for them to have peace, health, and prosperity. I always eager to learn more about how to strengthen my prayer life. Thanks
-
Blessings~~Thank you for sharing your testimony.
When I first got the call to go back for more tests after the initial mammogram, I too did a lot of fasting & praying. I was scared, but I refused to speak that fear out loud.
When I received the dx I put my armor on and decided together God & I would slay this dragon.
When asking my church family for prayer (I've always been open about the dx) I asked them to pray that through this journey, I would be a blessing to others, and that I would glorify God.
I've been amazed at how He has carried me, provided for me, and strengthened me. He has brought the most amazing people into my life over the past year.
I am truly blessed

A remnant, though small in size has great value. Ever buy new carpet and ask the installers if you could keep the remnant? Why? Most likely because somewhere along the line that little piece others saw as useless or worthless turned out to be exactly what was necessary to help repair or restore something. Never underestimate that little piece. God has divine purpose for even the smallest remnant. What a precious privilege!

For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. - Psalm 91:11
It's time to set the record straight. Angels are not kid stuff. They're not little fat babies with long blonde hair and bows and arrows in their hands. Angels are big, strong warriors. They are real. They are powerful. And, if you are a believer, they are a vital part of your life.
We see examples of what angels can do all through the Bible. For instance, when the children of Israel were fleeing from Egypt with Pharaoh's army hot on their heels, the Bible tells us that suddenly the wheels on the Egyptians' chariots got fouled up. They just quit rolling!
Who do you think caused that? The angels, of course!
They haven't retired since then either. Angels are at work today just as they've always been.
A few years ago in one of Israel's major wars, the enemy had their guns trained on Israeli cities. Those guns were the finest military equipment money could buy. They had a range of at least 20 miles and were equipped with electronic gun sights for accuracy.
But something very odd happened. Every time they fired those guns at the Israelis, they either overshot or fell far short of their targets. We know there was nothing wrong with the guns because later the Israelis captured them and fired them back at the enemy with perfect success.
What happened? Angels, that's what!
My friend, that isn't just a fairy tale. That's a real-life example of the involvement of angels in the lives of God's people today. And, if you're a child of God, then you have a right to expect God's angels to do the same kind of things for you.
So, start expecting! Say, "Thank You, heavenly Father for giving Your angels charge over me to keep me in all my ways." Once you've spoken that word of faith, stand fast. Don't fear. Don't waver. Just be patient and keep believing, and you will surely see the salvation of the Lord.

America was founded on God just like Israel, and for centuries Israel was indefeatable.
No enemy could breach the hedge god had around her. But as Israel began to get complacent, God allowed a breach in that hedge and her enemies began to defeat her again and again.
Sept. 11, 2001 was a breach in the hedge around America. Like Israel she has grown increasingly rebellious. God allowed us to be attacked by the offspring of the Assyrians (Israel's greatest enemies).
But God has never given up on Israel and I don't think he will give up on us. But, how many breaches will be in that hedge before America repents? -
Sad but true. America was founded on freedom of religion yet we have now taken religion out of schools and home. Sad
-
Without the foundation of God and Biblical truth - I would be insane dealing with bc.
Thanks for your posts. -
peacestrength~~Thank you for your post. Sometimes I look back on my past before knowing Jesus, and I wonder where I'd be today without Him. It's a terrifying thought.

At just 16, and with his parents permission, a young man drove his shiny car to visit his girlfriend. Once he arrived someone asked him to leave to do a seemingly simple errand. So the young man, giving no thought to his promise to stay where he originally went got in the car and took the girl along on the errand. Within moments there was a collision. A life was taken and many lives were changed forever. The collision came as a result of a missing stop sign, and an inexperienced driver. Vandals had removed the stop sign as a prank and the driver, being inexperienced failed to anticipate a stop was necessary. Yes, this was a true event of our family many years ago. Today I hear the Holy Spirit bring this into spiritual perspective....saints, go where you say you will go, stay where you say you will stay. Study the Word. Gain knowledge and spiritual insight. Anticipate when to stop...even if the stop sign has been taken down. The enemy is a vandal. Don't become a victim of a collision of your own soul (emotions) and the Spirit. Be wise. Be discerning. Watch for subtle warnings. Stop, look, listen and live.

PRAYER REQUEST: I just read a post on a Stage IV thread. A lady who has possibly less than a month to live ( her words ) was complaining about a neighbor and a BC patient at a lower stage than her wanting to pray with her.
My concern is the condition of her soul. She obviously isn't a believer.
I'm going to pray for her eyes to be opened, and ask all of you who read on here, whether you post or not, to please agree with me in prayer.
Father God we ask that you open this woman's spiritual eyes. That you remove the blinders and help her to see her need for a Savior. Surround her with prayer warriors even if they never speak with her directly. Holy Spirit prepare her heart to except Jesus as her Lord & savior.
I break the power of every negative word or thought she has had against Christianity.
Lord please save her. Don't let her leave this world without salvation.
In Jesus Holy Name
Amen -
Soteria,
I respect your right to your beliefs for yourself. I am glad it brings you comfort and purpose. However, I hope you stop to consider that this woman, whom you so fervently hope to make a believer, has every right to be respected in her desire not to believe as you do.
I am not Christian and never will be. I find it arrogant and extremely presumptuous when anyone, though to be honest it's almost exclusively Christians, says they will pray that I find my way to their belief. There are many beliefs and paths to G-d, for those who seek that, and not believing in G-d at all is legitimate as well.
